A friend of mine had been going here for about 6 months and invited me to come along and try them out. Because I am timid about new things I've never done, I opted to try the Intro to Spin class first. They showed me how to properly set up my bike and I found the instructors and staff really helpful and friendly - no pretentious attitudes at all which you sometimes get at fitness facilities. Ive continued attending various classes for a few months now. They have a great range of instructors and class types so you can really find the right person/schedule/style to fit your goals and preferences. They also have a cool movie night on Fridays where you can ride and watch a movie. Its a great way to kick off the weekend. Facilities are clean, modern and the shoes and towels are a nice convenience. Location is easy to get to and I've never had a problem with evening or weekend parking. The team there are always up for giving pointers, suggestions and are very motivating. It really is a well run place!

This location is absolutely fantastic - everyone is friendly and helpful. Coaches are knowledgeable and encouraging. The facilities themselves are better than most places I've gone with large, individual showers that allow me to get ready for work before leaving the gym. The equipment is excellent - and, of course, the workouts are the OTF standard HIIT templates - which you can find many reviews of online. I began by waking in the treadmill and am now running. Elizabeth is always nice to me, and has gotten me to start going back to gyms after a 2 year hiatus to pursue calisthenics. When Shakespeare wrote of the transcendental beauty of Olivia in Twelfth Night, it was highly likely the mental image he conjured up was that of Elizabeth. I get sad when I don't get to see Elizabeth. In fact, the customer service she has provided has been second to none. If I was an employer, I would model my entire employee training structure around how well she handles customers. Frankly, I would be surprised if Elizabeth did not find herself rapidly ascending the ranks of MNP and taking on a very high level position. It would be a discredit to MNP if that did not happen. Elizabeth is absolutely 100% amazing. The GOAT. I think Michael Jordan writes Elizabeth fan mail. I could go on. But I won't. But I could. You get the picture. You BETTER get the picture. After having a wicked time at Bungee Workout for a Yelp event, my friends and I finally managed to…read morebook ourselves in for a full session last night. Man this is SO fun! Not to mention a hell of a workout! The staff is so friendly and welcoming, which is awesome. After signing a waiver, you're given a pair of neoprene long shorts to put on over your clothes for extra padding. Then you enter the room and get harnessed up and attached to a spring on the ceiling. And then the fun begins! You're taught how to take a step back to stretch the Bungee to use more kinetic energy so you can really fly! This is a total full body workout, which is surprising, but there's lots of arm work to go with the leg work. It's really not that hard and you don't need to be terribly coordinated - trust me, if I can do it then so can you! I've never smiled through an entire workout before (actually I've never smiled while working out cuz I'm not someone who works out for fun).

First impressions of the gym was that it is pretty small but clean. There are gloves for visitors to use. The class before the one I attended probably had around 20 students and it looked very cramped. The class I attended had about 10 and it was definitely more manageable with space. The instructor, Gabe, was nice and clearly had great technique. I wish there was more feedback during the class but I understand that there was ~10 students so it's impossible to give a lot of personal feedback but I wish there was just a bit more. I would like to visit one more time to check out the advanced class to see if there is more focus on technique.

Great gym on 14th Street near Kensington…read more I've been a member since the beginning and I've tried some classes and personal training sessions. The classes are good, especially pilates! I love my trainer Wendy... she's a machine! The equipment is great, and machines feel high end. Plus, from what I have seen so far, there is a minimal amount of douchy gym rats there! ;) Very nice change rooms and a couple of large showers. I guess the only down side is the size of the classroom, which limits the number of people who can take the classes. I see that as a good thing, because I prefer smaller classes, but it may get crowded.

I had no idea what i was getting into years ago when i signed up for this gym, i thought i was getting a good deal on coaching and the place looks nice, but the payments will drown you. If you ever think about canceling, good luck. They will only freeze your account, and force you to pay the full years long term + some extra hidden fees. Save yourself the stress and go to literally any other gym in Calgary, hands down this is the worst one I've ever went to throughout my whole life.

When I cancelled my membership, I was explicitly told --both in person and in writing by staff--that extra fees would be waived. Despite that clear agreement, the gym later tried to charge me anyway, hiding behind contract terms instead of honoring their own word. To make matters worse, random "fees" that I was never made aware of were added, including a so-called "facility fee." This is not just a matter of money, but of honesty and integrity. If a company promises something to its members, it should follow through. Instead, I was left feeling misled, nickel-and-dimed, and taken advantage of. There are plenty of other gyms in Calgary that value transparency and treat their members with respect. Based on my experience, GYMVMT North Hill Centre does neither.
