I had a good continuous run at working out three days a week. I looked and felt great! Unfortunately, due to work hours and a financial changes, I ended up stopping for about eight months. It's amazing to see how your body changes when going from working out 3xs a week to nothing. Clint would call to check up and see if my situation changed and encouraged me to return. His calls were never annoying or like a sales pitch. They were just a reminder that if my situation changed that I could very easily get back to where I left off. I ended up returning about a month ago and man, thank goodness. The first workout was a bitch, again, but Clint kept reminding me that it would get better. I have committed to return to my regular 3xs a week visits. His hours are flexible so I'm able to workout later in the evenings after getting off work. He is offering meal planning for his clients in 2011 and I'm very excited to take him up on that! Some have asked why I don't just do it on my own and save money. Well, to be honest, I can't! I need someone making sure I don't say F-it and take a nap. I need someone to motivate me! I love this gym and Clint is an awesome personal trainer. Is it cheap? Not really, but like anything else it's an investment. Is it worth the investment? Absolutely! I am feeling healthier, looking better, can fit nicely into my clothes... all that is priceless! I still recommend Clint as a personal trainer. His workouts will kick your ass and you'll thank him for it when you start seeing results. BTW.. the name of the gym is now We-Fit. 20/20 fitness is a great place to go if you're recovering from an injury or want to get in shape in the privacy of a small gym. Sessions run at $400 for a month's worth of 3x sessions or $300 for 2x weekly sessions. The gym is open via appointment only. Clint's gym has alot of interesting holistic health machines, such as Turbosonic vibrational machines, another vibrational moving platform called the Pineapple, a ROM machine which is essentially a stair stepper and rowing machine built into a bicycle-like contraption and free weights and a Gravitron upper body machine. The Turbosonic does make me feel great after 10 minutes and is supposed to improve blood circulation. The ROM supposedly helps the body burn over 300 calories in a 4 minute session and those 4 minutes are the only cardio you do. The muscle exercises can definitely be challenging but not total butt kickers. Then you do a series of arm exercises, abs, back with light weights. Clint himself is a cool, laid-back guy who seems somewhat dedicated to your overall fitness. T This place is definitely not for the hardcore GTL crowd or those who aggressively wants to lose weight via exercise. You barely do any cardio as mentioned above. But will you get fit? Absolutely! Would this be a good complement to an existing cardio routine? Sure. I had to give it two stars because I had to quit after a month and a half. I felt that many of my appointments were constantly getting rescheduled and there were a few times I showed up on time to a closed gym, which was incredibly annoying. :-( For a professional service, I do want the trainer to be as dedicated to my training as I am. I also have a very busy schedule and can't afford to have my appts slip. But I do think my experiences might have been an isolated incident and I'd still recommend folks to at least try it out. read more

Ah, the blasted gym membership. How many of you often enjoy going through the painful process of obtaining a gym membership? Perhaps some of you love sitting in a hot, muggy gym, filling out forms and paying all kinds of money while listening to some sales person promise you the moon and the stars and a magic rock from Mars. I bet some of you enjoy the hot sweaty stench protruding from the Elliptical machines. How about the tannorexic buff dude pumping iron in a pink tank top? Or the gal whose rock solid tits stay in place while the rest of her giggles and wiggles? I hate the gym. But I do love the occasional deal offer from Amazon. Luckily, i snagged a couple of coupons for a 1 month unlimited sessions for $24! So far, things have been great! My husband, who suffers from what his doctors calls "a fucked up back," has been doing a lot of stretching and vibrating on these state-of-the-art, futuristic-vibrating machines that are typically not found in your local 24-Hr Fitness or Gold's Gym. "Vibration Training" uses vibration throughout the body to stimulate the muscle fibers with three times the strength of gravity. You stand on a machine, Trainer Clint turns it on and sets it for 10 minutes, and your body starts feeling the smooth rumbling followed up by jiggling and wiggling and then full-body shaking. Apparently, these vibrating machines cause your muscle fibers to contract at a much faster and greater rate -- and in a shorter amount of time compared to just working out. Granted, you don't become the HULK by using this alone...Clint does push you hard and makes you do a series of exercises using other machinery within his boutique gym. My absolute "FAVORITE" piece of equipment is the infamous ROM Machine (Range Of Motion). The ROM is like a hybrid of a rowing machine, chest press, arm press and sit up...and that is just the front of the machine. The back of the machine is a serious blend of elliptical and cycling all while you hold your entire body UP using these hand bars. It's a 4 minute grueling work out that feels like hours. But once you reach the 3.5 mark, you start feeling motivated, determined and finally accomplished. It also helps when Clint is hovering over you, giving you some encouraging words and occasionally squealing like a banshee. He really does make odd noises. There are electronic massage tables with rollers that penetrate every inch of your achy body and pilate machines. I used Clint for 1 month solid and can honestly say that I miss that dude. i miss the work outs and I miss sitting in a hot sauna for 10 minutes melting away all the toxins in my body. I highly recommend Clint and 2020 Fitness... I shall return...soon I hope! read more

