Title: Bait-and-switch pricing. I should have trusted my instincts when Oasis Spa called to reschedule my original 1pm appointment to 10am -- and then still arrived late. That set the tone for the rest of the experience. I signed up for their $59 facial special. As soon as I sat down, the worker immediately started upselling me on extra options. The way it was explained was confusing, and I agreed to extractions and another add-on, thinking they were part of the original facial. After a very quick facial, I went to pay and the total had jumped from $59 to $124. When I asked why, I was told it was because of the add-ons. Then I received a text receipt showing $137 instead -- which I'm assuming included a tip I never agreed to. I didn't argue in the moment, but I definitely learned a lesson. Between the rescheduling, lateness, confusing upsell tactics, and surprise charges, I would not recommend Oasis Spa in Saugus. Proceed with caution. read more

Love this spa, I always have had Shannon , Excellent. I get my massage every 6/8 weeks. Every since I've been going here ( about 1 1/2 years) I have cut back on my chiropractor. Shannon will work on my muscle that deeply sore. Yes it might be a little pain at times but the out come is worth the uncomfortable feeling. The place is up stairs, small, 2 rooms, the bathroom is tiny and the most loudest fan ever. The therapist I had was nice and had an ok Swedish style massage touch. However I asked for a deep tissue and told her the areas that needed to be addressed - they were never addressed. I came to their new location in Tewksbury for a massage and mini-facial and hand/foot renew with Callie and was very impressed. I called before booking and spoke with Shelley who gave me some recommendations on services to try, which I found all on their website as well. She was very pleasant and the online booking was easy to do. The location is great and it's easy to find, and the space is very serene and clean. I was comfortable in the room. Callie was awesome. She has a great personality which put me at ease, and she made sure to check in on the pressure. She's very strong and can go pretty deep, which was exactly what I needed for all the working out that I've been doing. But I'm sure she could easily accomodate someone with less pressure as well. Check out was also quite pleasant, I paid on an iPad and got a cookie and a water on my way out. Nice! Had my second massage at Oasis this weekend with Albert. It was amazing. The first time I came with a groupon and Shelly went out of her way to schedule a appointment for both myself and my husband at the same time. This time we took advantage of a discount if booked within 35 days of last massage. This time I had a lower back/hip injury and am seeing a chiropractor for. Albert paid special attention to those areas, always making sure I was OK with the intense pressure. You can tell he knows the body and muscles and how they work together. My husband had Callie one time and said it was great, sorry I forgot who he had this weekend, but was very happy. Callie was awesome and such a sweetheart! She attended to my needs and applied the right DEEP pressure I needed ! I will definatley be back, especially since they have an awesome special going on in the summer! Th only reason I am not giving 5 stars and am kind of annoyed at is that I called and cancelled my appointment yesterday around 10 or 11 AM. Since I called 3 times and was unable to reach someone I left a voicemail. This morning I got an email stating I had missed my appt....... 1. I have never spoke with someone through their phone, it ALWAYS goes to voicemail from my experience so my only option was to leave a voicemail. 2. At least if your not going to pick the phone up, listen to your voicemails.... I am a hair stylist so am aware time is money...so Callie lost out on an appt because you decided to not pass along a message. 3. After I received this email, I immediately try calling the buisness # again, surprise, no answer, literally tried 3 times. Finally I looked at my cell phone and listen to a voicemail from Callie so immediately call her phone back, and explained. She was completely understanding, and I assured her I would be back just had to much to do today which is why I had cancelled. Oasis does an excellent job of advertising specials. They are convenient and possible for me to fit in my schedule. Shelley, the owner, will work with you if there's a scheduling problem. The therapist that I currently visit when possible is Sheena. She is tentative and kind, and she listens to what my needs are and tailors the visit to suit how I feel at the time. My husband bought me a gift certificate for Oasis Day Spa as a Christmas present, and I finally found time to use it this past Sunday. The online scheduling app was super easy to use, and within minutes I had an appointment set up with Callie for a 90 minute Swedish massage. The spa itself is small, but very clean and comfortable. Callie was there to greet me, and I was very excited to get started. Callie was wonderful from start to finish, very professional, and her hands were magical. I am a new mother, so I had quite a bit of tension on my shoulders. She definitely worked those out, and made me feel completely relaxed. I was sad when the session was over! Callie didn't rush me at all, and let me take my time getting dressed. When I came out of the room, she had a bottle of water waiting for me, how thoughtful! I originally met the Oasis Day Spa owner and staff back when they were in Lowell. After many years away from having regular massages, I tracked them down to their location in Tewksbury. They continue to deliver excellent massages, both when I have specific body issues and just when I need to relax. They offer a wide range of different styles of massage based on their therapists' specific talents, and their studio is large enough to not feel cramped while still feeling cozy for a massage. I made a reservation with Callie far ahead of time for my birthday at 3 