Their egg rolls not so much. I've enjoyed all the entrees I've tried. My favorite is beef and eggplant w garlic sauce partly because it's hard to find eggplant in other local Chinese restaurants. The pork w mixed veggies, moo shu pork, Kung pao chicken are all good choices. Their soups are pretty standard...all good. Their "spicy" dishes, like Sichuan chicken actually have some spice which is nice. They will adjust heat to your preferences. You can order takeout on line which is also very handy. I recommend this restaurant.

Food came out at just the right pace between courses. Ambience was only "ok"... I did notice that things looked a bit worn. And one thing that bothered me was that there were ceiling tiles that were badly water stained and sagging... nothing active, but it was very unsightly. Given that they are very easy to replace, leaving them there just made the place feel less "special evening" ambience to more like "a diner" which is a shame for a place i expected to be more classy. As for the food we had lots of positives to say. We tried the crab bisque appetizer which was thick and creamy with just the right amount of seasoning and crab meat. The portion for a first course was generous. We also got the steamed mussels in a white wine and garlic sauce. The mussels were cooked perfectly. They were plump, tender and flavorful the sauce was delicious. Be sure to ask for extra bread to soak up some of the broth and juices. The side salads were likewise generous portions, fresh and crisp. Very happy! The main courses come with just one side. I got the fried seafood platter with hushpuppies and my wife got the stuffed flounder with onion rings. The fried platter came with flounder, shrimp and oysters, with tartar sauce and cocktail sauce. All were coated in a lightly seasoned breading that was crisp. Not overly thick. The hushpuppies, which other reviewers said were outstanding, I found to be on the sweet side. Crisp, yes, but overall just ok...I prefer mine more savory than sweet. The stuffed flounder was also very well done. Delicious. The flounder was cooked just right. Flaky and moist. The onion rings were thick cut, beer batter dipped. They were hot and crisp and the portion like everything else here was generous. In the end we did need a box to bring some of our entrees home. We left very satisfied. So I was pretty satisfied with the food and the service. Now if they could just do something to get the dining room as upscale as the food and service this would be an outstanding dining experience... thus only four stars instead of five.

We went on a Thursday evening, ordered the Combination platter that comes with an entree, pork fried rice, soup and an egg roll plus dessert for around $15.00. We opted to have steamed white rice instead. Food was hot, and arrived to the table in a timely manner. We also had the steamed meat dumplings, which were phenomenal. They seem to be made in house. I would definitely recommend this place for those who love quality Chinese Food

The Generals Tso's was bland, The shrimp in the shrimp and lobster sauce dish were significantly overcooked, and the rice lacked seasoning. Assuming that was a one-time issue, I ordered again tonight with similar results--and they even missed sending the side order of Pork Fried Rice. Very disappointing. Given my long history with this restaurant, I will likely give them one more try, but I am now officially nervous that I am going to have to find another Chinese Takeout place.

A little girl (maybe middle schooler) takes my order and my family's orders. She was very polite and well mannered. Her mother came out and served us our food one by one, asking if there was anything else we needed. It seemed like she made the food as well. You could tell she was very hard working. The general tso chicken was a generous portion, glazed with sweet brown sauce, yet still crunchy (how I like it). The rice was mixed with pieces of pork, I never mind extra meat. The platter came with a very crunchy and large egg roll. As I finish eating my food I see an older man come into the store and say, "my wife needs soup, she is sick." I hear the mother in the kitchen, amidst the clanging of pots and hiss of steam typical of a kitchen, exclaim genuine worry and concern. The little girl asked the man questions about his wife's condition. If you are looking for cheap yet tasty chinese food, and great service, this is the top place.

The fried rice was absolutely tasteless. The cubed pieces of onion were barely cooked. Neither were the bean sprouts. I ate 2 spoons of it and tossed it. The chicken wings were overly cooked to the point they were hard. Even the meat of the wing was cooked hard. No review of the shrimp toast. It was for my mother and she didn't comment. However, she only ate 1 piece. This was a total waste of 50$ yes, 50$ for 2 SMALL fried rice, 4 fried wings, an order of shrimp toast and sweet and sour chicken, most of which went in the garbage.

Since we were in the company of a bunch of preteens, ice tea and mango bubble thingies were enjoyed by all. (For the future: they have a full bar, with everything from beers to fruity drinks to shots. I didn't see sake on the menu, but I'm not a fan so didn't look really hard). Apps were good, with serving sizes plentiful. We ordered fried calamari (served in stick form, not rings; weird but tasty), really nice tempura, and Ying Yang shrimp (the spicy may sauce was OK, but the wasabi sauce was killer!). For mains we focused on: sushi. Lots and lots of sushi. The rolled sushi menu is very long; the sushi (actually nigiri) and sashimi menu not so much. Nothing on the menu described how big the portions were so the 'dults each ordered a several different selections, both rolls and sushi. This kiddies ordered ramen, and Spousal Unit got Drunken Noodles with Chicken along with a sushi roll. Turns out the rolls were HUGE so we overordered dramatically (pro tip: ask in the future). Everything was fresh and tasty. My only quibble was that the Spider Roll appeared to be fried surimi (artificial crab) not soft shell crab. How could I tell? No legs, baby! We rolled out stuffed, with a doggie bag full of sushi for Daddy Dearest's second dinner. The price was very reasonable, and the quality far better than Lantern Sushi (but not as good as Sushi Nomo or Lazy Fish). Middle-Oldest Grand Daughter's birthday dinner was a success - and I'm already looking forward to next year's!
