I do not recommend this preschool since it has changed ownership in June, the previous owner was kind and loving with the kids. The new owner has come in and gutted and yes has brought in new equipment, classroom activities, and so on. However, the way she treats the children and parents is uncalled for. I cannot say enough good things about this preschool. My daughter attended from age two to five. We were new to the area, and had trouble with previous daycares. I found Young Minds driving around town, and dropped in on a whim. Dayna was accommodating, warm and welcoming from the moment I walked in. The school has a loving, positive environment and the staff truly enjoys what they do. My daughter was excited for school every day, always engaged in something creative and built strong friendships. These are important foundational years of a child's life, and Young Minds provides more than just that. read more

This school is amazing!!! My daughter loves the staff and they are extremely loving and devoted to the children. When you walk into the school you can feel the love warmth and total learning environment for the children. As a former DCF worker I would not put my child anywhere else young minds is the best learning center for children and their parents. Horrified! I came to tour the place today. I saw the 2.5 year old teacher being aggressive wit the kids as she frustratingly yanked them into the room past the desk. Then as I was touring wiht the Assistant director...we looked into the room as a light brown haired 2.5 boy was hurt fingers stuck or smashed by the teacher. He was crying so hard and sobbing terribly (I could tell he was in pain vs. just crying as I Have a child). She just slammed something down and stormed away from him and went over the other kids yanking them around again. The assistant director just said, "dont get your fingers smashed" to the little boy. I was immediately HORRIFIED! I asked in front of the teacher why was she walking away from him?! Why wasnt anyone helping him/?! Why was she so angry!? I declared I would make this post for the moms of this place. If the Assistant director thinks that type of Agressive Person is right to care for children and no one has any nurturing ability, I would never bring my child here. I feel so terrible for the moms whos kids are this place, and specifically in the 2.5 year old room with that lady. I have never seen someone less qualified to be around children in my life. read more