Clint is the gentlest fitness instructor I have seen out there and his equipment are technologically advanced but he will make you work hard and go over the average speed rate of whatever machine you are using -he will yell at you, the nicest way possible :) I got three sessions with him through a Living Social voucher for yoga. Clint will take you through different stations, mostly composed of vibrational machines where you don't do as much physical movement but surprisingly come out of the session sweating and feeling like you had a nice sprint. The one station I was pretty amazed with was the abs, wherein you rest on your back on a vibrational machine, with your legs raised and your arms also slightly raised to your side and you hold that position for a solid 4 minutes as the machine vibrates. Not as easy as it sounds I'm telling you and I am glutton for punishment. I told him after that abs session, it felt like I did some yoga, but easier. Clint will work with you on problem areas but it is not a fast pass to lazy. Apart for the nice nice yelling, he will still take you through all the stations, especially those that are not your favourites. Clint's sessions are best for those with a busy schedule and still would like to get a good workout. read more

It seems like everyone has a great experience with this place. I wish I could say the same thing. I purchased an amazon local deal for this gym, because I loved what the yelp reviews said. So I made the call in early May and left a voicemail. I was promptly gotten ahold of via text and set up an appointment. On the day of my appointment, I showed up to the gym 15 minutes early. All the doors were locked, so I waited around for 10 minutes before calling, thinking maybe he was just running behind. The phone went to voicemail, I left a message. I never received a call back, 10 minutes after my appointment time I received a message asking if I was sure I was at the right location. Doors still locked and everything. I cannot believe that I didn't even receive a phone call back from an appointment he didn't even care to show up on time to. When someone makes it that clear you aren't worth their time to call back, I can only imagine I would equally not be worth the time to train in a gym either. But, on the plus side, the place looks great inside from the window. Seems to be very open and what looks like up-to-date equipment. There is a parking lot right next to the building that only cost $4.50 for 3 hours of parking and had plenty of open spaces. read more

My boyfriend and I had been struggling to get back in to our workout habits after a stressful year. We wanted someplace close to home, because we love the Belmont Heights area of Long Beach. After a bit of yelping...voila! 20/20 fitness appeared as a possible option. We scheduled to meet with the personal training guru Clint, and see if his alternative vibration technology was something actually helpful, or a gimmick. True to form, after a few workouts with Clint, we could really feel the difference. We started to get toned and gained muscle in places our other workouts never touched. We've been working out with Clint 2 nights a week for three months now. We love the new workout companions we have, the results we keep seeing, and the energy we get from the place itself. I use to live right across the street from we fit. One day I walked in and Clint gave me a free class. I swear there's nothing like his motivation to get your blood pumping. That was about five years ago. I now live about 30 minutes away from the gym but I still travel three times a week to get my workout. I went from 270 pounds to a healthy 210. There are some nights when it gets really crowded. So Clint goes out of his way to open up the gym in the morning around 6 AM just for me. I would definitely recommend this place. read more

