So I had to rely on Yelp once again to find a reliable and well reviewed place to get a Brazilian sugar which is always a little nerve-wrecking! But once again, Yelp steered me right to MB Day Spa and to the lovely Gigi! Gigi was an absolute pleasure, so nice + warm. Made you feel like family. I have also NEVER had someone more invested in providing a precise wax, she got everything and I mean everything! That was so amazing and something I really appreciated. Her prices are extremely affordable + when in VA and needing a clean up, I will absolute be coming to see Gigi! Highly recommended.

She's also very attentive to detail, and she does her best to see to it that that clients leave with not just with smooth skin, but with healthy skin as well. While this may mean that appointments may take a little longer than you're used to, the results are well worth it. I also appreciate that all of the products Neza uses for her services are homemade, and made with all natural ingredients. There is ample parking close to the salon (both on the street and in the parking lot next door). Her hours were flexible and allowed me to squeeze in an appointment after work during the week. Nice!

I was so embarrassed when I looked down at my phone and realized I showed up on the wrong day! I had the right date in my phone, but the wrong date in my head:) Still, G was so kind to go above and beyond to manually schedule me for another appointment that would work best for my schedule going forward. At no point did she make me feel uncomfortable to speak to me in a demeaning tone. Instead, she laughed it off and said, "no problem! Let's see when I get you in!" Here is the real humbling part.... G scheduled me for a 8 am appointment on Saturday because that is what worked best for ME. This is OUTSIDE of regular business hours. Who does that?! A true professional, one who is passionate about her business and client's needs. I even received a courtesy reminder the day before. Feedback specific to G, the owner: G is a thorough professional with a passion for skin care. She is kind, honest, and laid back. She took the time to understand my skin and explain what she was doing. Additionally, she is a great conversationalist, one who goes above and beyond to make sure her client (GROUPON CLIENT) is comfortable. Feedback on skin/service: My skin feels amazing and I can already see the difference. It feels smoother and softer to the touch. It is important to point out that I actually purchased my groupon because of my friend's glowing face. More specifically, I noticed that my friend's skin was brighter, more youthful, and literally glowing... She referred me to G's skincare center and assured me that I would not be dissapointed. I decided to go the Groupon route since I wanted to "try it out" before really becoming a vested client. After just this one visit, I have no doubt that I will be returning for monthly visits. I would highly recommend G's Ageless Skin Center to anyone looking for a truly remarkable experience. That's really what it is! Not just a facial...but an experience that leaves you feeling relaxed, pampered, and of course- glowing:) I can't wait to go back!

I am definitely ditching The major wax chain I used prior and supporting this wonderful waxing business from here on out! I scheduled my appointment online and snagged a last minute appointment for a Saturday morning with Madi. I arrived about 15 minutes early for my appointment and she was able to take me right away. I paid for my services prior, which I appreciate. Nothing like a bottle neck at the front desk, with all your patrons trying to pay at the same time. The decor in the Beauty Lab is beautiful. If it very minimalistic, homey and comfortable. Most importantly, it is very clean! In fact, the kind gentlemen at the front desk was cleaning when I arrived. Cleanliness is definitely very important for a waxing business, so I appreciated that! The wax room was very spacious and clean. Madi was an absolute sweetheart. She was very professional and the wax experience was amazing! She had me in and out in no time, which I definitely appreciated on this specific Saturday, because it was snowing and I wanted to get off the roads ASAP. Amazing business, amazing staff, amazing experience! You should really patronize this business. I assure you, you will not be disappointed!

And that $15 you pay for the membership, better do it in January only because it's not for a year from when you started, it's due every January. So my membership that started in September still has to be renewed in January for another $15. I am not renewing just to find out all the other ways they plan on screwing me over. The worst is the managers/owners are completely absentee and make the waxers do double duty at the front desk and take on the brunt of frustrated customers. Must be nice to sit in your palace funded by bad business practices and the labor of others. Speaking of the waxers, Christina is absolutely amazing and the best waxer I've ever had. She is efficient, minimizes pain, and produces clean and lasting results. She should be paid what the quality of her work deserves and she should be treated better.

I love anything spa and wellness and I've had plenty of facials, but this one was different. Maria starts with the consultation where she ensures she agrees with your consensus of what type of skin you have and why you're there to see her. She shares facts and data points that I found super useful when evaluating what I needed to change to take care of my face. You'll get some steam to open pores, extraction, mask, massage, moisture, etc. I opted for the biogenic facial. It's ideal for those of you that want to start with a fresh palette. She'll also tell you what to do when you leave her office and how to see continued results. Yes, I left with some products, but they're all natural, organic, and I purchased the core products I don't already have in my (overindulgent) product world. The coolest thing Maria introduced me to and recommended - this electromagnetic something or other that she'd run over some type of bee pollen powder to almost create a barrier between your face, the cleansing it just got, and helping with healing and closing everything back up. It's apparently very common in the Ukraine and Russia. It doesn't hurt, just feels like an electric current is going across your face. I can't describe that eloquently, but it's cool and I bought into it. Maria will fix you up. Come here for some improvements. She offers a variety of services. I'll be back.
