Mind you, the plaza parking lot was more than half empty, & no foot/car traffic was visible for the entire duration of this incident. Still this man took it upon himself to create an unnecessary hateful racist situation. Although he attempted to belittle my friend and I with his false sense of power and imaginary urgency for "his" parking spot it still respectfully responded that I would do so as soon as possible. He then stood at the passenger side door waiting, arms crossed as if he was a hall monitor only repeating one word "move". He then opened the passenger door and if I wouldn't have told him that I was going to call the police and inform them that' an unknown man had forcefully entered my vehicle, he would have possibly hurt my friend whom was at the passenger side. He stepped back and then blurted out "what are you stealing phones?" simply because he saw iPhones in our hand. Later, as a last resort and in child like fashion claimed to be the owner of the establishment) and was going to call the police. He pulled out his phone and dialed what seemed like12 numbers. That's when I cracked my window and told him that he could reach the police at 9-1-1 to help him get in contact with the authorities because I don't know about you, but 9-1-1 isn't 12 digits like the man was pantomiming dialing. After calling his bluff and standing my ground, I peacefully left Just like I respectfully informed the man in the beginning. This example of underlying racism is as offensive as blatant racism. The people in Merced have a right to know that this man and his business are hateful and immediately assume people of color are doing nothing but wrong and that they have some sort of power over them as they have the false idea that they are better than anyone else.
