From the start, so many things went wrong with this order. Such as: misinformation/confusion from the sales person as to which shades could or could not work in our windows, a grumpy installer who had to come back several times to get the measurements right, poor installation (one of the shades would not operate correctly), the wrong-sized shade that had to be recut and reordered. Hunter Douglas is supposed to be the premier shade manufacturer and I don't know if the problem lies with Hunter Douglas or with the local store who did not seem to know what they are doing and made little attempt to make this right for us. As of right now, January 2021, we are still missing one of the shades that had to be recut because of an error in the measurements. The order was originally placed in the summer of 2019. So we have been waiting for 7 months for completion! You would think the sales person would offer us some kind of remuneration, or would do something to expedite this last section of blind, but that has not happened. I will say that the shades that did manage to get installed look very nice. I will also say that our windows are very oddly shaped. But still ... we could have taken a little vacation on the money we spent on these drapes, not to mention the aggravation of trying to get it all done correctly. I wish I had shopped around. I decided to go with C & R....what a great decision. Let me pick my day....the workers showed up on time. They were beyond courteous. I had almost 1000 sf of flooring to be ripped out. We have rugs from China, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Iran, all made with different materials and techniques. Faisal was knowledgeable about all of the differences and was able to provide some valuable information about our rugs. He and his crew washed six rugs and made repairs to two of them. (And on his recommendation, we have stopped using our robot vacuums that caused the damage ). We could not be happier with the final results. Our rugs are bright and smell fresh and clean.

We had a full finished basement and upstairs master bedroom carpet replaced. The team arrived on time as promised and never stopped moving until the work was done. This time we went there for a mattress! Yes, a mattress. Mike's sister is here! She is just as wonderful as her brother! In fact 2 of his sister's were here! So now I have met Mike's sisters, cousin, brother-in-law! All fabulous people. Yelda, I hope I spelled that right, was a huge help in deciding on a mattress, price was fantastic, also! Sera helped, also...she had to retrieve the mattress from the back. I winded up buying not only a mattress but a platform bed as well! It was mid November,my Husband and I went to Gabe's hoping to score some nice Christmas gifts. Find we did! Our cart was literally piled full of merchandise we were going to buy. We went to check out and the line went way into the store itself. There were 25-30 people ready to checkout! What a joke! There was ONE CASHIER for all these people. The cashier wasn't in any hurry at all! She was taking her sweet time checking people out. When it was clear we would be in line for at least an hour we just left our cart and left the store! Fast forward a couple months and once again we went to Gabe's for some good deals. NOT a good idea! Once again we went to checkout and we encountered the same damned thing! I don't know if I'll ever shop there again! It's a shame bc I spent a lot of money there!
