Twice, twice in recent times I've gone to SimonMed. Both have been substandard quality and office…read moreexperience. The first time, just a few months ago, I walked in for an X-ray. Yup, no appointment, walk in. I arrived when the office opened. But, apparently X-ray staff arrived later. So I left and came back an hour later and waited in line for my X-ray. Today, again, I walked in for an X-ray. There was only one person at the reception desk. She couldn't fit me in! I was told to come back later. Hmmm! Hey SimonMed, make appointments! Staff the reception desk and X-ray department Provide better care.

I was told that they were open for business at 7:00 AM. And they accept walk in's for chest x-rays…read moreand they were first come first serve. I arrived at 7:15 AM. I was then told that they didn't do chest x-rays until after 8:30 AM. Not good news but I was there and there was no one else waiting. Then at 8:45 AM I was told that the chest x-ray tech was not going to be working today, and I would have to come back. They said they would reopen on 2Jan25 but they do not make appointments. I am not going to ever go back there again I am definitely not going to recommend Simon Medical Imaging company. I would go so far to even say that I would not recommend this business to my worst enemy much less to my ex-wife even though she probably deserves the poor customer service and poor customer care she would probably receive from Simon Medical Imaging. I think that you're taking your health and life in your own hands to get anything done by this company. Good luck Today 31Dec24 I received a call from Simon Medical imaging. The message was that they saw that I had an appointment with them see below. I will not reschedule anything with them and I would not recommend them even to my worst enemy up to including my ex-wife although she probably deserves the poor treatment and care and customer service that they provide. Hi, this is SimonMed. We see your appointment needs to be rescheduled. Please call us at 1-866-614-8555 to reschedule at your convenience.

I would say the doctor/PA was great. Unfortunately, it's been 5 days and still don't have blood…read moreresults after having chest pains while there. They did an EKG which came back negative and also took blood. I was told I would get a call in 2 days. It's been 5 days and I have been trying to call them for 2 days. Nobody is picking up the phone!!!! Ridiculous. Let's see if someone from corporate calls after sending them a message from the website.

I developed an earache over the passed couple days. As I was about to head to CVS to pick up some…read moreover the counter ear drops, my wife recommended going to urgent care since we're heading out of town tomorrow. I'm a cash payer, no standardized health insurance, so I was reluctant, but decided it might be a good idea because the pain is worse today than it has been. I made the appointment and upon my arrival, I let the woman at the desk know I don't have insurance and ask how much the visit will cost. She said she can't tell me that and it all depends on what the doctor does, x-rays, exams, etc. I thought it be odd there is not a standard visit cost, but thought it'd be around $50-$75 since I knew no x-rays would be needed. I get called back, they weigh me, take my blood pressure and temp, all check out well. I wait a couple mins for the doctor. Not a long wait, which was nice. He walks in and asks about the earache. I tell him it's in my left ear and that I've had similar pain before which turned out to be an impact of the ear or wax build up. He immediately checks my right ear for reference, no problem. Then checks my left and says, "Guess what." I reply, "what." He tells me, it's all clear and completely clean. It is a little inflamed though, so he prescribed me ear drops. He was in the office a total of about 3 to 5 minutes. I go to the front and they give me my script and a bill for $180! What?!?! $180?! For what?! To tell me I have no wax build up in my ear take some ear drops, which I already planned to do? I was floored at the price tag. This is the problem with the health care system. It's such a scam. It's no wonder people result to Google or web md. If she would've told me the price before I went to the back, I would've walked out. But because I was "seen," they can charge whatever they want and I can't do anything about it. Shame on you NextCare taking advantage of hard working Americans. I won't be back, but what do you care? You got your $180.

Hate leave a bad review. Ford is a great provider, but…read more.. Looks like onvida is pulling a new billing scam. At the ENT clinic we had to sign an agreement that its a hospital service and a physician service and a hospital service will be charged. There will be a charge and a copay for both. I'd like to downgrade the review from two stars to zero stars, what is noted in the first section, doctor Ford is still a good provider. Unfortunately, the front office was an exercise in futility to be generous. We were unable to schedule the follow-up visit and were told to call back in a month. Then we tried to schedule to get hearing AIDS. They gave us a printed sheet of paper to call somebody else, and they started commenting about insurance that isn't ours, and finally realized they weren't even looking at the correct account. They were looking at somebody else's chart entirely. Obviously more annoyed than embarrassed at their incompetence, at that point they just tried to do everything they could to get us out of the office as fast as possible instead of taking care of us. I am not even angry. I'm appalled. How can a health care provider? They just said they were going to double charge and double co pay then say we just don't want your money. Go away. We're too incompetent to take care of you. I think they need to have their hearing checked. They said you may have to pay it out-of-pocket and then I said i'm aware of that. I'll pay it in cash $100 bills if necessary. So why in the hell couldn't they schedule it.

This is a tough one. Most (not all) of the actual providers are okay to great, but the company is…read moremercenary and has inappropriate clerical and front office staff training. Mercenary: Two charges and two copays for a (not at the hospital) visit to see one provider for one service. Maybe its legal, but its certainly morally ambiguous. Poor Training: Unable to schedule follow up visit at time of current visit. Have to call back in a month. More Poor Training: Tried to schedule a different service and was handed a number to call somebody else for an insurance company we don't even have. Then I realized they were looking at somebody else's account. Instead of apologizing and trying to get things straight they just seemed to want to get us out of the office as fast as possible. Saying they would check with our insurance and call us. It's not covered by the insurance I was willing to pay out of pocket, but they never even let it get to that point. My mom needs hearing aids. I'm willing to pay in cash with $100 bills if need be, but Onvida's ENT clinic on Avenue B just wanted to get rid of us. Generally, Dr Patrick Ford is a great provider there, but he could stand to know a little more about the other directly related services within the clinic. I'd give Dr Ford 4 stars, but Onvida as an organization would get just 1. Given that the cost of Onvida (a community non-profit medical organization) is among the most expensive in the country, my experience today taking my mom to see the doctor was very disappointing. I went with my mom today with every intent of doing whatever was necessary to get her hearing aids going, and left feeling like Onvida doesn't want our business at any price. It was pretty terrible.
