What you will notice upon entering the salon, is that the place is super clean, unlike other establishments. Cleanliness is the first and most important priority at L'Ami. With the foot detox treatment, this is paramount. As such, clean new bags are placed in the water basins where your feet get detox. Once the treatment is done, the entire bag is disposed of, preventing any other person form using the same (dirty) water. L'Ami doesn't cut corners by using bags over and over! For the foot detox treatment, I sat on a very comfortable massage chair (lovely)! The water is clean at the start, but once the electrodes are connected to your arm, and the machine is running for ~25 minutes, the toxins go out through the pores of your feet and turn the water yellow, green, or red, depending on what is being cleansed. But they've been respectful that I prefer treatments like fraxel laser and such. There is a reason why they recommend filler though, because it does show faster results than others. You're going to say those are expensive but they're not selling you products like La mer cream for $400. I did comment about the unevenness of lines, mismatched shapes, and unpleasant darkness at the end of her work. She was able to comfort me by telling me I needed a few days for some healing, exfoliating, etc. I did wait a few days and came back a week later with the same complaints. It was then she advised me to rub Hydrogen Peroxide on my eyebrows until they faded. I left that day doing just as she told... to no avail. Thus, with all that sad, having my eyebrows embroidered at Herbal Mineral had been a very, very, very big disappointment. It's been a regret ever since, and to this day, I wish I had never purchased that groupon.
