I completely understand that contracts exist, but good businesses know how to handle honest mistakes with grace, especially when the actual date is a year away, not a peak Saturday, and there's plenty of time to rebook (and they likely will). Even a partial credit toward in-salon services would have shown goodwill. Instead, they offered no recommendations, no flexibility, and no attempt to turn an unfortunate situation into something workable. Mistakes happen, but how a business responds to them shows their true character. Unfortunately, this salon made it very clear they value short-term policies over long-term customer relationships. I will not be recommending them to friends, and I'd encourage others to think twice before trusting them with something as important as a wedding.
