It was really hard to hear, focus and stay motivated. I generally NEVER complain but when you are paying a higher price for a service then that is what is to be delivered. Today I came about 10mins early the owner asked me what I was doing there (my hair is usually in a bun) naturally curly but today it was straight..assuming she did not recognize me I stated I was there for a private session with her instructor that started in 10-15 mins she told me to go wait in my car. I find it odd and its growing uncomfortable each session. The owner then went upstairs to meet with her client. If I would have randomly walked in after she went upstairs I still would have been in the waiting area... like I did the week before without having to go to my car. Pointing out she stated this in front of her loyal clients and gave me the boot when I simply was sitting on a chair smiling at her clients. I'm a lot different looking than her other looking high class clients being tanned skin tone and I would hate to feel like I'm being treated differently when my pockets and class aren't any different. You never know someone's status by looking at them. When speaking to the owner she kept insisting on more fees to accommodate services paid for as if I did not have the money to pay for my services. She then suggested a $500 an hour fee to rent out her whole studio to be funny. Usually a private session is a 1:1 session with the trainer, instructor or what have you. She stated that is not how her studio runs and it can be quite a few others in the same session. If this is the case she should have disclosed when paying that sessions were more in a group like vicinity and I would of happily paid for classes elsewhere or paid more than half the price to join a franchise. The other clients she was with was laughing hysterically and impulsively during my session that the instructor had to keep raising her voice so I can hear her on the reformer machine. The owner was absolutely contradicting and passive when I took it upon myself to speak about my experience professionally. Never asked for any money back just wanted to see if she suggested quieter times. She challenged me to looking into renting out the studio..if I wanted to I would. However, I inquired about private sessions just as you would do with a private chef, private instructor, private massage therapist, private Villa on vacation, or personal trainer. All of which I have done and it was "private" just myself and the Coach/trainer/instructor etc. This was supposed to be a wholesome, holistic experience and despite race, age, or sex everyone should be held to that standard. Maybe the owner should disclose that it may be semi private sessions when you pay for private 1:1 sessions and others will be in the room in a small space with you. Also please note that she does offer "semi-private" sessions for a lot less but it has to be with someone you refer. Now, that I'm thinking of it it seems like a scam scheme and she is still in fact having clients pay the price for "private" seasons when in fact are not private. Honestly cannot wait to do my last 7-8 sessions and book elsewhere. Helga one of the instructors is absolutely amazing. She is why I'm sticking through this or would have cared less about 1k going down the drain. I know she drives to this particular studio for her clients from other places she attends to for her livelihood.

They offer early classes and most important instructors will still provide the class even though only 1 person signed ( WHICH IS VERY RARE! ) Pam the owner teaches some classes as well as other great instructors, such as Jolly, Johnsy and Angela. - all of them I highly recommend! I particularly have a need to exercise every day and due to work it must be done early in the mornings, I joined Pilates & Motion after my last visit to my orthopedic doctor consultation about my neck and shoulder pain, the Dr suggested for me to exercise and develop strength, I already have tried going to the chiropractor on a weekly basis and physical therapy for my knee so I decided it was time to try something in between. Hot Yoga did wonders for me but unfortunately the schedule for the studio that I particularly like conflicts with my availability, therefore, I searched for this studio. I started about 3 months ago and I feel less neck pain, also my knees have developed strength and I am working on my core and toning more my body. I highly recommend this studio and its instructors.

