I went a couple weeks ago for the 2nd time. Same old, same old disappointment of a mall since I went years ago, around 2020 or 2021. My grandmother and I went over after we went to the good park city mall. The food court has been updated a bit for what was gone last time, but the McDonalds is covered up now. There is an arcade that I don't remember being there last time. Marshalls, hot topic, boscovs, h&m, and Spencer's are here still. Fye is now gone however. The bottom floor is pretty damn vacant, with the bargain bin store being the only thing of note on the far end, and honestly the top floor is too to an extent! Unless you live near the area, go to someone like park city. read more

Growing up in York in the 90s, this was the mall you wanted your parents to take you to on a Friday night. It didn't have a movie theater, but it the best cool kid stores in York, like Pac Sun and American Eagle Outfitters, plus all the stores your parents liked, such as The Bon Ton, Sears, and JC Penney. Now, like most malls in suburban America, it is quickly dying. The only original anchor left is Boscov's. There are a few random stores and a gym. They turned The Bon Ton into a storage facility. The best part is that they turned the Sears into a Hollywood Casino. read more

I wanted to go to Bath and body Works and this was the closest location. The mall was pretty bare with some essential stores. It wasn't overly packed so it made looking around easy. I wouldn't choose here if I wanted to just shop but if I knew exactly what I was looking for I may return read more

This is a dying two-stories mall and over 80% of the store fronts are vacant. In it's heyday this was probably a lovely mall. The food court is open with six restaurants to choose from. Boscov's is the largest store. read more

York Galleria - 83+% of stores closed. Very empty place. - Shopping Centers Near Me - York, Pennsylvania

York Galleria is York, Pennsylvania's only remaining mall and it has many problems. Mall is a reasonably large two-story building with a GORGEOUS interior. The interior is so unique for a Pennsylvania mall with its high, distinctive ceilings, and windows that allow in significant amounts of natural light. Unfortunately, this is the malls strongest feature currently. The mall has a large amount of interior store vacancy with at least 50% of it being empty. Many of the remaining stores are concentrated in the Boscov's wing and around the Marshalls/Gold's Gym space. Most of the wing leading to the former Sears is empty. One of the weirdest features of the mall is you can look into the Gold's Gym swimming/lap pool from the first floor of the mall. It's frankly creepy. The food court still has several options including Skewer Word and Taco Bell. Two of the vacant anchors are currently undergoing various degrees of redevelopment. The bottom floor of the former Sears is being converted to Hollywood Casino York, with the top floor remaining vacant. The former Bon-Ton is going to be converted into Life Storage self-storage. Parts of the former JCPenney also remain vacant (currently mostly occupied by Marshalls/Gold's Gym). Even with these additions, the interior of the mall will need to be repurposed to remain relevant. This could include space for non-retail businesses, churches, and/or medical offices. Finally, several of the parking lots and parts of the ring road need to be repaved. Overall, just several years ago, this mall might have been quite impressive and worth visiting. Right now, unfortunately, despite how visually great the interior looks, it's just another dying mall with a clouded future. read more

A lot of stores have left her since its inception many years ago, but my daughter and I very much enjoy Boscov's, Marshall's, Bath and Body Works with the candle shop and Lane Bryant. It is clean and I do believe they have recently added a gym. We have also had good experiences with the restaurants in the food court. I know malls are a dying breed, but I do like this one. read more

For what we have in York it's an ok mall. They need to revitalize the entire mall to be back on its feet. I think with the right buyer this mall could see more light at the end of the tunnel. Right now it's only good for few stores. The casino did make it better for gamblers, however that's still not enough to attract more people to shop and dine. The property needs to have better tenants and restaurants to survive. Malls are things of the past however people still do shop at them. Also why in the fuck is there a storage unit in the mall! Wow... not the mall I was used to growing up. There's like no stores here. Ghost town . So sad

