It took me a while to write this review because I had to recover from how sore my arms were! Holy moly it was a workout. So the picture on their Facebook page and the Daily Hive article was what drew me in, I like trying new workouts to switch up my routine and this was definitely something different. Jenn, one of the owners, greeted me when I arrived and offered me a pair of stretchy shorts to put on over my leggings, now since I had no idea what I was doing I trusted her when she said I would want them. Then we did a quick warm up in the gym area before getting strapped into the harnesses. Once you're in the harness you basically just feel like you're playing around, I felt more like a kid, then someone who was getting a serious workout in. We played around with different moves and near the end of the class started trying dives and jumps which were a lot of fun! The mat is a bit weird to workout on and I've not sure the best kind of footwear, I had nikes on but took them off during the dives as they kept falling off, socks seemed fine to workout in for the rest of the class though. Although I left super sweaty and out of breath it wasn't until the next day when I felt just how sore I was - oh my! I think this was the sorest I have been after a workout in a long time. Definitely worth checking out for something different, Jenn mentioned lots of families have been booking classes for the holidays and I can definitely see kids thinking it's a blast. read more