For a variety of reasons I had pushed fitness and exercise to the back burner. I have an extremely sedentary job with tons of driving and long hours. My diet is not the best because it is not often convenient to eat right while on the road. Because of all that I had gotten quite "un-fit" and pudgy. I saw 2020 Fitness on-line and called Clint for more info. Clint was friendly and offered the option for me to come in and check out the place. I told him I was going out of town for the weekend, but would call early the next week to schedule (I was sorta blowing him off). On Saturday of that very weekend I got a text from Clint, while I was busy drinking and gambling in Vegas, he asking if Tuesday would work for me. I was thinking "WOW" he is good! That is exactly what I needed. I started working out with Clint right away and have enjoyed it a great deal. I am definitely stronger and feel way better both physically and mentally. Probably the greatest thing of all is that Clint won't let you slip through the cracks. I'm sort of a wimp, and when I've worked a 14hour day or don't feel great, I try to crap out on my commitment. We fit gym isn't your ordinary gym as it has so much more to offer! The vibrational machines are amazing and really add to your workout. They help with cramping and soreness. I didn't believe they would help when I first started but to my surprise I wasn't sore at all during the full, four week, intense workout! The owner,Clint, is an awesome person. He is very knowldegeable in the fitness and health areas. He is really laid back, outgoing and funny which made me feel very comfortable at his gym. There are regulars that go there and add to the atmosphere by also being very outgoing and friendly. I love this gym and wish I could go more often! I discovered We Fit through an Amazon deal. I just quit my job, have been deconditioned from injury/illness and working 12 hour days. In the past, I have participated in LB Boot Camp, which was fun, but they are not great with the age group of 40+ or monitoring injury recovery. It doesn't feel inclusive. Plus, I don't want to get up for a 5:30 a.m. run. I have also participated in the group fitness of Physique on 6th. Their Zumba classes are fun, but the group fitness was again more suited for those young women who already have good muscle base. I got injured in a competitive group contest because we were told to complete the exercises as a group. I didn't want to let the team down. Now, for the real deal....WE FIT!! I am 5 sessions in with Clint. I think his customer service is great. He appears very flexible with scheduling not only for me, but with others as evidenced by his phone demeanor. He asked me about my current physical health and he has taken care of working around my bad shoulder. He has utilized a number of different exercises and the Infrared Sauna, and Infrared Laser, the Vibrating machines, the ROM, and platform Pilates. What I like best is that I no longer run out of breath going upstairs, I feel cleansed, fully worked out, yet the vibration machines seem to leave me without the typical soreness. I feel stronger and healthy and this is just after 5 sessions. Clint's personality is great. He is always smiling, helpful, and positive. He works with all ages and sizes. He is clearly committed to making people feel good and help them reach their health goals. I also enjoy the atmosphere. Nothing snobby about the place. Down to earth good feeling kinda vibe. Wow! Clint is unlike any trainer i've ever worked with. My first session with him was about a year ago and it was a pilates session. It was an amazing workout, and you could tell he was genuinely interested in my personal results and goals. Next I tried out some of the other amazing machines, which you'll be hard pressed to find anywhere else. The vibrational machines were cool, and you could tell that they were working at a cellular level. Amazing. Whenever i make it back to CA for trips and for business i will always schedule a training session with Clint. Clint knows what he's doing, and he has a ton of experience. Are you bored out of your skull with endless sessions on a treadmill? Me too and that's why I looked around for alternative ways to work out and ended up training with Clint. I have exercised, off and on, most of my life and am on the other side of 50; in other words, I've tried a lot of things. I really enjoy Clint's approach. It is different every time I go in, sometimes I'm cursing him (he takes you to your limit) but more often it is fun and I feel good as I'm leaving to go on with my day. On the days it's on my schedule, I don't get the "dreads" and I don't have to drag myself there. So I enjoy the trainer, the varied workout, the atmosphere, the eclectic group of clients but, after four weeks of training with Clint, what's the outcome? In mid-August I spent four weeks at a healthy lifestyle resort on a 1200-calorie per day low salt, low sugar, no alcohol eating plan with four to five hours of exercise a day. I had gotten way off track and needed a jump-start back to sanity. I lost 8 pounds. Then went back home to reality. Since then I've adjusted my calorie intake up to 1400 calories per day to lose one to one and a half pounds per week (in my case more realistic for the long run). I manage to stick to that eating plan five days a week and relax it a bit on the weekends. And yes, the occasional glass of red wine or Skinny Margarita is part of my eating plan. I work out with Clint three days a week. Light activity the rest of the time. In the last four weeks I lost 8 pounds. So I can eat more, exercise less and still exceed my weight loss goal by working out with Clint - in my book a great outcome. Will this work for you? You won't know unless you try. This place is awesome. I've been going here for almost four months now and I really feel and look a lot fitter. I didn't come here to lose weight or grow a massive chest with chiseled abs, I just wanted an overall work out that would complement my running workouts. Here are the pluses: + Clint the trainer is great. Very cool, personable and works you hard. He knows so much about the training, the body, and health in general. If you've suffered an injury he's really good at rehab too. + Machines are great. The TurboSonic's are great and Clint works them into the workout really well. The best thing about the machines are they add an incredible kick to each workout so you feel it in more than just a single, targeted area. And secondly, it accelerates recovery from these intense workouts. (I hear they are used by a lot of Olympic athletes and other professional athletes too) + The sauna is very soothing and healing. + The people who work out with/around you are all very interesting, intelligent and friendly, which is not common in most of the gyms I've been to. There is a real community feel to the people working out there. + Location! It's surrounded by incredible restaurants, bars, wine-bars, coffee shops and the awesome Art Theater on 4th St. Ample cheap parking too, $.25. + Clint is very flexible and accommodating with scheduling your work outs. + It's fun working out - I look forward to going to the gym (which is a first for me - I've never been a gym rat, much prefer swimming, running or biking). +Ton's of classes to choose from including yoga, pilates, kick-boxing (or something like that, I have only done the pilates so far but I plan on trying the yoga too). It's been a year and I am still going to see Clint. The improvments are noticable, in all areas. I am feeling a little more toned out, I don't always have the "I just swallowed a bowling ball" feeling. My overall health has definitly improved according to my Dr. Clint has been there pretty much every step of the way. He motivates, pushes, and encourages. I think these are some of the biggest things that each of us struggle with in our lives not only with our workouts, but also in our personal lives. If you can push yourself to the next plateau in your workout, then you can push yourself to the next plateau you are facing. I recently celebrated my one year anniversary of being a We Fit client. One of the great things about Clint and his gym is that there is ALWAYS some kind of new technique or machine that Clint has researched and brought into the fold. So I know Clint from my own job as a manager for a bank and he kept telling me to come in and try out his place. Took me about 2 months to finally call and man, am i sooooo happy I did!! I thought it was going to be a generic type personal training bit like 24 hr fitness but it was something else. Hi All, Wanted to update my review. So I finished my month a few weeks ago. My results were good. I lost more so inches then pounds. I lost 3 inches and gained 5 percent lean muscle. I was told by Clint that was good for only a month!! :) Overall my experience was good I love Clint and all his clients that i met during my trainings were nice.He is a great trainer and will push you when needed!!! If you are looking for a low impact recovery type workout he is your guy! I loved the fact that I never went home sore, but still felt like I got a good workout in!!! Why 4 stars??!! Well he lost one star because I didn't like the fact that dogs were allowed in the gym with some clients during training! Don't get me wrong I love DOGS but not in a gym. I signed up for a hefty package of semi private Pilates classes at We Fit Gym, through one of the Coupon sites. I expected it to be the usual small group class, lasting the normal one hour. Well, boy was I wrong! There were only two reformers at the "gym" which is stuffed full of equipment that I, personally, had no desire to use. I was going strictly for Pilates. Most of the time one of the reformers was in use as a coat rack! I was not interested in eating up my class time going in the sauna or doing any of the other non Pilates exercises. I think the maximum amount of time I ever spent on the Reformer was approx 10 minutes, and the sessions were only 1/2 hour! I did not seem to be able to communicate to Clint that I was there for Pilates and wasn't interested in the vibrational machines and using the other odd pieces of equipment in the gym. I went about 5 times. Clint told me several times, that he was losing so much money on my voucher! Ouch, I finally told him I didn't care and he should take it up with the coupon site. Actually that's what I did myself, and after some back and forth was fully refunded for this very less than satisfying experience, which in no case resembled "Semi-Private Pilates Sessions" as had been advertised. I couldn't have been more disappointed in my experience at We Fit Gym as I had genuinely been looking forwards to getting in shape with the sessions I had purchased. The only thing I can think to say that was "good" about the experience was that Clint was flexible with hours, he had let me start just as the coupon was running out, which I did appreciate. I got an AmazonLocals deal for 4 weeks at We Fit Gym, and it was wonderful! Clint is a really great trainer, he's very motivational and never made me feel inadequate. I'm not really big on working out, never have been, but I loved going to see Clint. I have some physical issues (screws in my ankle, weakness in my arm from a bad break) and he was very careful to take those into consideration when planning my workouts. His equipment is all somewhat non-traditional, but that was a big part of what made the workouts so enjoyable; there was no"walk on the treadmill for 45 minutes till you wanna scream from boredom." And the sauna was FANTASTIC, always my favorite part! The fact that he;s open late and on weekends was a big help too, since I have a fluctuating overtime schedule. I would absolutely recommend Clint and We Fit Gym to anyone wanting a really good, personalized workout with a great trainer. read more

