I understand there is night time entertainment with their DJ on weekends, however, this location is just like any other shisha lounge in the region and there is nothing special about it. The heads on the hookahs are always crooked, never fit properly/are lightly packed, they don't know how to properly serve coconut coals (they constantly change them with brand new ones which causes the shisha to burn), the water in the hookahs are always dirty and I've inhaled random pieces of coal a few times. If you're wondering why I never asked for a new hookah or voiced my concerns...I've witnessed other people complain and they've made people feel like it's THEIR fault. I didn't want to go through that too. The customer service is very poor. I personally have felt uncomfortable as a female in this environment. One night there weren't too many people in the lounge and my friend and I were the only females. A group of guys came in and the owner had this idea to try and push my friend and I to get up and dance with them. I repeatedly told him that I would absolutely not get up and dance. My friend only got up to dance after 10 minutes of being HARASSED so they would leave us alone. After this happened, the owner started to be more hospitable towards my friend and would ignore me when anytime I went to The Spot with her after that. This is absolutely unacceptable and makes me wonder how he treats other women in his life. I'm a paying customer! In addition to the above experience, every time I've gone to The Spot I find myself playing musical chairs because seats are apparently "reserved" when they definitely ARE NOT RESERVED. They pick which groups of people they want to go in the front area of the lounge. When I go into a shisha lounge I spend a couple hours at a time which is enough to be able to understand what's going on. I appreciate the inclusivity with their holiday decorating as well as the DJ and great music, however, this doesn't overshadow the poor customer service and lack of cleanliness. A server once told me and a friend that the kitchen is absolutely disgusting which is a concern as I have left sick after eating there but didn't think anything of it at the time. I'm sick of being treated like crap and I'm sick on the crap quality of EVERYTHING. I'm never going back.

They do charge for extra coal, the shisha comes well prepared and ready to be smoked. It was a smooth, flavourful & enjoyable experience. Now one thing I have to note, their menus is fixed, you cannot convince them to make any altercation to any item on the list nor request items (drinks) which aren't on the menu. That leads me to my next point, you cannot order sides unless you order a main. I personally don't understand why. One may not necessarily want to have a full meal late into the night but nonetheless they would not budge. The weekends are busy, reservation's recommended and they follow a strict dress code. I do believe they are setting a precedent and catering to a demographic as more of an upscale Lounge.
