Maybe it was my recent diagnosis of Type 2 Diabtes and associated feet now and leg circulation issues that led me to Tai Chi Accupuncture & Welness Center, but it was the dialogue with Kuan that keeps me coming (along with my body feeling more vital). While Kuan is a man of few words, the ones he does speak resonates so deep that it has enhanced my experience. I have done Tai Chi and meditation for years, and his knowledge base of techniques and focused thinking is directly aligned with my own. This experience has been much more than just placing a bunch of needles in the appropriate zones... I feel more spiritually alive than I have in years, and this enhanced awareness has helped me focus on my daily activities with reduced anxiety and stress. Please give Kuan and his wonderful office a try if you have ailments of any kind, whether they be mental or physical. My insurance (Harvard Pilgrim) covers up to 12 visits per year at $20 per visit. My wife comes with me every week and gets a healing message. We feel fortunate that we have found such an oasis in the middle of the suburbs. Thank you, my friend.

Storefront is very deceiving, when you walk in there is an instant sense and feeling of calm. We were greeted warmly at the desk and asked to sit down. Using some wonderful scented oil's it immediately put me at ease, and she went right to work on the problem areas. I didn't even notice to our flyby it was that fast and that wonderful. I am having pain in my shoulder, and she came up with some ideas and some massage to really make it feel much better. Hats off. Would definitely go back even without a coupon and can't wait until my next massage!

However, with my aches and pains she finally coached me to begin seeking out the ultimate practitioner of the art of chiropractic care. I must admit I have seen so many chiropractic Doctors in my long search. My wife actually worked for a chiropractor in Texas after a long career in the medical insurance field for several hospitals and skilled nursing facilities. As I followed my wife on our extensive moves across the country we have searched out in every place the most caring and professional Dr of Chiropractic Techniques. I always felt that the chiropractors I met leant themselves to a client mill and I wasn't satisfied with my selection until I came to Dr Shelly King. I am happy to report that this concerned, caring (might I say loving), devoted, strait shooting (yes, I'm from Texas) and yes, hilarious at times individual is by far the best Chiropractic Specialist I have ever had the pleasure to meet. I am constantly amazed and satisfied with her level of knowledge and the ability to bring it to the table! She has helped me tremendously with my special needs and unbelievable ability to find myself in so many accidental situations. I love how she just examines the problem or accident and knows just exactly what to do to correct whatever ailment I may throw at her. If there were 10 stars, she would certainly deserve them! **********

I reluctantly reached out to Concord Center Acupuncture in January to see how successful they had…read morebeen with depression and anxiety clients in the past. I was in a horrible deep dark depression for the past 5 months solid and was desperate. The gentleman that answered was the most wonderful man named Bhaird. To my surprise and delight, Bhaird stated that "Depression and anxiety are some of my favorite things to treat!". No professional had spoke with me enthusiastically about getting better up to that point. Rather, I was told by a psychologist a days earlier that I had "a really really LONG way to go before I would get better"!! Not Bhaird. He couldn't guarantee how quickly the treatments would work, but he knew if I listened to his suggestions, gave a few a try, and scheduled the appropriate number of sessions that I would in fact find relief. I had been having thoughts of ending my life. So I figured, "What did I have to lose?" I gave it a shot. I'm so thankful I did. Prior to having these treatments, I had completely lost control of myself. I was so nervous and depressed about EVERYTHING I didn't even want to leave my bed! I would fight through the week (and it was a real struggle), but spend all evenings and weekends in my bed, crying, desperate for life again. This went on for FIVE months straight. Three of those months I cried every single day multiple times a day. I'm not sure what caused it, but I truly feared that I would NEVER again feel like myself. Too much time had passed being in that strange state. Sometime in late November I stopped working out entirely (something I have done my entire life), started eating very poorly if at all, stopped seeing or even talking to most of my friends, and just had lost the essence of my entire being! After about five weeks of roughly 2 sessions per week, I had my very first "normal" day! I decided I would keep track of how many days I felt good in a row. Since that very day, I have yet to have one more "dark" or anxious day. In fact, today I am currently at day 77!!!! Not only do I feel "normal", I feel amazing!!! Furthermore, I'm not sure if this is a direct result of acupuncture itself or just a better attitude and lease on life after going to acupuncture, but I also started taking off at work and feeling extremely passionate about what I do. (Mind you that I wanted to quit my job when I first came to the center because "I was miserable there and I couldn't do it anymore") Between the acupuncture itself and the many tools and resources that Bhaird equipped me with to combat my negative self talk and irrational fears, I feel as though my mind body and soul have been restored once again to whole. It took time. I didn't notice much of anything immediately after a session which was always strange to me, but subtly the next day would be different. And slowly but surely by utilizing the tools I had been given on a daily basis, I jumped the hurdle. I got my fitness and health back in order, I started seeing my friends again, met new and wonder people and am currently having the time of my life! I highly recommend this service to anyone with any sort of ailment and especially those going though debilitating depression and or anxiety. Thank you Concord Center for offering your amazing service and helping me get my life back! You are the absolute BEST!

It's true. He is the most gentle man I have ever met in my life. I began seeing him about 6 months after my mother began treatment with him. She had been experiencing chronic neck and lower back tension, in addition to decades worth of migraines under her belt and a duel against carpel tunnel. I have known Mr. Pappas for about 5, maybe 6 years. I began treatment while in highschool. I had always complained of my back aching from my sports endeavors, as well as neck tension. Both my mother and sister go to him, as well as about 90% of my mother's coworkers. His professional, calming, sterile space (complete with a lobby, his office, and apprx. 4 rooms in which he does the sessions) lies under his own home. He is a family man; currently, his brother helps him keep the books. Mr. Pappas has one piece of artwork in particular, drawn and given to him by his son Walter, with the heading "My Dad". It's endearing. He does a variety of body treatments (spellings may be off) - moxa, gua sha, massage utilizing Tiger Balm and Sombra Cream and of course needle work. His scheduling is flexible, and he is extremely accommodating. He NEVER pushes his herbal remedies on you to buy, although he has plenty to offer if you are looking for a suggestion. He is sensitive to the issue of money, and never presses about it. Extreme professionalism matched with a genuine respect and concern for patients, Mr. Pappas is top-shelf. I respect this man more than most people I have ever met. I will forever be comparing acupuncturists to him, and, since I have moved to New York, I regret that I will never find one who measures up.
