Quick stop thru Hiram, GA. I had zero issues with my food or service. Customer service was great, food hot, wings and chicken strips juicy. My home state which is SC, I don't often visit Zaxbys because the food is overcooked and hard. Normally I don't review quickie drive thru spots, but here is the positive for today. The last time I reviewed this location it was 7 years ago and my rating wasn't that great back then . I felt extremely compelled to leave an updated review because I've had this bad experience at least about three times recently . Tonight March 23,2024 was the last straw for me Before I got into details I want to mention I eat salads several times a week , because I love them . This is between making my own from home and from a restaurant. Tonight I was exhausted and just wanted to grab a salad for the evening and relax . I glanced at the salad from the bag and thought it looked ok . To my disappointment it was mixed salad , no shredded cheese and not one crumb of fried onions. There were only two pieces of grilled chicken that didn't seem fresh. To make matters worse , the toast indeed old one part of the slice had deep finger impressions in the bread . Food is a necessary nourishment and to play around with my food they cost nearly $11.00 for a bald headed salad is ridiculous. Literally I came home and filled the salad with left overs from my refrigerator. If I have to do this , why patronize Zaxby's ? I simply wanted a salad as advertised and I received less than what I was supposed to get . Sadly I've had to ask from the drive through if they could please place the food on the plate that I ordered. It's scary because I'd receive weird looks as if I'm insane . Words can not express how furious I am ! Food is more expensive than I've ever known in my adult life. It was close to closing time when we visited this restaurant. We went to the drive thru. I ordered the Zensation Zalad, which is a salad topped with Asian Slaw, wonton chips, and an eggroll on the side. My order was fine. My husband, on the other hand, ordered a hot (Tongue Torch) traditional wings meal with an Arnold Palmer. They were out of lemonade, and had already dumped out the tea to make his AP. If I could give zero stars I would. My ENTIRE experience was horrible. No I won't be returning and here's why. I ordered a nibbler meal with one extra nibbler, cheese curds, and 2 drinks. The cashier was confused but repeated it to me correctly. What she entered was a different story. My total was a bit high. Upon examining my receipt, I was charged for 6 nibblers instead of 4. The meal comes with 3 and I needed an extra. I asked for a refund and the manager came to give it to me. Now, I'm waiting on the side of the counter and a few minutes later, I received my order. I was missing a nibbler so I waited a few minutes longer still nothing. I told the cashier that I was missing one nibbler. She's now going back and forth with the people in the back. She then asked me to open my container (I hadn't left the counter the entire time) I asked her why would I lie about missing ONE nibbler. I said she can give it to me or refund my entire order. She said she was just doing her job. I was aggravated because they 'weren't doing their job' when actually taking my order. I go out of my way to this Zaxby's location. Normally this pays off with good food and reliable service. Unfortunately not today. I ordered a six piece chicken finger plate with double fries, and a medium Sprite. I noticed I was being undercharged for my meal. When I got to the window I made sure I was getting what I had ordered. The young lady had misunderstood my order for six chicken fingers and I was charged appropriately. Had a very busy day yesterday, and as a result, the only thing I ate all day was a chicken finger plate from this location. I brought home a wing platter for my partner. About 4hr later, I felt like I had been hit by a truck. Stomach cramps, back pain, sweating & eventual vomiting that woke me up multiple times overnight and has continued today. My partner started vomiting this afternoon as well. I'm currently sitting in urgent care on IV fluids, the dr is pretty positive it's food poisoning. I know food poisoning can occur at any establishment, I just feel like it's my duty to share in hopes management will see this review and take extra steps to ensure food is prepared/cooked properly. I haven't been sick in almost 3 years and I am absolutely miserable right now. It was clear that the back of house staff were not following Covid protocols while cooking, so I'm really hoping it's only food poisoning and not anything worse. I got the boneless buffalo chicken combo with included crinkle fries and a soda. The boneless buffalo chicken consisted of 5 1"x1" squares tossed with the world's saltiest sauce. If I could give this place zero stars I truly would. Everything about this store is piss poor. They get your order wrong, the customer service is trash, they don't give you all your change back, the fries I NEVER seasoned, & I usually the kicking chicken sandwich, the bread is never toasted. Or they'll just toast one of them. I truly hope the manager sees this or at least somebody higher up that actually cares about their business. Don't waste your time coming to this zaxby's. Placed an on-line order -- Attempted to pick up at the window as advertised on-line and printed on our receipt. I was told "the Manager said that on-line orders needed to be picked up inside." I went it and asked why we needed to come in and was told "that's what our Manager said". I pointed out that on the receipt it states that orders can be picked up at the drive-thru window. She just shrugged her shoulders and I took the order and left. 1) Advertised on-line and printed on the receipt that orders can pick up at the drive-thru window; 2) If I was to order at the window they would have to take my payment and hand me the order -- The on-line orders are already paid for -- All they had to do was hand us the order.
