I had one of those rare unusual experiences here. In short, not good experience with my stylist but…read morea very good customer service experience from the management and everyone else whom I encountered with. Long story! I may not return to my stylist however out of respect I wouldn't disclose my stylist name. I went in there for a consult with my frizzy hair and also wanted to do root touch up. I have had highlights from before. During my consultation, I was suggested by my stylist to do a hair keratin treatment. And she/he dint really talk about the root touch up, which was fine to me too. On my hair service day, when my root touch up was about to start, she/he asked me if I want to keep my highlights. I said yah, would like to keep my highlights. She/he also said that since some of my grey roots were longer more than about an inch, I'd be charged for a single process color $95 instead of root touch up $75. I gave my okay to that. Then work got started and all of my services were completed. Next day, I noticed several grey hairs still. I called up with my concern on the following business day. I was asked to come in so that my stylist can have a look. I went in there greeted my stylist asked how are you doing. She/he responded in a rude tone. Then after I addressed my concern, she/he went on raising her/his voice incrementally blaming me that I wanted to keep my highlights and that my greys were too long. I have to mention that I had been calm all throughout. For me it was not a big deal, it was just a minor error, which can be corrected easily. I dint go there to complain or scream at anyone, just wanted to see if that can be corrected. She/he made a huge deal out of it. She/he made me feel like it was my mistake that I had a complicated hair service request. Well, I'd say any professional's potential is tested on how one copes to new challenges. However, shout out to Teresa at customer service for the way she handled the situation. She was there to witness. She said that she'd let her manage know and gave me a form to fill up. Meanwhile, my stylist stormed out of the salon. Teresa was so empathetic! She dint assure me anything just said that she'd follow up with her manager. But, had been so compassionate throughout. It was a challenging situation for her too. She reacted so well at the situation, without taking anyones side. To me, unlike my stylist, she really thrived at her challenge! Following day, I got a call from their manager and she was really very nice as well! She set me up an appointment with another stylist to see what they can do. My second stylist tried to fix it as much as she could, which is all I wanted. Too much of unnecessary drama by my stylist. It'd have been solved right there, all she/he needed to do was tell me how you can help and if not explain to me what repercussions it may have to my hair. For the whole trauma that I had to go through, I'd have given a 1 star. However, for everyone else and everything else at this place I'd have to give a 4 star.

I tried this salon for the first time and had my haircut with Kacy. The haircut itself was good,…read morebut I don't feel it was quite worth the price. The website listed the haircut as $85 max, but my total ended up being $100. My interaction with the woman who checked me out was pretty minimal, but she wasn't especially friendly. It wasn't a huge issue, but I do think those little details can make a difference in the overall experience. Kacy did a good job, but I'm still not sure if I'll make this my regular salon.

This review is long overdue!…read more I am incredibly picky about my hair and finding a great hair stylist is no easy task. I have thick curly hair with lots of body and not every cut or color is for me. I've had some horrible experiences that left me in tears because, as some of you know, there are stylists out there who present themselves as knowledgeable and you learn otherwise with just one bad cut and/or color. So, once I do find an awesome stylist I will just about follow them wherever they go. I was lucky to have someone like that for 15+ years, but my scheduling conflicts and my moving prompted me to look closer to home. Finding that perfect stylist can be like finding that perfect significant other, sometimes it's kismet and sometimes, well, you have to kiss a lot of frogs before you find that prince. Likewise with a stylist. To hopefully narrow the search I turned to Yelp and the first stylist I found was Kathryn. I never could have imagined I would be so lucky from the get go. She had awesome reviews and most all had to do with her being a gifted colorist as well as stylist. This immediately caught my eye and I decided to give her a try. I knew I had the right person immediately after she colored and cut my hair and 2 1/2 years later I am still a faithful client! I walk into every appointment and give my hair over to her with confidence that she will do whatever it takes to make me and my hair look incredible. The proof is in the compliments I get. I can't say enough great things about her and I highly recommend her. If you are trying to find that person that can color and cut your hair perfectly, then look no further. The reviews I read were spot on, she is truly gifted! She is also honest about what she can do for you. The key is that you have to listen and trust her. She knows what will and will not work. The only advice I give to anyone going to her is; don't ask for the impossible! Ask Kathryn if it can work and she will tell you. Be patient about your color/cut if you have been a victim of someone else's bad work, she can work wonders and some miracles, but only for those that take her advice to heart. I am so lucky to have quickly found an awesome and gifted person so close to where I live. I don't know what I would do without her! Thank you Kathryn, for the continued awesome cuts and colors as well as lending the occasional ear. :) You are truly the best!