PM. Several days before the massage date she texted me and announced that she would not be able to accommodate me at that time as she had family event. She then offered to take me at 8 AM (I am taking my day off on my birthday and want to sleep in, not to rush to a spa!), or suggested a 6:45 PM appointment with someone else (at that time my husband is taking me out to dinner, thank you!) She also suggested either late Thursday or early Saturday. But I want to treat myself on my birthday, not before or after! Needless to say, she knew about her family event ahead of time, could have contacted me and I would have made a reservation with another therapist. I suffer from flare ups from an IT band injury and need some serious deep tissue work for it. Callie really dug in there and didn't hold back. I originally came in for Callie's sampler and then decided to get a swedish massage, facial, and scalp massage. My upper back had been hurting for the longest time and she worked out my numerous knots in my back. I told Callie this was my first time getting massage and she made sure I felt comfortable. Thoroughly enjoyed my visit at the new Tewksbury location. The room was perfect, the warmth of the bed was perfect, noise levels were pretty much non-existent (besides the occasional a/c going on). No outside noise to content with as I have experienced with other salons. The prices are incredible as well! I usually get at least 2 massages a month to help with my stress. I love Oasis. I mostly see Albert, who is amazing, but I have seen three practitioners and they are all great. The prices are incredibly affordable and they offer different deals and discounts depending on how often and when you go. I love the periodic specials and spa upgrades to add a little extra pampering to the massage. I also love that I can book online. Albert is amazing at stretching me out and giving a great mix of firm and soft pressure so that I get loose and relaxed every time. He follows my lead on talking. If I feel like talking we do, if not, I just relax while he works his magic. He also tailors every massage to what I am feeling and wanting at the moment, so it never feels exactly the same, unless I want it to! And they give you a full size bottle of water when you leave, which is awesome since I'm always thirsty after a massage. You really can't get a better treatment for this price anywhere. I booked my appointment online. It was easy and someone contacted me promptly to confirm. I chose the weight loss body wrap. I've never had one before so I had nothing to compare it to. I gave this place 5 stars for several reasons. My therapist was Shelley. Sooo nice! We chatted like we were old friends. The spa is very clean and pleasant. Shelley was very attentive; always checking to see that I was comfortable or if I needed anything, yet giving me time to just relax and enjoy the experience and the soft music playing in the background. I was there for two hours(really?) . The time flew by. At the end of my treatment I had lost several inches. I have been able to maintain that by closely following the recommended detox diet that Shelley detailed for me. The wrap was thoroughly enjoyable, very relaxing and includes a bonus foot massage. Had great prices and a friendly staff. I got a sample package which was great and a little bit of everything. I scheduled online which I loved the convenience of and they even sent me a text and emailed conformation and reminder. My massage therapist was Sheena. She was kind, informative, and professional. I actually liked the fact it was a smaller day spa. It was more quaint and personal. I only had to ask once for lighter pressure and she took that in regard the rest of the treatments. The only suggestion I might have is to get some other scents for aroma therapy. There were only 3 scents (all fruit) and to me were not very spa like. When I think spa scents I think lavender, mints, sandalwood, etc. The lemon gave me a headache half way through treatment which made me nauseous. So I'm going off of a few good times and a few bad times with Oasis. First few times I had gone there I found that the massage therapists were great, very friendly and kept checking to make sure the pressure was okay. (Swedish massage and hot stone massages ). The part that rubs me the wrong way is that I had set a time for a massage after calling in with Shelly and booking an appointment. I was quite surprised when I arrived at Oasis and the door was locked. After calling Shelly, she had stated that I had canceled my appointment via email, however that is not the case. I never received any email about my appointment and she stated that she couldn't perform the massage that day. After this she stated she would look into this and call me back to setup a new time, etc. I heard nothing back from her. I decided 2 months later to try again. I setup the appointment online, got the email (did not cancel it), but was called a day before my appointment to be told that the massage therapist had plans that day (new years) and was supposed to be blocked out from the schedule online. She then told me to re-schedule my appoint for a time later that week. Needless to say I walked away from these experiences with a sour taste of oasis day spa. This spa is top-notch. I visited the Tewksbury location for the first time yesterday and was very impressed. First, the spa itself is beautiful. Everything from the reception area to the spa rooms are tastefully decorated in soothing colors. I felt like I was walking into someone's home instead of a business. My massage and foot treatment were with Callie and she was fantastic. She talked to me before my massage and really listened when I told her my areas of concern. I've had massages at other spas where the therapist asks where my trouble spots were and then they barely addressed them. Callie, however, made sure to address my trouble spots as well as other areas I didn't even realize were tense. She was very friendly and professional from the time I walked in the door.
