We arrived at Swamp Daddy's and never have I ever seen so many gluten free menu choices! Never have I ever seen so many CAJUN gluten free menu choices in my life, the rue usually takes them off the list!! We were greeted with a smile and a welcome by a lovely young lady that was genuinely happy to see us! She offered us any open spot in the place! We chose the bar because the seats looked so comfy! They're a bit low but they're definitely comfy! We each got a nice cold beverage, they have beer, seltzer and wine and placed our order. We got the Cajun Fries for appetizer and they came out hot and fresh with all the crispy goodness we wanted. Would have liked some kind of Cajun aioli to go with them rather than the bottled ranch but the fries alone were good. We each got the Blackened Shrimp and it was divine! There were plenty of shrimp and the pile of jambalaya seemed endless!! The flavor was amazing and the sauce was to die for! I'll definitely be back before we head back out on the road, I'd like to try a little more of the menu, it was all solid choices!

Next the prices were completely outrageous for what you get and there were up charges that we were not informed about before hand. Then some of things I was up charged for they didn't end up giving us because they spilled something. No offer to give us a discount after I had already complained about the up charges. Last the food was ok but definitely not worth what I paid and again didn't even get a decent amount. Somethings had almost no flavor and others were so salty we couldn't eat them. I will not be going back there unfortunately.

We were able to make changes to our planned menu with ease and communicating with Chef Jeni was a breeze. The night of our event, she arrived early to set up the food and make sure we were comfortable with everything. The best part was the clean up. We just had to leave the dishes, containers, and utensils in the bins she provided and they picked them up. Actually the best part was the feedback we received from our guests. They raved about the food and asked repeatedly who the caterer was.

Wings are a good size and staff have always been helpful and friendly. Sadly, this location was the exception. We have a family of 5 and we always just get water from the soda machine. Usually they provide water cups. This one does not. I don't mind paying even up to $2 to help cover the cost of a cup but this location does not provide that option. You can either pay full price as you do for soda or buy a bottle of water. They even checked with the manager as the employee was newer and the manager confirmed that water from the machine is the same price as soda or you can buy a bottle of water. Maybe this is normal for the area? We were also disappointed in the size of the wings. These were TINY in comparison to what we're used to. My 10yo son even noticed. Maybe the supplier for this area just isn't great? We'll try Wingstop (a family favorite!) again, just not here.
