Pretty sure they put chicken in the pita then realized it was supposed to be veggie and took the chicken out and forgot to put halloumi in. For a vegetarian this is not okay. Also finding a rubber band in food is terrible, someone could have chocked on that. Then a 3 person had a horrible salad. It took 48 minutes for food to come We did get a refund for 2 of the 6 meals but honestly that's not okay. Manager said they are understaffed but unfortunately it's not really an excuse. Would not recommend this place.

There is a fair amount of seating inside and I have never been in there and not been able to find a table. My only complaint is that several times I have not been able to get a veggie burger as they have run out. So, if you're vegetarian, get there early!! I saw Five guys was here (our first time in Portsmouth), I took my girlfriend to the place (she hasn't been before). The place was just opening and even though there was five minutes until it officially opened. A Jack W. told us to come on in, he served us with a lot of enthusiasm and was all in all a wonderful person. He made our day better, I always recommend five guys because it has some solid fries and shakes, but Jack made it a whole lot better. He served with a smile and you can just tell he is enjoying life, we need more of him in other places! The fries were good as well, my partner said they were pretty high up there. Would recommend this place to anyone!

Where else in Portsmouth can you get cod and chips for £1.90?…read more Not only is this a Chinese takeaway but they also serve a limited fish and chips menu. I believe their prices are the cheapest in Portsmouth, and yet the quality of their food is great (even the chips are always nice and fresh having been cooked in clean oil, and not kept heated for hours on end). It's such a busy place there's no time for chips to go stale anyway! Their Chinese menu is full of all your essential takeaway favourites at a great price and their king prawn dishes are my favourite as they feature a huge portion of proper big king size prawns, not the pale imitation you get in many places. Service is always polite, friendly and as quick as possible, and of course you can phone in your order then collect it to save waiting.

The food is brilliant, with the lamb shish in particular being gorgeous - obviously fresh, good quality and just-chargrilled - and the salad is crisp and fresh also. The chips have got better recently too; at first they were quite soggy and almost inedible, but somehow this has got fixed recently and they're bloody lovely! My only real gripe is that they won't take cards or even a cheque, everything is cash only, and you can't order from places like Just-eat or whatever which makes things a little inconvenient as I don't usually carry cash around. Given how good the food is though, I can't complain too much?
