History
Established in 2023.
Founded by 25-year Atlanta chef-bartender Marcus Fernandez, Zarate TiKi Co. is inspired by boyhood memories of his grandmother’s sari-sari store on Zarate Street in the Philippines. What started as a pop-up feeding Atlantans out of a car and tent has grown into a permanent walk-up food stand at 493 Flat Shoals Ave SE in East Atlanta Village.
We serve modern Filipino street eats, ube sweets, and zero-proof drinks for fast street pickup and late-night weekend food. Beyond our walk-up window, Zarate provides mobile food catering and custom private event bartending across greater Atlanta.
Meet the Business Owner: Marcus F.
Marcus Fernandez is an Atlanta hospitality veteran who has spent over the last two decades running every tier of the industry, from the back of the house to elite cocktail programming and management programs.
With Zarate TiKi Co., he’s returning to his roots. Inspired by boyhood memories of his grandmother’s neighborhood sari-sari store on Zarate Street, Marcus is translating his culinary and beverage mechanics into a fast-paced walk-up outpost in East Atlanta Village. He’s swapped the traditional dining room for a street-smart counter built on bold Filipino flavors, zero-proof island drinks, and genuine neighborhood connection.
Beyond the daily hustle at 493 Flat Shoals, Marcus drives the brand's offsite operations, offering mobile food catering and custom event bartending across greater Atlanta.
