I'm talking zero seasoning, spice, flavor! We didn't want to waste money so we choked down the food. The only good things we had were the French fries and eggs. The tequeños were dry and the cheese was not hot on the inside. The "tortilla" was thick and inedible. The arepa was horrible, so very dry and with no flavor at all. If you're in the mood to get disappointed this is your place the food was terrible. My hubby had the "calentado"( rice and beans, steak, egg). I think I could of gone to the back and made it taste better. He said the rice and beans were tasteless and watery, the steak was hard and dry, the only thing he enjoyed were the eggs and even found egg shells in his food lol. No one speaks English. I ordered the blood sausage (which looked and tasted old), pan de bono, which was microwaved, arepa de choclo (which was microwaved), large cheese loaf(which was microwaved and tasted rotten), empanada de carne(which was out, hard on the outside and mushy on the inside) the meat tasted like dog food. When I complained about the food, the lady said "It's already on the check, I can't do anything about it." When I asked her for some ice with my drink she said "okay one second." They never brought it lol. They gave me warm orange juice, I would expect some ice so it's cold. Not sure how in the hell these people get any bussiness. I had the chicharron which was delicious with their national aji picante (hot sauce) which was delicious. Just the right hot. Yes I agree the empanadas are on the greasy side, however i prefer them this way. Better than dry. The churrasco steak was thin, cooked well and tasty. The plantains were sweet and caramel. I was impressed. Enjoyed the ambience, surrounded by the rich Columbian culture. I'll definitely come again. As a professional athlete I have ate at many different places good and well little hole in the walls but never have I received The worst service ever. They made me wait over 20 mins before asking us what to drink I asked for a Pan de Bono and the heat it up in the microwave and gave it to me like that I asked for a corona regular and they serve me a light asked for an empanada I got one but it was more breading than meat or anything else. Had to wait about 30 min before I was asked if I needed to order something else not knowing I had not ordered my main plate yet. Finally ordered my plate and had to wait another 25 min while they brought me my food wasn't brought my water I asked for 2 times and also left me waiting for another drink. Horrible service and horrible food. I do not recommend this place at all should be shut down. Very disappointed with restaurant. Do Not recommend anyone go there. I gave three stars because the pastries and natural juices are so delicious. But I order the "calentado" breakfast and it was literally left over food from another day. The meat smelled and tasted rotten, the rice and beans were soggy to the point it had fused together into a paste and the taste was horrible, it was literally rotten food re-heated. This was my second time I have been there , I am from Barranquilla . I was with my aunt sister and fiancé who is American , my food was great , really great ajiaco , la panaderia is so so . My fiancé saw a picture of an arepa he order it , when we got it . It was dry and it tasted like shit , likely had been sitting all day. He returned it after two bites , I tried it and I did not taste like an arepa. The manager refused to take it off the ticket . She also send the only English speaking waitress to our table . The baked goods are great (Pan De Bono!), good coffee, nice staff (it helps if you speak some Spanish.. they barely speak any English-but that's always a good sign :) Also had lunch there one day- not bad. I called the company and they contacted the bakery who said the order was already out for delivery. An hour passed again they were contacted and they said it was again out for delivery. Another hour passed and they were contacted again and they said there was confusion and they would then make the order again and get it to me in 20 minutes. Of course over an hour has passed and I am still waiting for this order. Never have I seen a restaurant so incompetent that they are unable to make an arepa and get it to the customer in less than 4 hours....Still waiting actually. updated to add that it finally arrived 4.5 hours after the original order. Went for lunch, had the churrasco skirt steak with Camerones (shrimp). The steak was cooked perfectly (medium), with the Shrimps, which had a sautéed onion/green pepper sauce. Sides included red beans and rice, and fried plantains. The beans had big chunks of ham in them and were delicioso. Topped off the meal with a coconut crusted caramel filled cookie and a cafe con leche. Service was superb and prices reasonable. Will definitely be back! read more

This place is a fraud to all Colombia bakery's. I am Colombian and know authentic Colombian bakery's when I see one and this place is a joke! First of all they microwave EVERYTHING to heat it up, meaning nothing is fresh! They use Burger King coffee cups for the tasteless and burnt coffee they serve and the staff always looks annoyed when you are unsure of what you want to order. Their quality of food is terrible and honestly overpriced. They apparently changed the waiting staff and they have no clue of what they are doing. Waited 30 minutes for the food and all I got was excuses. The WORST customer service I've ever had. We placed an order for delivery at 9:00 AM to be delivered at 11:30 AM. It was explained to the person taking the order that we could not eat at a different time and asked if this would be an issue. They said they could deliver at this time or even 5 minutes earlier. At 11:40, I called them and they said that the food had "just left". We are approximately 6 minutes away (with traffic). At 12:00, I called back to say that I had missed my entire lunch and that I was waiting for the food. I was given the driver's cell phone number (who happens to also be the owner of the restaurant) and she said she was LOST! I told her that now the food was going to be cold and that now I had to wait until 2 pm to eat because it was my next lunch. She said the food would be hot because it "just left" the restaurant. Hmmmm......just spotted a LIE! They told me 1/2 hour ago that the food had "just left". I got my food at 1:00 PM. And they had the nerve to not take anything off the bill except for the delivery fee and they didn't give me back change because they actually thought they deserved a $10 tip! UNREAL! Never again.
