I've run construction and remodel projects in Manatee County since 2001. On a recent job I found…read moreAce through Marlowe's Yelp review and I'm glad I did. Ace absolutely delivered great service, staff and price. We had to remove a large section of concrete floor with terrazzo for a bath remodel. Regular tile crew wasted 3 hours with small saw, jack hammers and even a gas powered concrete saw (which was incredibly loud, slow and dusty). I finally told them to quit trying and went to Yelp. Owner Brian picked up first ring. I explained the job, he gave me an immediate quote and scheduled for the next day. In the morning I got a call from his cutting team leader, Brandon. Oh oh, I thought. They're going to move the job back. Nope, they wanted to come *early*. Great news! Brandon, Trevor and Joey showed up on time. They were professional, friendly and answered all my questions. The magic (expensive) piece of equipment is a hydraulic compressor that drives a water cooled saw. Not much noise and NO DUST AT ALL. It cuts concrete like cake and is amazing to watch. See pix. The crew removed all the cut concrete. When I called Brian to pay I explained that my crew would do the concrete fill because we had to wait for plumbing inspection. He credited me back $200! Bottom line is that if you need to cut concrete for any reason (and if you need to repair it later) call Ace.

Ace Concrete was referred by our plumbing contractor to remove a concrete/tiled bathroom floor in…read moreorder to access the plumbing. We were doing a bathroom remodel which led to replacing old copper and cast iron pipes, and relocating them. We have worked with many Sarasota/Bradenton companies over the last 40 years during various remodeling/updating projects and Ace Concrete definitely earned this 5 star review. The two young men who were sent out on our job called ahead to let us know they were on their way, arrived on time, covered our hardwood floors from the front door to the bathroom, and proceeded to cut and remove the concrete and tile with absolute minimum mess. Richard and Trevor were polite, extremely careful and respectful of our property, and a pleasure to work with. After the plumbing is completed, concrete has to be poured so the tile work can begin. Ace Concrete will be doing that job, too and we hope Richard and Trevor will be back to complete that part of the project. We highly recommend this company.

Then he said he is cancelling our moving appt tomorrow morning, "Good luck!" Just, WOW. Insane. We are selling our home and must be out this week. Moving is already stressful - DO NOT PUT YOUR TRUST in these guys and risk the crazy stress of not getting out in time. If this is what he's like when you ask for coverage info, imagine trying to get him to pay for something they break.