This was my first ever yoga class and studio I ever went to back, maybe around 2015ish! So this…read morereview is a long time coming. It helped me cultivate my practice, and for that, i will always be grateful. It's a great place for beginners to get a solid foundation to grow and learn. That's pretty important if you are interested in continuing to go deeper in your practice. But that's not always everyones goal. The prices have gone up since I last came here before the pandemic, but that's every studio. Grace, the owner, just opened this new location in the same shopping center as the previous location. I give Grace tons of credit for doing her very best to cultivate a real yoga community. There are always challenges, guest teachers, and theme classes going on to mix it up. There is a nice mix of slower flow and yin classes and more advanced classes like hot power flow. But the classes are not as frequent. It is likely intentional for business purposes. There are also some classes offered as both online and in person, which is a nice touch for those that either don't want to come face to face due to covid or can't make it in time for in person class. I just got a bundle of classes, so I'm coming back more frequently. It's far from where I actually live, so it may be short-lived. But it's nice to be back on my mat. Namaste.

Absolutely the BEST yoga studio. The instructors, staff, location, cost, parking, cleanliness, and…read morehow they pivoted during COVID is amazing. They have class for any level of yogi. I started with the "flow basics" classes that are slow, purposeful movement with lots of explanation. There were people in that class from age 20s to 80s. You do not have to have ANY experience to take that class and the instructors are great at explaining each pose and corrections you need to make. After some practice, I wanted more of a challenge and went to "flow" classes which move faster. Then I began practicing daily to sometimes twice a day during COVID and now love the power flow classes. The instructors are GREAT. Some move faster, some slower. Some instructors incorporate more advanced poses and some stick to the basics. You can try each one out and figure out who you feel most comfortable with and whose style best fits yours. My favorite instructors: Grace, because I like how her classes flow and she's great about explaining the small adjustments that I should be making in my form and practice. Rashad because of his gentle giant nature. He does simple and straight forward flow classes which are just my speed and style! Georgia because even though she can clearly do any yoga pose and is extremely flexible, she modifies her yoga practice to be accessible to anyone. And I love Jess, Lesley, Amy, Dominique, Jeffrey... really they are all great and each have their own style. I also love that the yoga instructors look like real people. They don't look like they all stepped out of a Lululemon commercial (a few do, but they can't help that they are super fit). They are real people, with real bodies, and aren't perfect. I love that I can identify with them. During COVID, the studio started online live classes every day and would also email a link to the FULL video of the class that you can replay as many times as you want for a week. WOW! This was a LIFESAVER. I was able to practice from the comfort and safety of my home as well as watch the video over and over. I was concerned that I wouldn't get my money's worth during COVID (I have the monthly unlimited package) but it has been the complete opposite! During the shut down of the studio and now reopening with smaller classes, I am able to practice from home, with my favorite instructors, conveniently and receive 1 week unlimited replays for every class I sign up for (even if I sleep through the class or it doesn't work for my schedule). I have made out like a bandit! The owner, Grace, is friendly, receptive to feedback and questions, and a fantastic yoga instructor! One of the things I love about this studio is the community. I came for the yoga, but I am committed to this studio because of the community, vibe and people. Everyone is so supportive. It is not a competitive environment at all, it's the opposite, everyone wants to help each other be healthy, strong, and the best yoga practitioner they can be. I have recommended this studio to everyone who will listen because yoga is low impact, increases strength and has huge mental health benefits. Parking: I didn't want to deal with trying to find a spot at a gym... well this yoga studio is in a lot that has 10 times the parking that is needed on any given day. Easy access to the feeder too. Try the 2 week special for new clients. It's unlimited yoga for 2 weeks. You'll find out why everyone rates Awakened Yoga 5 stars. It is the BEST.

I parked under the freeway, there's a good-sized parking lot, you just walk across the road, and the sudio is walking distance from the parking lot. I couldn't figure out any other place to park, but I didn't spend a lot of time looking. I can tell this place was made by a yogi for yogis. What an intentionally created space. You can tell a lot of thought and positive energy was crafted into the studio. It's very peaceful and calming. Good vibes only. I believe the owner used to be at 4 dragons (for those that know the yoga scene), which I have heard about, but had never been to. I took "Yoga Wind Down" with Naomi C. and it was soo good. YIN lovers dream. She has this beautiful, soothing voice. She was subbing for someone else. I need to find her other classes! I would love to take her again.
