Once I heard one High Street manager saying that after Zara arrived to London, all the other retailers have had to increase their standards as it lifted the competition into a completely new level. I agree. Zara has the same business idea as all the rest, to be a copy cat, but the way it does it, it is just above the others.
Zara has broke the records with its stock turnover, I think it now produces new collections every 11weeks or so? Opinions on the ecological side aside, but visiting the store frequently and you will always find new range. The quality usually pleasantly surprised me, with materials like wool and silk on the selection, jackets are often well tailored and with a spotless finishing.
The look for ladies is always very feminine and made for people tall and, well, skinny. The sizing is a bit random, seems tiny and varies between items. Seriously, with trousers I never know what size to try on.
I think the best part of Zara is the woman's section with classic designs and the most beautiful dresses on the High Street. read more
