Primrose of Mt Juliet is run and operated by a great group of individuals. The teachers are caring, engaging, and professional. My son learned things that I would never have thought a three year old could comprehend. I always felt very informed and involved in the activities at the school. I would also say that the teachers and administration challenged us to discuss daily activities and ask our kids about their lessons. I would highly recommend Primrose of Mt Juliet.

All of her teachers have gone above and beyond to show special care and have truly taken pride in their learning curriculum work. I am writing this review to share my family's experience so other parents can make informed…read moredecisions. My daughter attended Primrose until December 2025. We ultimately withdrew her after ongoing concerns about communication, follow-through, and basic care. The first time I was told that my daughter was experiencing "severe, daily issues" in her classroom was on 11/13/25, when the owner, Susan Burrow, stated that she was overwhelmed at school and unable to keep up with peers. This was surprising, as her teachers had consistently reported that she was having good days with only occasional incidents. The following day (11/14/25), I met with the Assistant Director, Blanne Burrow, to discuss simple, low-effort strategies that could help support my daughter when she became overstimulated. He took notes, and I sent a follow-up email summarizing our discussion. Later that afternoon, I received a call from the owner stating that none of the accommodations worked, despite it being only a few hours since our initial conversation. She also requested an "updated" diagnosis for my daughter's autism. I had to explain to a childcare provider that autism is a lifelong neurodevelopmental disability and that the diagnostic criteria do not expire. On 11/21/25, I followed up with my daughter's lead teacher to ask whether the suggested accommodations had been shared with her. She could only recall one item, which made it clear the list had not been communicated or implemented in any real way, despite assurances that these strategies had already been attempted. There were also two separate occasions when I discovered that my daughter had not been changed for an extended period, resulting in soaked clothing and irritation: * 11/26/24: I noticed at home that she was still wearing the pull-up I had put on her that morning. It was fully saturated, her pants were wet, and she had had a bowel movement that caused irritation. I reported this immediately to the director and her teachers. * 10/1/25: I noticed the same situation when picking her up--wet pants, soaked pull-up, and a bowel movement. I brought her back inside to be cleaned and informed her teachers and the front desk, and notified the director the next day. These were not isolated communication issues. They became a pattern of concerns regarding transparency, follow-through, and basic care expectations. After weeks of trying to collaborate and advocate, we made the difficult decision to withdraw. After speaking with several staff members, I learned that my experience was not an isolated case. I was told that Primrose has pressured other families to withdraw children who fall outside what the school views as 'the norm.' I also learned that staff are not given any training on how to work with children who have special needs, despite repeated requests from teachers for that support. Every child deserves to feel supported, safe, and cared for at school. Unfortunately, that was not our experience here.

Melissa at Concord Road found this out and did her best to accommodate all the kiddos, how nice is that? My daughter has been attending preschool at Concord Road for just a few months now, and she loves it! The classrooms are very small, only 8 kids in her class. The…read moreteachers are nothing short of amazing with the kids, many of them former teachers in private and Williamson County schools, and it is visible that they love the children and helping them learn in fun, creative ways. They have tons of active learning and fun activities with visits from the fire department, people who show them how to make apple cider from a press, guest story tellers, Halloween parades and trunk or treat, they have their own pumpkin patch, "friendship feasts" at Thanksgiving, breakfast with Santa, "career dress up days", way too many more to list! They have an annual program where they teach the kids songs and dances and the teacher even handmade their costumes. Then they provided each family a DVD of the whole thing so you don't have to crawl over parents to get a blurry video. My son comes home every single day with creative art work that is cute enough you want to frame it. He has learned his letters and numbers in fun ways like saying them while jumping on a mini trampoline and they spend as much time teaching them how to be good friends and respectful little people as school work. The teachers send home folders daily with specifics on what they did and learned that day and what they plan to do that week with reminders of any upcoming dates (and remind you of anything needed via email also). Communication is top notch, they will even let you know if your child is having a great day by texting a photo or if they had a hard morning, they will text you when they are all good (usually about 5 min after you leave!) From pick up and drop off to the order of the day it is a fine tuned machine. I was amazed today at the parade of how all the kids line up, use manners, and look so happy to be there. The classes are small (usually 4-6 kids) so they have lots of one on one attention and little friends they get to know and play with. It's really a special place for your little one to grow and learn and everything I ever hoped for in a preschool and a hundred times more. The tuition is more than affordable, especially for the attention and learning and genuinely caring teachers the kids get each day they are there. There are some great preschool programs in the area, but this place is one of a kind.

I put my baby's name on their toddler wait list one year before the semester starts, and they told me they will finalize the list for the fall semester around February, and they promised to send me an email as soon as they finish the process. We are so fortunate to be able to spend five fabulous years there. We have had two neighbors join the school after hearing me rave about it. The community CSM has created is so special, full of kindness and love. They instill a joy of learning and a strong foundation of skills that will serve children well into their adulthood. It's not only academics - they build real life skills, grace & courtesy, social & emotional resilience, and care of environment. I attribute my child's love of washing dishes and windows solely to the Montessori works she happily chooses in the classroom. She also has been able to participate in enrichment art, dance, and soccer classes during the school day, which is so convenient for working parents. The guides are well-trained and tenured. They managed to have continuous in-person school throughout the 2020-21 school year because they keep their classrooms and school environment so clean and safe. The before-care is free and the after-care is at a reasonable rate. We only need to use the after-care occasionally and my child begs to be allowed to stay more often. Montessori is all about "follow the child" and she shows me everyday that we made a great choice in joining CSM.

I noticed at a Girl Scout meeting my daughter and another student from Thales couldn't read nearly as well as their peers. I decided to have my daughter assessed independently, and we were shocked to learn she was testing below a kindergarten level (she was in 1st grade) in both reading and math. The lack of academic progress made sense once I actually saw how the classrooms are run. I substitute taught at the school several times and quickly realized that the "teachers" are not licensed educators. They simply stand there and read verbatim what a book tells them to say. They are untrained employees. They are literally just reading instructions out loud, not actually teaching the students. I immediately withdrew my kids. My daughter started second grade in the Williamson County public school system and was far behind. It took over two years of RTI, summer school, and private tutors just to get her caught up to her peers.
