Went to get my belly button pierced, the lady couldn't get my actual piercing in and had to RE-PIERCE me then finally figured out that the jewelry was a bigger gage, there for wouldn't fit, then thought I would want to get pierced a THIRD TIME??? in a row?? hellll no!!! If I could give big fat zero, I brought my whole family for the piercing special (5 ppl $75) I asked for my labret REOPEND, I was told nothing about scared tissue which I had none because I inquired before. Then the piercer really had the nerve to say "there right back where it was" lies!!! I was the ONLY family member that was able to look in the mirror. She knew she didn't put it in the same spot. So when I went back in skeletor with the ashy tattoos started telling me about scared tissue, my only question was why when someone mentions REPOPEN are they not told about any scarred tissue and the piercing may not be in the same spot! and give me the choice to take the risk! She couldn't answer that then smartly "what do you want me to do?" I wanted a refund she tells me to take the piercing out. Now I have to live with two holes in my lip and the previous ones literally visible. She could have offered half off!! I hope you all get explosive diarrhea!!!! I've had about 15 piercings done here and I haven't had a problem with any until my surface tragus. They used the wrong jewelry which was a curved barbell which rejects faster and was placed incorrectly as well. I had to go to another piercer so they can review it and offer assistance and was told that it would have to be removed before further risk. I asked for a refund and acknowledged that I was satisfied up until this piercing and they denied it. It's a shame but wanted to put out there that surface piercings should not be done here since they don't have the proper tools, besides that it's a wonderful fast paced place. read more

Second time I've gotten pierced here. First experience was a 10/10. The piercer was a very friendly, communicative piercer who was gentle & caring. I went again with my friend for the $15 piercing regretting spending $30 on two TERRIBLY misplaced piercings. The lady I went to was very rude, she was aggressive as all hell, & she didn't even mark the spots???? I didn't realize how bad it was until I got in my car. She literally pierced the side of my face. To say I'm embarrassed is an understatement. I'm highly upset & will not be coming back or recommending this place. When the first piercing went through, I said "do I have to go through with the second one?" To which she replied, "I mean you paid for it... soo" & didn't communicate at all. I got my nose pierced here a while back, I wasn't impressed but my friend convinced me to give them another shot for the 10$ saturday piercings. They're 15$ now, and obviously expect a long line. It was about a 2 hour process. The staff seemed irritated at each other and the overall environment wasn't great. There was one piercer for this expected crowd. About five other staff were walking around, seemingly bored. When I finally got in the chair I was immediately swabbed n pierced, no hesitation or communication whatsoever. My friend got two cartilage piercings, same story. The staff obviously are not changing gloves from customer to customer. The cash is handled on the same table as, and right next to the sanitation and piercing supplies. I asked a simple question about aftercare and the piercer actually laughed at me. My final red flag was that we could no longer take pictures or film the process. It's dirty and not a great experience, but I guess maybe this is what you're paying for. read more

If you want a good piercing and to not get an infection go anywhere else but here.. My piercings were crooked and piercer didn't clean the area or wear gloves. Just an overall terrible experience. Instead of offering a refund she wanted me to pay again to fix it. So I called a different shop to let them know I had gotten a bad piercing from another shop and to see if they could fix it to my surprise they already knew which shop I had gone to with out me having to mention their name!! Not a good sign.. You'll be taking your chances with this shop and that's not something I want to do with my body not worth the risk of getting an infection from poor sanitation or even blood borne diseases for a $10 piercing and having it done incorrectly! And they really just complete the deal with bad customer service. I have never met such an incompetent piercer. Do better, it's not that hard. read more

