I came in to the school knowing a decent amount and so I can vouch for the fact that, the instructors know their stuff and have a ton of experience. If you're a hard charger, you can learn everything you need to pass the test and also pick up some of their years of experience in business and transactions (sales). If I weren't joining our family brokerage, I would consider trying to work with them as well. I like their vibe and business acumen. There is also a mortgage company right there and occasionally the mortgage broker would chime in and add value to the classes as well. I hope to do business with INET again soon. The 3 days a week, 4 week classes are not boring, they change up the studies by playing games, having a group study and recap, and highlights of the upcoming study chapters. The next class is normally opened with any questions you might have regarding the chapters that were previously discussed. Elliot and Carlton, strongly encourage questions, and are ever so patient and encouraging. What helps is they tell stories to help comprehend any complicated subject matters, and turns out to be so interesting. I passed the State portion the first try, but it took me two tries to pass the Uniform section. I reached out to Elliot, and he helped me with any additional questions I had, and he helped me pass the Uniform section the second time around. Apparently, I should have paid closer attention in class or I probably would have passed the first try, because the items Elliot helped me with, was covered in class as I noticed in the class handouts. I appreciate Inet being there for me even after I was completed with the classes. Anyone looking for a RE School, I highly recommend Inet Realty! Right from the start with registration, I was impressed with how helpful Maria was, and Susan was so nice to check on me months after taking the class. Bathrooms are oddly placed in the building on the floor- just odd. Many of the students are Asian or European and many just come to the school to go to language school.

It was a really hard decision to pull her out and we decided to do so because of covid. The studio doesn't have any safety precautions in place. They don't take temps, they don't wear masks, and they don't social distance the kids. I would be more comfortable if the room was well ventilated but it's not. There's also a waiting room where parents can wait and watch through a glass and parents aren't required to wear masks either. One of the last days we were there the mother sitting next to me was sniffing every 10 seconds.

"So, You Just Got a DSLR or SLR Camera...Now What?"…read more That was the title of the 3-hr beginner class I took today with Steve. I wish I had taken that class a long time ago! Back then I had a Canon EOS Rebel that used film (the thing that comes in the little black cannister that you load into the old fashioned cameras) and shame on me, I never used anything but "auto" mode to snap pics. Flash forward to today and I'm shooting with a Nikon DSLR but still in "auto" mode because I never learned what all the dials and buttons meant. Do you have a DSLR and shoot in "auto" mode too? You need to take this class! I found a great deal on Amazon Local for $65 for a 3-hr beginner class. There is also a deal for $79 for the 4-hr intermediate class if you already know the basics. If you go to the website, there are all kinds of classes you can take once you get the basics down. Steve is not only an amazing and internationally recognized and published photographer, but he is a great teacher for those of us who never took a photography class before. Today I learned so much, but the highlights for me were the following: 1. I learned what ISO, f-stop, and shutter speed means, and how I have to adjust them based on the distance, lighting, etc. 2. I learned what the letters on the dial means (P, A, M, S) so I don't have to shoot in auto mode ever again. 3. Depth of field (it's not just a filter on instagram!). 4. We got to see the inside of a real camera, which made it much easier to understand shutter speed, aperture. I felt really old when the rest of the class said they had never used a film camera. 5. Formatting the memory card Are all of those things in the instruction manual? Probably, but I hate reading instruction manuals and I don't even know where mine is. Steve explained everything clearly and gave us a chance to go and try the different settings we learned about on our own. The small class setting (there were 6 students in my class) was a great learning environment and even though we each had a different camera, by the end of class all of us were shooting in manual mode. The class was taught outside, at the Queen Kapiolani Botanical Gardens in Waikiki. After a brief introduction to photography (understanding iso, aperture and shutter speed), we were sent outside to practice. After only a few hours, I understood what a majority of the other "non-auto" settings on my dlsr did. Also, I was a lot more comfortable playing around and shooting with my camera. Steve is a great teacher and I would recommend him to all. Keep up the good work.
