In addition, there is a basketball court where you can rent a ball (for free with your membership) and play. There is a water park that is open during the summer that is great for the kids. Also, there is a whirl pool, sauna, and steam room, as well as a private class room. They have classes, but the schedule is very sporadic, and sometimes they won't have any for a while. They also have an area for kids to wait and play. There are a lot of restrooms, lockers, and showers. Overall, it's a large place that's fairly clean. The reason it isn't 5 stars is because of the service. There's often just one or two people working, and sometimes they wander off and you can't check in until they reappear. In addition, I don't think they had enough staff or people signed up for classes for them to be regular. They do a summer camp for kids, however, and at that point there's typically more staff around.

This is nonsense and terrible customer service. Don't go to this place I'm tired of putting in the effort to resolve whatever issue has happened with my membership since I have not been there since 2023. But now I'm getting hit with collections. A little customer service would be nice or somebody who can actually answer the phone instead of just an automated message calling me and when I try to call the listed number it rings and nobody answers.

It's seems they are more worried about $ than building a quality gym in Gaffney. Maintaining the equipment is a must but it seems that's not a priority with the ownership anymore. It's open 24 hours a day for anyone. It's not safe to be in there alone, anybody member or not can walk in anytime. This afternoon my wife and I attended a birthday/swim party for our middle grandson here. It was…read moreour first time and we didn't know what to expect. The whole process from where to enter to the exit and everything in between was perfectly handled by the YMCA staff . They didn't miss a beat! All of the kids had about an hour and a half to swim before it was time to eat cupcakes and various snacks and watch the birthday boy opening presents. The YMCA didn't hold my daughter to an exact number of kids she could invite so there were quite a number in attendance.