My daughter and I went to the shop to get piercings last Saturday and had a great experience! The line was long (they had $10 piercings) but moved quickly. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Slick did our piercings, 4 for my daughter and 1 for me. She was very friendly, efficient, and never made us feel rushed or unappreciated. Best of all the shop was very clean! I highly recommend this business! (Note-we were told not to park in the gravel lot across the alley. Love the $10 piercing weekends. I've gotten two done in the past month (conch and tragus). The piercer even asked about the placement of her markings before putting the needle through (she knows what she's doing). For my conch I got a little dizzy after the ring was put in and the Piercer was very friendly; engaging is conversation and giving me water and skittles to gain back the color in my face. It can get very hectic in there because of the deal, but the workers are just trying to be as efficient as possible and keep the line moving, which I respect. The staff was not that inviting and it sucked that there was no seating area (but i don't know if that's just because of covid restrictions or not) The girl who did our piercings was nice but she gave no warning to when she was gonna put the needle through. I got my industrial piercing here which i had to take out after 3 weeks because my skin began to grow around the piercing. Before taking the piercing out i went to another piercing shop and they stated the bar wasn't placed right in my ear. When getting my ear pierced they did not follow proper procedures. They stuck the needle in quick and did not take the time to make sure it was placed correctly. prior to that, I got my nipple piercings, which healed fine. However although you can get piercings at a cheap price it is not worth it! I would not recommend this place especially if it's your first piercing. If I could give 0 stars I would. Back in February my mom went here and got one of her tragus & rooks done. The lady who was piercing that day isn't the one we usually come in contact with & was very rude, while trying to get everyone in and out quickly. She didn't wipe off my moms ear before piercing nor did she mark the areas before piercing. My moms ear was most definitely pierced wrong and left her with her whole right side of her face in pain for weeks before she decided it was time to take the piercings out. read more

I'm unsure if the only piercer is the blonde but she's who I've had every time I've gone to York ink. Every time I get a piercing there it ends up crooked or doesn't heal right. I just had to take out my lip piercing because it was so crooked I couldn't get any type of ring in it. The worst part is I even tipped her. Your body is worth more than a saving a couple bucks. Regret it...I got my second lobe piercing and its been a week and they started sinking into my ear because of the stick being too small. I didn't know that at first when getting the piercing because I didn't think the length affected anything. Anyway, both of my piercings sunk into my earlobes and got infected. I made sure to take care of my piercings with the correct cleaning solution that they sold to me and everything. I had to call a different tattoo parlor to ask what to do and when I mentioned that I got my ears done here they told me to never go back and I'm going to take their word for it. read more

The owner pierced my industrial at a very awkward angle and I was unhappy, she also pierced my tongue on other occasion and I almost fainted and I was just rushed out of the chair. But I've had another girl do a lot of my piercings and she is always so helpful and friendly. I got a $25 tattoo there and it looks awful, so again you get what you pay for, but for the price I will continue to go there. I just don't see a reason to complain for the price. read more

I got a "daith" piercing and a "rook," I only put these in parentheses because THEY WEREN'T IN THE CORRECT SPOTS! I suffered through these piercings for a year and they never healed, I tried everything to get them to heal thinking it was my fault they weren't better yet. Thankfully, I got tired of it and went to one of the 717 Tattoo locations to have their piercer look at them. Not only did he inform me that mine weren't in the correct locations but that he pretty much knew were I got them just from looking at them. He told me that the "daith" was no where near where it should be and that it was most likely never going to properly heal. I definitely got what I paid for! I was so excited to get my Daith piercing, and let me tell you I've had many piercings. This was by far the worst piercing job I've ever had. The minute I got it pierced it hurt so bad I thought well it will only last a few hours. No, I had so much pain it got worse each day. Needless to say, I pulled it out 3 days after I got it done. I'm really bummed right now. I had to take my tragus ring out, and I plan to get it repierced at another place when it's healed. I don't mean to be too harsh on York Ink; after all, both of my friends that were pierced with me are not having issues with their healing, and I should have realized that my nickel allergy could have been a potential issue. However, I wasn't given any other jewelry options; I was given the horseshoe and rushed along into the line, which is an overwhelming experience for anyone new to piercings. There's no way a $10 piercing uses titanium. If you decide to get pierced here, definitely ask about the jewelry being used. read more

I had my navel pierced on 10-23-16 and the barbell is WAY too short and I have to get it switched out for a longer and not HORRIBLE quality barbell. I had to go to a different parlor and they asked if I had done it myself it's so crooked! It's begun to embed into my skin and it's so painful. I've gotten a few piercings done here and they're friendly and cheap (i think $10 on weekends) but my only complaint is that they don't mark out where the piecing will be and my one nipple piercing is a bit crooked because of it. My other 4 piercings (industrial, tragus, septum, forward helix) I've had from here are fine but if you're getting nipples, vertical labret, standard ear piercings, belly button, or anything else that really needs to be even in order to look good i'd go somewhere else. read more
