We went to Youngs for lunch again. I went for something different this time. I had the burntends either white rice. My Wife had kali bibimbap 5 stars for the Food 10 stars for the service. As we walked in the young lady at the counter was in the midst of a $200 plus order. We waited for about 5 minutes when the person (on the phone) Told the server ok only 5 more thing. They asked them to hold so they could take our order. We asked when she brought our food how large was the order, and found out it was a Corp. order for the next day and was just short of 300. Great for this small Family owned business. This is one of the best. Go out and support your family owned. read more

A small restaurant in WBL, this place is quite good with bulgogi and kalbi. We sat inside the small dining room, but they do have ample outside seating. We did enjoy the food and I am looking forward to going back for the short ribs. read more

Ordered the Tuna Tataki with side of rice for Lunch Delivery. Customer Service did a great job on presentation. As you can see from the pics, it was a huge portion, plus big slabs of tuna. Very fresh, great flavor and the rice was steamed perfectly with a little seasoning. Definitely will be ordering again and trying other selections. This is a wonderful find! The food is very tasty. It is a small place and the owners/staff are friendly and helpful. You order at the counter and they will help you with your order if, like us, you are first/timers. There were 3 of us and we shared everything. We had Kalbi Bibimbap, Soy Garlic Tofu, and a combo of Beef Short Ribs, Tuna Tataki, and Pot Stickers. The staff explained all the foods and sauces. It was all delicious. We ordered take out tonight from Young's. How did we miss this restaurant? The Chicken Katsu was fine - a little dry and not flavorful, and teh cinnamon (?) in the sauce was odd.But the rice and slaw were great. And the short ribs were AMAZING! Potstickers were good. I've had nearly everything on the menu--and I mean everything--and it's all been fantastic. Every bite feels like it was made with care. The quality is consistently top-notch, and you can tell the ingredients are fresh and thoughtfully prepared. What really sets this place apart, though, is the service. The owners are some of the kindest, most welcoming people I've encountered in any restaurant. They always remember little preferences I've mentioned in passing. It's hard to believe that Young's has not gotten a review yet. Maybe the White Bear community is trying to keep it a secret. Stopped in for a quick lunch today with my wife. I had the Kalbi Bibimbap with an egg and Lisa had the Tuna Tataki and of course we had one of the beers on tap. The food is tasty, fresh and the service is top notch. When we arrived, we were a little apprehensive about this "hole in the wall" (small restaurant with half a dozen tables), but the delicious aromas convinced us to stay and give it a try. I'm so glad we did! The gentleman who owns and runs the business with his wife provided excellent customer service, answered our questions about the menu, and gave us a couple samples of sauces to try. It's hard to come here and not add it to your favorites list. The food is great. The prices is really great. The service and ambience are actually great. The couple has put a lot of thought into this place, and kept it simple. And thank goodness it's closer to where we live and not somewhere that there is no parking really. I love a Korean BBQ, but they can be hard to find around here. Young's is a fast-casual take on it, so some of the more traditional flourishes like side dishes and the dolsot cast iron pot are missing. But the flavors are all there! Definitely try the BiBimBop with egg. It has the right balance of savory, sweet and heat unique to Korean cuisine that will really light up your taste buds. (You can also get a mild sauce if spicy isn't your thing) Such a creative and delightful surprise. The portions include high quality protein and fresh veggies. The chef and owner grew up in Korea. Came here for dinner with my husband after walking/driving past for the last couple of weeks... next time you drive or walk by just go inside immediately and order the Pork Katsu. One of the best Katsu's I've had. Tender, juicy pork, with the perfect crust and if I could've drank the sauce I would have. The rice was also cooked to perfection. Didn't have time to take a photo because we both devoured our food so quickly. So excited to have this restaurant in White Bear Lake and looking forward to its success!
