UPDATE: Dr. Jessica Dean reached out to me after she became aware of the issue, and it appears that…read morethere was a miscommunication compounded by the fact that we are "in flight" between our old dentist and Dean. There are procedures in place for handling after-hours patient issues, and they were able to get my son scheduled for an emergency appointment to evaluate his toothache. As a result, my rating has been adjusted. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Transferred a family of 4 to Dean Dental on the recommendation of other patients. Unfortunately, these folks do not appear to be patient-focused. Their procedure for dental emergencies is "go to urgent care," and when my 16 year old son had persistent tooth pain in July, they told me they couldn't see him before the end of August, and that I was free to find another dentist for emergency care. They don't appear to check messages when the office is closed. They don't appear to do traditional emergency appointments during normal business hours. Both of these things are common with independent dental practices, or at least the ones who are patient-focused and demonstrate a good work ethic. The staff and practitioners may be "nice," but that doesn't matter if they're not there when you need them.
