Definitely prefer this laundromat over the one in Joshua Tree. The locale makes for less loitering and people that are better about getting their laundry out of machines as soon as it's ready. Pricing is decent depending on cycle length and type for washers and dryers. The Speed Queen app makes it super simple to pay and see what machines are available and how much time is left on occupied machines. My chief complaint is the detergent vending machine. The owners are definitely taking advantage there with off-market knock off detergents and softeners from Mexico that blatantly state "Not authorized for sale in the United States on them". I had forgotten my detergent and decided to just pay the $4 for a little bottle of the most watered down detergent I could have imagined. Used two capfuls for my laundry and barely saw suds in the washer. GROSS GROSS GROSS people including myself, look to clean and sanitize our clothes we wear daily and our personal garments! After what I saw going through five of these washers, never will I ever again not only not bring my clothes and my personal garments to this laundromat I will never go to any laundromat ever again. I entered the YV laundry in Yucca Valley on Highway 62 next to the jelly donuts looking forward to having all my clothes, clean and smell good for myself for my daughter, but what I noticed was two gentlemen with long hair, tattoos, and wife beater shirts.? pulling large amounts of mopheads from three or four different washing machines at the YV laundry in Yucca Valley. And I don't care if they were brand new mopheads you can only imagine what these mop heads have been doing and where they have been.! OMG!!! I did manage to do one load of laundry as I observe these gentlemen with their mopheads, throwing them into the dryers. I counted from what I could see 25 mopheads. The guy is washing them did not have any kind of uniform on so I would say they were probably mop heads from.???? beware of YV laundry and what they allow to go in and out of there washers and dryers! They say you are being monitored and I did witness cameras in the facility? But clearly the owner and our manager could care less of what goes through their washers and dryers at. Laundry was dirty, looks like one has done maintenance to the facility. There was only one big trash can container for the whole laundry room. The people that are in charge swing by when I was there just to open one of the other doors but not bother to even clean the laundry room just to at least make it look more presentable. The building doesn't look that old or falling apart but just the fact that they do maintenance I don't even want to come back and wash my clothes here. read more

I've tried to spend locally always but this place has some issues either the machines don't work after you've already put your money in or the change machine is empty The washer are dirty and full of left over soap no where to wash your hands and no paper towels My hands got a little soap on them so I was desperate trying to get a little water from the washing machine while it was filling and I selected WARM WATER but found that all three of my machines were COLD Usually I go all the way to DHS because every time I come here it's a problem I will not be coming back again !!! read more

Friday February 27. 10:30 a.m. When I go to wash my clothes, there are never enough baskets with wheels. I am disabled, and use a walker. The Gal at the smoke shop is always so friendly and NICE to me, when I go to buy Laundry Detergent, and Softener sheets. I remember that Gal use to work at the Laundry. I wish the bathroom could be open a few hour's during the day time hour's? I hope the owner will think about buying more baskets with wheels? Thank you. Catherine...... Went to do laundry today and 2 washers and 2 dryers had literal poop inside and pieces of poop on the floor. Absolutely DISGUSTING and UNACCEPTABLE, this is a BIOHAZARD for everyone. Don't even get me started on the smell, besides this incident the washers always smell disgusting I doubt they ever do a cleaning cycle in the machines. There's always weird/shady people hanging around this place. This place is just gross and the floors & tables are always dirty. Clean facilities and machines. I was able to get all of my laundry in a short amount of time. Two places to improve is the change machine. It should take at least $5 & $10 bills. The second is more wire carts. I'm disabled and those large, black carts are too deep for me to use. read more

That is the worst place ever! Machines take your money ! Never work ! And I have to feed quarters every 5 min last time for 30 min to finish drying my clothes!! They own the plaza and are kicking Murphy's bar out by tripling their rent ! That place has no laundry carts and they even charge more than they use too recently hiking up the prices! I've used this laundromat a few times. Very clean premises and machines are operational. I find that Speed Queen App quite convenient to pay for use. Since I last went, they expanded into the shop next door making it a lot more spacious with several folding tables. Unfortunately it's pretty expensive to wash here. You can do your loads much more cheaply down the highway in JT, but it will be crowded on weekends and look a lot less tidy (if that's important to you). But, high prices come with having no competition in the Yucca Valley area. The last laundromat that we had prior to this one opening was really hit and miss and pretty sad looking; they're no longer in business not surprisingly. For now, if you come here, you're paying for the convenience of not driving to JT, 29, or DHS (gas is expensive too), and you don't have to wait for an open machine. read more

Was going to do a very large amount of laundry there today as I just rolled in from L.A. to look at properties, however, this morning a really nasty, accusatory older lady with gray hair knocked on my car (it wasn't even on the property at that time) to tell me to clean up a bunch of trash someone else had left next to the building behind the store. I was very confused because the night before I had put trash in a dumpster but on the other side of the street, and thought, well maybe some crazy person took it out. So I told her, "I will go look, but I'm quite certain that's not my trash," (which I ascertained by looking at the dumpster I used - nothing I had put in there was disturbed.) This answer wasn't good enough for her, and she kept insisting it had to be mine. I went and looked, and, sure enough, nothing dumped had anything to do with me. I saw her in the laundromat and confronted her, saying I'd like an apology for bothering me in my car, but all she'd say was, "You were the only one back there," irregardless of the dozen times I had to assert that I do not put trash anywhere except into proper disposal bins. She even kept her story as she spoke to me in another store too, directly after this. A huuuuge angry, territorial alpha Karen upset about her lowly station in life as a laundry attendant is the vibe I get. Will never use or recommend this business whatsoever due to this unnecessary incident and her pompous, holier-than-thou attitude, treating me like the trash she made a very wrong, rude assumption about. This place upgraded but man they started overcharging like crazy. What happened to the dryers where you could put a quarter in and get a couple minutes I took my laundry over there today just to dry some towels and upon doing that I put $.50 in it, thinking they were the same dryers that they always were and it wasn't and I didn't know what to do so I asked the worker and she said oh all you can do is call Johnny Like no offense but I'm not gonna waste my time calling anybody over $.50 so I'll just give you my two cents on Yelp put the dryers back to the way they were it really sucks that everybody's trying to get the most out of everybody knowing that we barely make $.50 an hour. Washing is incredibly overpriced. A large load washer starts around $7.50 per load at a base price and increases dramatically with extra features. App they use only allows you to load funds in $10 increments so now the app has about 8 extra dollars of my money even though I may not ever use it again. So disappointing and such a terrible value. read more

All dryers and most washers required an app for payment. Verizon coverage in Yucca Valley is terrible so the app took a very long time to download (I gave up). Even if the app had downloaded the coverage inside the building was worse and it would have unlikely that I could have operated the equipment with the unique QR codes. My husband has T Mobile and also had the same feedback. read more

First time here today because they other place was packed. This place did ok as far as being clean. Not sparkling but good enough. The issue I have is that it is small and cramped. Bad layout with only one folding table. Also very expensive with add on's for everything like +.25 for warm water, +.50 for hot. Never saw that before. Vending machine completely was empty. I will not be in a hurry to return. read more
