In 2012, I checked out a set of Rolf Elan wheelsets running WI hubs, I was not impressed due to…read moreperceived bearing friction. Fast forward to 2015, once again I'm looking to build a wheelset to spin on my 2015 Di2 Specialized S-Works Tarmac. I came across a YouTube link on WI T-11 hub sound. Amazingly there were quiet and spun and spun and spun [freewheel]. I checked Fairwheel Bikes and Wheelbuilder hub reviews and was pleased with what I read about the T11's. So I hunted down a new pair of Rolf Elan's to check freehub noise and spin and was very pleased in the results. OK, these are the hubs going on my custom build wheelset, not DT Swiss requiring special tools, not Chris Kings also requiring special tools. Yeah, I could go with lighter hubs but I wanted durability, functionality, and smooth operability not something I had to tinker with constantly. I ordered black T-11's laced to Sapim CX-Ray spokes [20/24] onto Pacenti SL-23 v2 rims. Total weight is 1385 grams. The day they arrived I was away from home. My grandson signed for them and proceeded to pull the freehub to inspect the lube/grease. When putting it back he damaged/bent the pawl springs. Arrrgghhhh!!! I sent WI an email. Lynette Toepfer responds quickly. I call her the next day to finalize how/what should be done. Lynette states she could mail the the pawl springs or I could send the freehub up to her. I chose the latter. Lynette also stated the repair work would be a FREEBEE! A week later I had the freehub back in my hands. Now this is what I call Super Service! 10 stars for super friendly service! 5 more stars for hubs that are magnificent to ride on; quiet, smooth, engages quickly. 5 more stars for the ease of servicing the hubs. Check YouTube for instructions. Keep in mind the hubs should look and operate as expected, and most important of all how the company handles your situation when issues/problems arise. This is what makes White Industries top notch in my books!

Not those $30 a pop, cheap BMX ones, but longer lasting ones. The slight buzz generated in the rear of my bike leaves me with that warm fuzzing feeling.
