My trip first led me to Capital Tattoo where I got my piercings done. While I was there, the lady who pierced it told me not to do anything to it for the next three months; she didn't tell me how to clean it. She didn't tell me how to take care of it, she just told me not to touch it for three months. Well, after the first month, my ear began to swell and it looked like I started to get an infection, so I took my piercings out, allowed them to heal, and I returned to Capital Tattoo and talked to the staff. They blamed me for the issue. So I left and I went right down to **RAYZOR TATTOO** in Steelton, PA! I could never be happier. As soon as I walked into the door, it was an inviting atmosphere filled with art all over the place. Not only did I tell Mr. Ray about the issue I had, he made sure he addressed it and he advised me how to take care of my piercing. He also gave me a complementary spray to allow my piercing to heal. Now we have a great relationship, so I'm going to continue to get all of my artwork done from Mr. Ray. While I was there, I also mentioned to him that I have a 1966 Chrysler Newport; he told me to swing up by the next day and I sure did. I will never regret that decision! I was having issues with the vehicle and he gave me his best advice on how to get it running perfectly. I highly recommend this tattoo shop and piercing shop for anything and everything, including custom artwork and design--whether it's on your vehicle or motorcycle for pinstripe, or if it's a beautiful canvas painted on your wall. I give this review rating a hard five out of five based on location, staff awareness, convenience, and also customer service. If there's anything that I need done, whether it's artwork or an old school vehicle, I know that Ray has my back and my best interest at heart as a customer!

I called Modern Ethos and told of my situation. They brought me in the same day, made sure everything was extra sterile for me, and got the piercing out. Many of them have stated that they will not let anyone else touch them, only Bill. I have one large tattoo from Aaron at Hallows Eve, and I always get complimented on it wherever I go. The color "pops" dramatically, and the detail is first-rate. My wife had a piercing done there, and the person performing it was very good with her, as nervous as she was at the time. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by all the gnarly art work and the this dope guy who asked how he could help. I told him my issue and he was helping alongside the assistance of who I believe is their residential piercer, Lexi. Lexi was able to hook me up with a flat back stud that matched my second cartilage piercing. She helped put it in and we were set to go. Pricing was decent and they were super sweet. I originally went here in February, over 6 months ago, to get a helix piercing. I was told to wait 8 weeks before coming back to have the jewelry's post/peg downsized, which I did. I followed the aftercare instructions and have spent over $100 and more than 6 months trying to properly heal and maintain this piercing. I came back today because the backing of my piercing fell out this morning. When they looked at my ear, they told me it was swollen and that a bump was forming on the back. They then asked who originally did my piercing. When I told them, they said that person no longer works there. The way this was communicated made it seem as though there may have been an issue with how my piercing was originally done, but they did not actually explain what was wrong, what may have caused the swelling or bump, or what I should have done differently. Instead, I was essentially told to take the piercing out and consider it a loss. After investing over $100 and more than six months into this piercing, I found that response extremely frustrating and disappointing. What made the experience even worse was when I tried to remove the jewelry myself and was having difficulty because it was painful. I said I was struggling, and the employee told me that if I wanted his help, it would cost at least $20. I understand that businesses charge for services, but given that this was a piercing I originally received at their shop and I was there because I was having a complication with it, I expected at least some basic guidance or assistance. Ultimately, I was told there was nothing they could do for me and that I should take it out. There was no meaningful explanation, troubleshooting, or discussion of what might have happened or how to properly care for the area afterward. I was then told that I should wait another 6 months and come back to have it re-pierced if I still wanted a piercing in that area. So after spending over $100, following their instructions, waiting more than 6 months, and dealing with the entire healing process, I'm now being told to remove it, wait another 6 months, and potentially start the entire process over again. I understand that piercings can sometimes develop bumps or complications and that healing is not always predictable. My issue is how the situation was handled. After spending the money and following the process for more than six months, I expected much better communication, professionalism, and customer service. I left feeling dismissed rather than helped. If a piercing done at your shop develops an issue, I would expect your staff to at least explain what is happening, answer questions, and provide reasonable guidance rather than simply telling the customer to remove it and move on.

However, he captured my idea for my tattoo perfectly and added some nice touches from what was in my head. The shading was really nice and I'll be sure to come back when I have the funds and ideas flowing for some new ink. He also sells aftercare products at reasonable prices. The tattoo was also reasonably priced. If you're coming here, don't forget to tip because the work he'll put onto your skin is amazing!

I recorded the whole process and thank god I did or I wouldn't have realized the undercover aggression he had towards me and I strongly believe it was because I am a woman of color .
