I wasn't going to leave a bad review until today. Many weeks ago I went in for my second massage with somebody in there, it wasn't Taylor. The second Massage did put me in the hospital. It was from the massage (stretching R leg) and more. She claimed to be a specialist with people that have hip injuries , as I am waiting for a hip replacement. I was in terrible pain, and I was tearing off and on throughout it, I was telling her I had pain, and she kept saying it will feel better after don't worry. Repeatedly trying to tell me that I was breathing wrong, and to breathe like childbirth, breathe out. I explained all my injuries, and then she lied to me in my face today, first time I've been back. Totally unprofessional, never had this experience at any ski resort in my life. I go to France, Switzerland, and I'm from Colorado. This is why I will never live in Killington or near it ever again. Bad service, the first time I was ever called a liar to my face. I am Catholic, and I always treat people with love, but here it was far different than that. I'll be letting all my friends know, they come in from Colorado, and they are Olympians, even all the way from Wyoming and CDA Idaho. The reason I moved here is there is a pro snowboarder that lives in Shelburne and that is the reason I moved to the State. I thought this would be a wonderful place. The manager never called me back after my injury by the employee, and she was conveniently unavailable again today. read more

The facility is very nice. I enjoyed the pool area. The hot tub wasn't working properly and was only warm. The sauna was nice but the steam room was very small and the tiles they have on the wall make it look like bare cinder block walls so that was a little off putting. The massage was only ok. The massage therapist was way too chatty. I'm an extrovert and will normally talk for days but I wanted a relaxed atmosphere. She was very nice but the experience wasn't very relaxing. Also, I booked deep tissue and although I asked for more pressure, it still wasn't enough for me. Not sure if I'll be back in these parts but if I am, I'll look elsewhere. read more

We kicked off girls weekend with the spa. They accommodated the 3 of us receiving treatments at the same time which gets the first star. Each of us had a phenomenal experience with our skin therapists which is unheard of. I enjoyed a Chinese Herbal Exfoliation and a Custom Facial with Scalp, Hands & Feet Add-on. Charlene's hands were AMAZING! Some people like to talk during services, I do not. Charlene picked up on that right away and just let her hands do the talking. It was truly magical. I was at the spa Saturday morning for a deep tissue massage. I mentioned to the massage therapist that my legs were an area of focus as I exercise 5-6 days per week and they get worn out. I get massages about once per month and was on a trip to Killington with some friends, so we thought this would be a good opportunity for a spa day together. The front desk staff was very nice, but I had several issues with my massage. First off my masseuse talked to me throughout my massage, so it was hard to relax. Despite it being deep tissue the pressure was not firm, except at one point where the massage therapist was working on my left leg and stated, "You'll feel a scraping sensation." I was a little concerned by this but I tried to relax though that part of the massage was painful. Later I felt that spot throbbing and when I looked had a large, raised bruise that still is painful now (3 days later). I attached a photo below. I emailed the spa the next day with a complaint and never received a response. I normally do not send complaints or write on Yelp unless my experience is very positive or really terrible. I still tipped the therapist, Deidre, but needless to say I will not be coming back to this spa. read more

This place is not great. The facilities are old/dated, the mirrors had stains, the pool was falling apart. We went to the spa and the rooms let a lot of noise through. My masseuse spoke loudly at me for a good portion of the treatment. I didn't know how to tell her to just keep her voice down, seems like an obvious thing to do. I was there with a group of 4 girls, plan to get 2 massages at a time, back to back. Part of the party was running late and the front desk person was nice, but when a couple of the girls tried to swap who went first, and explained we were all in a group together, the masseuse walked her to the front desk and said "can you explain to her when her appointment is." Rude. They do have signs saying that there are renovations coming in May. Maybe it'll get better. I wouldn't go back read more

Horrible experience. We arrived about an hour early because we wanted to use the amenities. When we told the receptionist what time our massages were she said "wow you're early, maybe too early" excuse me? Secondly, the receptionist was very abrasive. After our massages the women I were with were sitting on the bench in the locker room waiting for us to change, the receptionist was bringing a few new clients into the room and looked at my friend sitting and said "you can wait in the waiting room we need this space for the new groups" excuse me? We just paid for a relaxing day and are getting passive aggressive comments about sitting on a bench... The massage chatted a ton during my massage which I wasn't even able to relax for because of it. When we checked out it was a 20 minute fiasco because the machines were down. This experience was the opposite of relaxing, left frustrated and felt like I wasted $150z I will never recommend or return. read more

The best way to end a short ski trip is with a few hours at the Spa. We booked a couples massage and were satisfied. the rooms were a little cold for my wive's taste, but I didn't even notice. they also have a indoor pool, with two 25m lap lanes, and a hot tub underneath a trickling fountain wall. It was very relaxing. I stayed after my massage and read a book by the pool for an hour while my wife got a facial treatment. The spa is about a quarter of mile off the main road behind a condo area. The only awkward part was that condo guests also use the facilities and it is not uncommon to run into people changing into ski gear in the dressing rooms. It takes away from some of the experiences privacy. It is still probably the best spa in the area from what everyone else says. read more

