My best friend is heading off to pursue her Ph.D., and before her sorrowful departure, we decided…read moreto meet up at my parents' house for rural weekend fun. Since there's pretty much nothing to do in Calhoun, we spent the majority of our time in either Chattanooga or the Lake Conasauga Recreation Area--both far drives from my childhood abode. After taking a shower at home, I slathered myself in my mother's Lemongrass Cardamom body lotion from the Bath & Body Works Outlet. When my mother told me she scored it for 75% off, I rushed to the outlet before the 6 p.m. Sunday closing time to get a couple bottles for myself. "You probably wouldn't think we're nearing an outlet mall," I joked with my friend as we drove past my former piano teacher's house, progressing past a horse farm and pastures. I went a little berserk when I saw all the discounts at Bath & Body Works. Really nice lotions beckoned me at 50% and 75% off. I grabbed a huge Nectarine Mint candle marked at half the original price. I'm talking antibacterial hand soap, room fresheners, hand creams, body wash and more for astonishing bargains. I've been to this Bath & Body Works Outlet before when the prices matched the regular store more closely. Yesterday, however, all the shelves screamed with deals.

IF QUALITY IS WHAT YOU SEEK, KEEP LOOKING!…read more I stopped in for a winter flip-flop or sandal. My husband thinks that this is an oxymoron but to me, it makes perfect sense because of the original Birkenstock sandal. I like the idea of an open "slip on". This store did not really have what I wanted but I have noticed that their selection is very poor and not because of quantity but quality. I challenged my husband to find one pair of ladies boots that were leather and he couldn't. Even once trusted brands that only delivered quality leather option have gone with vegan leather. Now, here is the deal, I don't mind that you prefer to sell vegan leather but the lower quality should be reflected in the price. Also, I think the boxes should carry a special marker to indicate that the product is not leather. As a general practice, I would love for stores to organize their shoes according to leather and non-leather options for the sake of convenience. This store chain has become the Dollar Store of shoes and is no longer an option for me.

We visited Green Willow Soap in May 2026 and I was very impressed by their wide variety of safe…read moresoaps and oils. Product safety is the #1 thing I look for since my body does not detoxify itself efficiently due to a gene mutation. It is a known fact in the scientific community that emulsifiers are linked to an increased cancer risk, especially breast cancer, and that parabens and phthalates disrupt hormones and contribute to chronic inflammation/disease. All are common ingredients in mainstream beauty products. The owner at Green Willow Soap runs her ingredients through the rigorous EWG database to ensure her products are safe. We purchased the "massage oil" that did wonders to soothe our plantar fasciitis pain and also moisturize. We also purchased "silky legs shave bar" which made my legs feel amazing after a shave -- I didn't even need to lotion them afterwards! And I also purchased the "pure" soap bar for kitchen use -- I am in the kitchen so much and wash my hands a dozen times a day and suffer from dry skin on my hands as a result. But after several days of using the "pure" soap bar my hands feel great and aren't dried out in the slightest! The only downside to this company is that there isn't one closer to my home in Florida. The owner was a delight to chat with and let us sample products before buying them. Which I happily returned to purchase before we left town! Keep up the good work Green Willow Soap. I'll be back!
