The room is very comfortable, and the massage table *extremely* comfortable--almost like sinking into a down bed! I liked (Lisa) the masseuse immediately, and she did a great job of setting the mood and the expectations for the massage. At the beginning there were some general forms and questions which we talked through to give her an idea of my needs. After that, Lisa was very frank about her massage style (which is more massage for relaxation than therapy). She even referred me to a therapeutic massage practice where I could get more targeted massage for joint/muscle treatment. The massage turned out to be gentler than I typically look for, but it was remarkably relaxing, and I highly recommend Lisa and Chelmsford Massage if you are looking for relaxation therapy. By the end of the massage I was glad to have come, and felt the price was quite reasonable for the treatment I received.

Beyond giving a thorough and very relaxing massage, Lisa is extremely careful about knowing her clients medically so as not to do any harm. She is extremely professional. Every movement felt intentional--no rushing, no discomfort, just steady, focused care. What sets Red Lotus apart is the sense of legitimacy and safety. They asked for my full name when booking, confirmed via text, and treated me with total respect throughout the entire process. You won't get any of the vague, uncomfortable energy you might've felt at less reputable places. This is the real deal--professional massage therapy with soul. At $156 for 90 minutes, it's not only worth every penny, it's a better value than many of the places that charge more and give you less. If you're looking for true, grounded, respectful care, book with Donna. You'll walk out lighter, clearer, and feeling like your body actually belongs to you again.

Three people came out (of which the space is very small and dark), and they spoke amongst each other to see who would take who and for which service (head hydromassage and body massage - 60 minutes each). I went into my room for a body massage. Bed not warm, and just a cheap sheet on. The message was very VERY rough. messaged over towels (not warmed). I thought I would be getting a rub burn. THEN, later, the oil comes out, and she wore gloves, which were ... bunched-up on her hands, so I felt that. I then turned over, and she basically threw a towel over my eyes (not warm, just a towel!). VERY painful, even when I stated it was too hard, many times. Also, the movements were very VERY fast, and not whole - relaxing. There are a couple of other things that made me very uncomfortable, but I will leave it at that. I almost just stopped the appointment a few times. I prob should have. The hydromassage was .... okay. 60 minutes is WAY too long for that. NOT going back.

I've had many massages from many massage therapists over decades. And I just had one of the best…read moreones at this place! I was very impressed and pleased with the experience. I discovered this place a few months ago. It seems that two Mandarin-speaking ladies practice here. They know enough broken English to get by with English speakers like myself. They'll also use a translation app on their phones if need be. But I don't mind. I don't go for massages to chat. I just want a great massage and these ladies deliver on that! My fiancée had a massage from each of the ladies here. She likes deep massages to release tension in her upper back and these ladies both did a great job. I went in for a deep tissue massage on my stiff, aching back, particularly my upper back and neck. In just 60 minutes the practitioner named Sheshe (spelling?) worked a great deal of the tension out. I felt much better. She's petite, friendly, quiet during the massage, and seems as strong as Hercules. We both had deep tissue massages, but I imagine you can ask these practitioners to adjust the massage to your preference. There's no receptionist, but they'll come out to greet you when you come in. Their prices are currently well below average yet their skill and service are above average. Free parking in the lot. Pleasant (Chinese?) music during the massage. A nice hot towel treatment at the end. And they have convenient, long hours seven days a week. Unlike many other massage therapists, you can often just drop in on these ladies and they'll be available on the spot. Or you can call if you speak Mandarin or are OK with using simple, slow English. They charge a few dollars extra if you use a credit card, but they told us that before charging the card. I happily tip these ladies generously.

I have to say, hands down, Ellen is the best massage therapist I've ever had in the United States…read more I've lived in multiple states and moved around a bit so I know how rare it is to find an amazing massage therapist I never want to let go. I don't book sessions as frequently as I'd like but when I do book sessions I usually book a 90-minute Swedish massage. The first time I emailed the email address listed on the website Ellen responded via text pretty soon afterwards. Since then, I communicate with her via text to schedule appointments and she can usually fit me in her schedule within a couple of days. The place is a set of tiny rooms in a building of businesses but works. Ellen has magic hands. She is able to suss out my problem areas during the sessions and let's me know even when I'm feeling it but haven't quite figured out the issues yet. This was my go to place for a deep tissue massage for years. It is convenient and reasonably…read morepriced. You can usually get an appointment right away However, it is now all new people with a new owner. I don't think I will ever be back. I had the worst experience with a woman named Ceecee. It was clear to me in the first 2 minutes she had zero training as a massage therapist. From the first touch she jerked my neck around rubbing at a speed of 100 miles an hour. She jumped around from body part to body part with no rhyme or reason. I had to tell her to use lotion because she was rubbing me so hard my skin was burning. The experience was so bizarre and excruciatingly painful. I'm mad at myself that I didn't walk out in the first 5 minutes. I'm mad that I paid for it and also gave her a tip. It was almost like she was purposely trying to hurt me. I told her at least 20 times to go lighter, that she was hurting me, not to go so hard, to "please stop." I even grabbed her elbow and hand multiple times to stop her from hurting me. She just made an audible sigh. She spoke no English, like all of the people there. That would have been fine if she knew the words for body parts or knew what "too hard" or "lighter" meant. She was drilling her elbow into my butt so hard I covered that area with my hand and said "no more. Skip this area. No." She moved on to another part then came right back to it with her elbows. I was clearly wincing with pain squirming on the table and she continued laughing as she drilled her elbows into my back, calves and butt. She kept saying "ok? Ok?" I continued to say "no! You as hurting me. I am going to be all bruised" but she didn't let up and continued with this weird laugh. She also twisted my arm behind my back during a strecth so hard I thought my shoulder could pop out. I stopped the massage about 10 minutes early. I finally sat up and said "I'm done." Every move was aggressive and over the top. Many times she aggressively grabbed my underwear and yanked them down so hard I thought she was going to rip them. I thought I was on some hidden camera show it was so bad. She then took the sheet and arbitrarily threw it on the floor after she told me to turn onto my back. I was laying there naked and she laughed again. She repeated put me in positions so my boob would come out. I started to feel like she was trying to see them. I am not a wimp by any means. I have had over 50 massages in my life and usually like a ton of pressure but this is something I can barely begin to describe. I have visible bruises on my shins, arm, and butt. I am sore all over. It was hands down the worst massage I've ever had in my life. I hesitated to post because I used to love this place but this woman is going to really hurt someone. They need to vet their massage therapists better and the town needs to make sure they are all properly qualified. They also need to learn some English. I know that is not politically correct but if they can't understand when you tell them to stop, that the pressure is too hard, to focus on an area or stay away from another area there is no point and it could actually be dangerous.