I went this past Saturday with my boyfriend for a couples massage. We were lucky that it was a slow weekend - we basically had the whole place to ourselves which was awesome! Since the website does not post pictures of the facilities, it was difficult to know what to expect in terms of quality. I agree with everyone who has posted saying that the facilities (locker room, welcome area, tiling/carpets throughout) are outdated. They could definitely use a makeover. We enjoyed the steam room, sauna and pool. The hot tub only had jets working on one side of it and the "fountain" / waterfall was broken. The ladies locker room was adequate but nothing special - it almost felt more like the YMCA. The robes are okay but the slippers were cloth material, stained & gross. The massage room itself was spacious, even had a nice sitting area. But there was a LOUD ticking clock right by my head during the massage that made it difficult to relax. I would recommend that they switch to digital clocks. I had Ellen and she was great for a regular Swedish massage. My boyfriend had Erin for a deep tissue massage which he said was really relaxing and she was able to get all his knots. For the price of the massage ($230 for 50 min couples massage), I expected more from the facilities. I've been to many other spas (granted, not in this area) that are much nicer and more updated. Also, I know most spas have you sign a waiver of sorts before undergoing any treatments....this place did not have us sign anything. Besides having the massage I was able to use the facility's as well, the pool is a beautiful 75foot indoor pool with a huge jacuzzi. Perfect for my after skiing pains. Amazing facility. So relaxing and tranquil. I got a Swedish massage and it was absolutely fantastic; I almost fell asleep! There's a fantastic sitting area in the treatment area where you can relax and enjoy complimentary tea. Also, the pool and hot tub area is stunning and so enjoyable. The staff is excellent, you can order food to the spa and really make use of your day pass like we did. A side note - the robes are SO soft. One of the best deep tissue massages I've ever had, and I've had many. Candy was my massage therapist. She's amazing! I hurt my back a month ago, but had plans to visit friends and go skiing in Killington. My PT said no skiing, but with 18+ inches of snow how could I not! I told Candy that I had thrown out my lower back and she knew exactly what to do and what not to do. She worked around my lower back and it feels great. The spa was nice too. It's nothing spectacular, but the eucalyptus steam room was wonderful and also the hot tub! I definitely will be back next time I'm in Killington. read more

I had a pedicure with Jen, and it couldn't have been a better experience. She was very calm and peaceful during the entire process; she clearly knows what she is doing, and she gave me an awesome lower leg and foot massage. It was the most relaxing pedicure I have ever had. The private room we were in was clean and dimly lit, and the instrumental (think: Enya) music playing in the background was a nice touch. I hear what other reviewers are saying about the locker room needing some updating, but I honestly feel like it is more than adequate for securing your stuff, changing and showering. The best part is that, if you get any spa service, you get to use the pool, sauna, eucalyptus steam room and hot tub. Although it was a rainy day when I went, it looked like they had a nice patio outside as well. read more

I booked an 80 minute deep tissue massage at the Spa at the Woods this past weekend. Everything started out fine, the facilities looked a little outdated, but that's ok, I'm not terribly picky. I was led to the changing room, which had a funky smell, was provided a robe and towel which were far from luxurious and waited for the massage in the lounge area which again was outdated, but still ok. The massage therapist Ellen was quite nice and did a very good job with the massage but I made the mistake of opening my eyes while she was working on my back. The floor was disgustingly filthy, the carpet stained, the tiles dirty. Still I was determined to put that out of my mind and enjoy the massage. Afterwards, I thanked Ellen and went back to the changing room. I looked at my phone and I had only been in there for about 55 minutes. This is when things went from a three star rating to a one. I went out to the reception desk and she said that the clocks were wrong and I missed out on 10 minutes so she discounted me $10's off the normally $175 price tag. I made the mistake of not looking at rates ahead of time and as you know after a good massage you are a bit delirious, so I paid and went on my way. The more I think about it the more frustrated I become, to the point where I almost felt like it was a scam. The $175 rate is just over the top expensive for the quality of the spa to begin with, and I'm sorry but 10 minutes of a $175 massage does not equal $10, and it was more like 25 minutes and not 10. read more

I am not one to write reviews but my experience was that bad I just had to. Being a single mother of two small children, spending $130 for a 50 minute massage was a decision I did not make lightly, but in the spirit of valentines day and my weekend away with my sister at her in-laws cabin, I decided to treat myself. I booked a deep-tissue with Mike. I don't need to speak of the atmosphere since that has already been noted in other reviews however, the room I was taken to was a small, what felt like closet off of the waiting room. It smelled and was no means relaxing. Mike also was not dressed "professionally" wearing a stretched out black t and green windbreaker type pants. Every time he walked I could hear, swish, swish...it was very annoying. Typically in most spas you will get nice calm music. I was lucky enough to get jazz and blues, which I do enjoy, when I out having BBQ. Lastly, he used what smelled like some off the shelf lotion. I have never has a massage where oil was not used. It was fine, no big deal, but I smelled cheap, and he barely used any. When he rubbed my feet and hands it was like sandpaper. Maybe this is just a Vermont thing, but he also did not massage my face, jaw or scalp even though that was a trigger point, which he asked what they were at the beginning of my massage. Lastly, my sister has an hour hot stone, which she was less than thrilled with, She was taken in on time, I started about 5 minutes past my scheduled time. Mike ended my session at 10:49. My sister did not make her way to the changing room until 10:57. Just saying. After this experience I asked some of the locals and they recommended 5 elements or the salt cave both in Rutland, Happy relaxing! read more
