Absolutely more than we wished! Service flavors, atmosphere was all absolutely perfect. Cocktails and our breakfasts were absolutely fantastic. If you are booking for flavorful, amazing dishes, come here. Came the other evening, and their pizza was outstanding as well.

Zack's on Gloucester Rd is apparently now an Italian Bistro for fresh pasta and handmade pizza. I came here for dinner at around 10pm, when the kitchens of a couple of nearby pubs were closed. The staff was friendly and the service was quick. I ordered Pasta Chicken Milanese; the pasta was fresh and well made, and the chicken was tasty. I'd have appreciated a bread basket and some olive oil.

Starring falafel and hummus toasted wrap with guest helping of lentils

I was attracted to Zack's by the fact it a) wasn't a chain and b) it serves Middle-eastern/Mediterranean fodder. It's a huge space, with plenty of room for a bigger group if needed. They serve tempting cakes, fresh juices, hot drinks and plenty of savoury options. I plumped for one of my favourites: falafel and hummus wrap. It arrived with a serving of lentils, which was a nice (nutricious) touch. While well presented, the falafel was a tad dry and not draped in enough hummus to my greedy mind. The prices seemed reasonable, though, especially for such an expensive area. My wrap was under £4 and their lunch special is £6.50 for a hot meal, side and salad. I liked the laid-back jazzy soundtrack, too. Check it out.

Not far away from Gloucester Road station this is a nice café, a bit pricey but really nice place to go and have brunch. As a tourist you do not know where to go so the hotel staff recommended it and we are glad we came here. We had brunch and it was simply delicious. The café has a bit of Mediterranean atmosphere. Definitely recommend coming here if you are in the neighbourhood!

Took extremely long (more than 30 mins) to have the breakfirst ready. The food seems to be ok but two of us had stomach ache after that.

Small portions, OKish food, high prices, poor service (slow, forgotten orders). Just look elsewhere ..

Moments later a gentleman came out and said he made space for us. We were thankful for the gesture so we canceled our Uber immediately. Thankfully we did because the service, food and atmosphere was great! Service is fast, but not rushing. The folks working seemed to be working together and helping each other out. The same gentlemen who came outside to offer us a table was one of the best employees I have seen. He was courteous and friendly. I could see and hear him going out of his way talking to customers and making sure everything was okay. Four our meal, our party of four ordered two steak sandwiches plates, a scrambled egged plate and a chicken salad. Each plate was delicious. My salad was so filling yet light. My husbands steak was so juicy and tender. Our course I tried my nieces egg plate too and the first I noticed was how perfectly the scrambled eggs were cooked. We finished off with some "breakfast dessert." I'll say, they are a meal in itself but very very good. Juices and coffee were good too. There is good food in London but the top notch service here is what gives it a five star!

Cute little green house seating area that we enjoyed a bright evening in the summer…read more They have brunch menu until 5pm but we are too late for it. The dinner menu doesn't have much options and it's all very common British food. We got the burger which is surprisingly expensive. Everything taste great but the beef patty is a bit lacking flavor. We also got the fish with barley risotto. The risotto is quite hard and you can literally taste every piece of barley. But my preference in risotto is rather creamy so this is not for me. The fish is nicely seared tho and they give quite a big piece. The wait staff was really nice and attentive. There's not a lot of customers on a Thursday night so I don't reckon the service would be that bad. And the food come pretty quickly.

QUESTION: Where can you go to get a five-star hotel's afternoon champagne tea for £20?…read more ANSWER: The Wyndham Grand at Chelsea Harbour. It's as simple as that, folks. Because of the Wyndham Grand's out-of-the-way Imperial Wharf location, you, too, could enjoy the epic spread of afternoon tea (with posh finger sandwiches, two homemade warm raisin scones with clotted cream and jam and a spread of individually sized sweet pastries and other treats - too much food for a single person to reasonably consume, I assure you) along with a glass of bubbly at a leisurely pace whilst taking in the view of the harbour and its (billionaires') boats. I'm not entirely sure why the afternoon tea is so cheap, but it is. Tea without champagne is a measly 15 quid. I booked a place for tea online and arrived to a quiet lounge area at 3:00pm, with Sunday brunch winding down in the adjacent restaurant. The table was set, and the polished and besuited server greeted me graciously. The low-seated couches and armchairs were large and cosy, and my companions and I sipped, munched, supped and gluttonously indulged for THREE HOURS. Service wasn't without its faults: the server was a bit nervous for whatever reason, but she was certainly friendly and gracious; my first pot of tea was loose leaf, as one would expect of afternoon tea at a five-star hotel, but my second pot had a teabag chucked in (although said tea in teabag was aromatic and delicious); water and/or tea refills weren't forthcoming, but the server would have fetched these things if asked. Despite these lapses in service (nit-picky though they are), overall, the experience and value for money were outstanding. SUMMARY: Go here if you're a local, you want an indulgent yet inexpensive afternoon tea, you don't want to combat crowds of tourists who may or may not think that the clotted cream belongs in their teacups.* _______________________________________________________ *Although I do know that by posting this review the afternoon tea at the Wyndham Grand may very well become more busy than it was on my first visit, I remain confident that it will maintain its atmosphere of exclusivity due to its less-accessible location.