I bought the original living social deal and took full advantage of the unlimited "yoga classes" that they had offered with the special. After the 1st week I signed up for two classes a day M-Th and loved the GST & TRX classes followed by one of the different yoga classes after. I ended up losing about 15 lbs in the month (working out about 3 hours a day 4 days a week) and gaining a lot of energy and confidence. Clint was too busy to train me himself for the 3 personal training sessions that came with the package, so he hired Amy with whom I set up an appointment that she didn't show up to and I guess she didn't end up working there at all, but he let me take an additional GST class to make up for it and I was stoked. Then he put me in contact with Lamont who was supposed to do my personal training sessions. Lamont was good albeit green and it was supposed to be pilates which he knew nothing about. I only did 2 of the 3 sessions with him and asked Clint if he could find some time for me because I wanted to try pilates, I mean that was why I bought the thing. He said he would call me and hasn't. Its been a couple months. Maybe he'll call due to this yelp. I gave 4 stars because I LOVED the GST & TRX classes. I'd never even heard of them before but the workouts were amazing but felt low impact. I'd say dollar for dollar maybe the best $20 I've ever spent and I'm a bargain hunter so that is saying something. I've been able to keep the weight off due to healthier eating and staying fairly active, but I still have about another 15-20 lbs to lose so I bought another groupon when I saw it come around again. This time it was $40 but I loved the classes so much I thought it was worth it. I was disappointed to find that they are no longer offer the GST & TRX classes, but I am willing to try what they do have currently. I probably wouldn't have bought the groupon if I had known that they were unavailable, but it will definitely be nice to get back into a solid routine. Here's hoping "russian kettle bell", "barre tease" & "bad kitty sassy fitness" get my butt the slim down I'm looking for. read more

