The front yard is not fenced. Our one dog took off and was missing for 5 days. Their web site states they have frequent potty breaks during the day but we found out that they are left alone for 10 hours while they are at work. IF you choose to take your dog their please insist that they are only allowed in fenced areas AND know that they are alone all day.

Instead? Total professionals. Check-in was smoother than a cat sliding off a countertop. The exam was quick, painless (for everyone involved), and they even managed to draw blood without summoning a demon. Impressive. And the mani/pedi? Let's just say the world is a safer place now that her murder claws have been filed down. She strutted out like she just left a feline day spa, not a horror movie set. We decided upon Animals R Special. Why? Let me tell you: We found this practice to be exactly what that particular puppy needed. Full service, exceptionally trained vets, who are also empathetic vets, exceptional support staff, and also a practice that is willing to titer vs push vaccines/unneeded procedures. We bring in Wanda. She was treated so well and the communication between vet and client so nice; when I got home I told my husband, "we are switching all of them to this practice" they are extraordinary. And that is exactly what I did today. Today we brought in our 12.5 yr old dog Mo. they knew he had anxiety so they prepped in advance for him. The entire exam was on the floor, with lots of love, cuddles, good boys, and peanut butter treats. He was like a completely different dog. Showed near zero anxiety. Thats the kind of vet I want. One that goes that extra step. They confirmed he was in fact super healthy, his teeth fine. The previous practice kept saying he had cancer and at one appt suggested amputating his leg due to cancer (which btw, he doesnt have, it was a lipoma. Aka fatty growth) and wanted teeth extracted (which I thought was odd as he had no problem eating kibble.). So glad we didnt listen to the former practice as Animals r Special confirmed he is completely healthy and needs none of that. Loki comes in next week. So: if you want an honest vet, that goes the extra mile for your animal and really knows what they are doing.... You have found the right practice. 100%. We have seen both vets at this practice and recommend both the doctors. You cant go wrong with any of the ppl here. Seriously, Animals R Special is the winning place to go to because at this practice the vets/staff here are more than special, they are extraordinary. And that is what we all want for our furry friends.... The best!

Love this shelter. we got one of our first dogs here and have been back a couple times ever since!…read more this time there was a man in the cat part of the shelter that wasn't very friendly and just made us feel like we weren't really welcomed in there. my friend didn't know the rules and was having a cat sniff her hand and he very rudely told her not to do that and to ask the staff before touching them. which the reasoning was understandable, but the tone. a lot of people don't know which it's the workers job to remind them, not be rude about it. i love this place forever. my fur baby is from here. this one man will not change my opinion. They are one of the cleanest shelter around. all dogs and cats look very happy and healthy.

Chopped his fur…read more Did not get the compacted undercoat out, only trimmed 3 out of 4 of his paws, mats were on his chest. They put the wrong collar on him and my dog was choking. He was there for 4.5 hours. Dog no.2, did not brush her out, still has compacted undercoat, only 2 of 4 paws trimmed. Was traumatized and she hid under a bedside table for two days shaking. When I requested a refund the owner stated that she couldn't refund my money for another week and doesn't know how to process a credit card refund.
