After years of dental nightmares and being blessed with not super great teeth, I have finally found a place where I can relax. Adrienne at the front desk is the first interaction that you will have at OVDDS and she is a PEACH! She will get you scheduled over the phone and then get you all checked in when you arrive. She immediately put me at ease. From there, you're taken to a nice, large exam room and work starts immediately. I hate when I have to sit there and stew for 30 minutes while I wait for my hygienist to come around, but that has never happened here. My time is just as precious to them as it is to me and I always get right in and right out.

I went to see Dr Pentino for an exam. I told him what I'd like to have done, he examined my teeth…read moreand did some X-rays. We discussed what needed to be done and then he told me he'd send me the treatment plans and I could decide from the information I received. I received the treatment plans and studied the information and made a decision. I did chose the plan that costs the most. I waited for a couple of weeks before calling to tell him the plan I had chosen. I called and spoke to the office assistant. I discussed the plan with her and she started going over the pricing with me. I let her know that the price she was giving me was not the price that I was quoted. She asked me to wait a moment, I did and when she came back and told me that there was a computer error that I was charged the amount the amount that they charge the insurance companies. The cost was approximately $4000.00 dollars more than what I was quoted. I asked her to please speak to the Dr. to see if he would honor the quoted amount. I waited for her to call back, when I called back the next day she said she had not talked to the Dr yet so I waited again when I called back the office was closed on Friday. Today is Monday and the office assistant called me to say he wouldn't honor the quote he had sent to me that if he did that would be insurance fraud. I'm not sure how that would be but I do not have insurance. I was going to pay cash. I could be wrong but t think something smells fishy in Denmark! Not good business practices. How can you change the patient more than the insurance company? I know the insurance companies do not pay everything but that doesn't mean bill them less. There wasn't even any insurance company involved in this situation. . NOT HAPPY! He just lost a customer! Can't post without adding at least one star.

First, the hygienists' here are top notch, A++, but it ends there. I put up with having to sit in that darn chair for over an hour, 3X's, in five months time then being rushed through treatments to the point that I questioned how good a job was actually being performed. I shakily tolerated less than gentle numbing (okay, just plain painful). But when my temporary crown became infected due to cotton packing material being left wedged up in the gum area - things went way south. It took a few days to swell, another week because the office was off for the holidays, so my permanent crown was ready when I called in for help. Dr. Lewis went ahead and slapped that crown on - over a very inflamed gum. First time EVER I was white as a ghost and actually had nausea from pain. That crown went on to cause severe pain and to pop off twice in the next month. Did I go back to Dr. Lewis? No. Way. I paid $80 each time to have a different dentist put it back on at which time x-rays showed cement from the original crown procedure was wedged up in the gums & was causing the extended pain and swelling. Please, BEWARE.
