This review is specific to our tax preparer Debbie Luna...she is the BEST..literally, I have been…read moregoing to H&R for my taxes annually for the past 20 plus years in different regions...she has been doing our taxes for the past few years sans last year (2012) filing season...we made the mistake of filing at another H&R near our home in Atwater to save gas..figuring that all preparer's are alike...NOPE...a woman last year...the OFFICE MANAGER of this particular branch, screwed up our taxes so badly and behaved equally as badly when we asked for satisfaction...well long story short...we could not get any help from H&R corporate or the branch we went to...but we called Debbie Luna...our usual preparer...she fixed it all within a day...and even gave us a certificate towards this year's tax prep fees to ensure we stay an H&R client...well we saw Debbie yesterday and she is still the best...professional, concise and honest...Thank you Debbie for all you do...cannot recommend her enough!

I have done business with Bayne Bookkeeping since 2010. They did a great job. In 2014 I received a…read moredemand for payment from California tax board for 2011. It was only $175. Each quarter I received a statement with additional fees and penalties. Dick Bayne would always tell me not to pay. He would say I didn't owe it. In 2018 the state attached my bank account and took my balance, plus the bank charged me $100 for their inconvenience! Bayne said he would handle it. Two months later the state attached another bank account. After fees and penalties I lost $900. Bayne has refused to back his work or provide an explanation. He won't even answer, or return my calls. Certified tax accountants back their work. I should have only lost the owed tax of $175. Be careful. I trusted them. Now I worry if there will be audits in the future and I will be on my own.