clint is the greatest trainer i have ever had. he uses cutting edge technology in addition to his own supportive coaching to give you a great work out. during the work out, you feel so worked! but afterwords, you feel great and dont wake up the next morning so sore you cant do anything. you wake up and feel like hitting the gym again! and he works around your schedule! i love this place! read more

This is the place to work-out for me and anyone else who doesn't wake up in the morning thinking man I can't wait to get my work-out in but at the same time, wants to be fit and toned. For all this I rely on Clint. I started at We-Fit in late January and have transformed my body. All I do is show up and follow Clint's directions usually starting out on a vibrational machine, followed by cardio and maybe holding a push-up position on a shaking platform or pilates and then sauna or cool down. Clint somehow gets me to show up and push harder than I think I can...consistently. Oh yeah he is flexible with appointments and so easy to reach. I was puzzled by the reviewer who said she had a hard time reaching Clint to schedule a work-out.. Clint gets back to me faster than anybody I know and understands when I have to come in later than expected because I had to stay late at work. I adore the other we-fitters. They are all welcoming people who lack pretension and they give the place a "Cheers" atmosphere while Clint plays the bartender. Bottoms up ....cause mine is looking fine. read more

I am a former marathon runner. I have NEVER stuck to any gyms in my life-made several attempts, yes, but never seemed to get any value from my workouts. Clint's gym has changed all of this for me. I actually consider the gym more of a place of healing. I have suffered from many injuries over the years, many due to the rigors of training for and running 26 miles, and Clint's expertise and awesome vibrational technology machines have improved my injuries and overall health.
