I finally decided to stop in with my 5 y/o son. The outside decor and ambiance were adorable and the merchandise had fun designs. Unfortunately, the interaction with the owner completely changed the experience. He seemed irritated from the moment I ordered a hot chocolate for my son, correcting me in a rude and dismissive tone that it was "hot cocoa" and annoyedly asking how many I wanted. I said one and then asked if they had a menu so I could see what type of coffee they offered. That simple question also seemed to frustrate him and he dismissively responded, "It's just coffee," while shaking his head. His overall tone came across as arrogant, annoyed, and dismissive over normal questions, which made the interaction uncomfortable. I was shocked by the attitude, especially from a business owner. Maybe he was having a bad day, and I do see many positive reviews, but I also noticed other reviews mentioning similar experiences with the owner. It's disappointing because we were really looking forward to trying this place. I ended up saying never mind and leaving. My son didn't understand why we walked out without getting what we came for and I explained that I didn't want to support a business where customers are treated rudely. I truly hope the owner is doing okay and is able to treat customers more respectfully in the future because it seems like there's a great product behind the business. Excellent Cuppa Brew! On a long drive in to Yosemite we had the need for a well brewed cuppa joe and found this spot via our Garmin. We decided to park and walk in as opposed to using their drive-thru. The baristas were attentive, friendly, and skilled. We soon had our soy latte and cafe mocha to savor. A well down coffee service that hit the spot nicely. The little shop has other tasty bits to go along with your brew and is located in a cute little bit of tourist trap setting if you're into that kinda thing. Zander's is a much better place to get your coffee needs met than any Starbucks. read more
