OMG book your next weekend retreat at Yucca Shala!! Besides the grand studio space and clean shower amenities, Kim is at an elite level which will be sure to up level your asana practice. The space is clean with good vibes. There's accommodations to sleep similar to a hostel with a very loving community feeling to it. It's conveniently located 15 mins from the Joshua Tree west entrance. Message Kim to book your stay immediately!

We were just at Yucca Shala for an art party and I've never been to such a magical place. As soon as you step foot on the property your worries go away and your mind is at ease with the welcoming environment that Kim and Spencer created. I felt like I was at home there. The bunk house is so fun and felt like I was at sleep away camp with my friends! At first when you see bunk beds, you think there is no way it would be comfortable, but I slept so well there and everything was sparkling clean. We'll definitely be back to Yucca Shala someday!

My wife and I got married here on October 13th of this year and it was the best experience of my life. This venue is absolutely INCREDIBLE and has so much to offer! They have a warm/inviting foyer, a beautiful hall with a gorgeous backdrop (where we had the ceremony and dancing) as well as a newly renovated studio (where the bridal party got ready) and a full residential area with 10+ beds, bathroom, and kitchen (where the groom's party got ready). The grounds of the property (where we held the reception, catering, bar, and photos) are completely enclosed and create its own "boho" and desert atmosphere that make it feel like its own world. Yucca Shala has SO many different beautiful photo ops. Kim and Spencer also provided us with a motorcycle/sidecar as well as a large wood triangle frame backdrop to use for photos! The venue had a shipping container with a 16ft vintage couch we used as a stage for speeches. Kim and Spencer were so helpful, flexible, and accommodating in setting everything up. They provided and set up the tables, chairs, and any miscellaneous items we needed at the last minute. Kim and Spencer are some of the most down-to-earth and genuine people we've met. Upon first visit, I thought for sure that this venue was going to cost an arm-and-leg but they quoted us the most reasonable price we received across the ENTIRE high-desert/morongo basin. If you're looking for the perfect place to host your event at a reasonable price, good luck finding any place that beats Yucca Shala!

Wednesdays at 1:30 we gather at Pan Pacific Park to get our Qi on. So far we have gone over Yang Style 24 Form, and we also started learning some Ba Gua, as well as doing a lot of qi building foundational exercises. He gives us homework too so we have things to work on at home to keep building the qi. It's so nice to take advantage of living in LA by actually getting outside in the nice weather once a week, I highly recommend it. We also have videos that we can watch at home to help with the practice, which is good because I don't have the best memory. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again.