If I based stars on Boscov's alone, I would give a five. I can not when considering the entire mall. The variety and quality of stores has declined. Food choices are limited. Parking lot needs work. Employees in Boscov's are the friendliest. Other stores in the mall, please take note! Apple store employees follow customers around like they are criminals. When looking up York Galleria store list online, it lists great stores like Bed Bath & Beyond, Christmas Tree Shops, and others that are in another shopping center than the mall. York Town Center gets 5 stars! York Galleria--the mall--needs improvement! Change the decor, less services and more shops, better food choices, special events for different interests. read more

The layout of this mall doesn't exactly lend itself to a positive shopping experience. Like the first review on here says, you have more of the "get your stuff and go" vibe. The stores are really all over the place, and the mall itself was poorly designed. Maybe it's just me, but it takes forever to get from one end to the other. And the food court is kinda out of the way, and very cramped at that. Make an effort to drive a few extra miles to one of the nicer malls in the area, unless you need to come to a specific store at this mall. read more

It is a small town shopping mall that has Sears (for the time being), Penney's, Bon Ton and Boscov's as well as a smattering of other typical mall fare. It is nothing big and the selection is very limited. If you want something a bit bigger (ok quite a bit bigger), go to Lancaster to Park City read more

York Galleria - Shopping Centers Near Me - York, Pennsylvania

Not a bad mall at all, coming from an area where our malls are really more like a few shops, this place turned out to be okay. At first glimpse from the outside I wasn't too sure of the place, I drove around the facility and not much in the way of advertising what was inside other than the major department stores. I decided to stop in anyways and it had a nice variety of shops and the food court was your basic places that you would expect to be in a mall. read more

When it comes to malls, this is all York has. Sure it could be bigger but it serves its purpose and has a decent selection of stores You can find clothing stores, sporting stores, cell phone stores, video and video game stores, a food court, and several department stores. The mall might be slightly declining but I'm sure it will hang in there and rebound. Give it a chance, again it serves its purpose. read more

York Galleria - The food court on a busy post Christmas day - Shopping Centers Near Me - York, Pennsylvania

This mall is fairly atrocious. The food court is small, with two different Chinese restaurants, both mediocre at best. The McDonald's here is the worst I've been to in terms of service and menu options. You'll find Auntie Anne's, Subway, Sbarro's (don't eat their pizza), and a Taco Bell here as well. The Food Court is also home to the only mall restroom. There is no family restroom or nursing lounge. The mall looks run down with several empty store fronts, which they don't bother to hide or cover up with clever advertising or any pleasant image. There are holes in the floor that are the perfect size for a lady's heel to get stuck in. For some reason, one of the main entrances to the upper level smells strongly of trash. You'll walk through the first set of doors, and while you're in between those and the next set of doors to enter the mall, you better hold your breath. And be careful if it's raining or snowing because there are no rugs to dry your shoes upon entering the mall. There is a rubber mat between the sets of doors, but just your basic tile flooring once you enter the mall. This mall is home to a few staple stores, so if you're local and don't want to drive all the way up to Lancaster to Park City Center, you'll probably be able to get what you need here. But be sure to dress in layers so you can shed half of them after waking around a few minutes. The glass ceiling gives a green house effect and it gets very warm in the hallways, especially on the upper level. I would never come to this mall if I didn't work here. read more

I use to go to this mall all the time but now there are barely any stores. The only good ones are hot topic, fye, american eagle, h&m, pink and victoria secret, and bath and body works. There are barely any people shopping there. This mall is a ghost town read more

This mall sucks testes. It used to be a fairly decent mall when I was younger. Many of the storefronts are closed up & dark, the food court consists of six meager, boring offerings; a McDonald's, a Taco Bell, a Subway, Sbarro's, & a generic Chinese & Japanese place. The only stores I really go to this mall for are H&M, Journeys, & Footlocker. It would be better to just drive approximately another 20 miles east & patronize Park City Mall. read more

The best mall in York. Unfortunately for them, that really isn't saying much. There is an okay selection of stores, but if you don't mind going as far as Park City in Lancaster, they are nicer in my opinion. The galleria has their mainstay stores, however it seems like the same old spaces always have new little stores come in briefly before the space is unoccupied again. It almost reminds me of when the West Manchester Mall really started going downhill. The place seems to be a great place for teens to hang out or for a not so serious shopper like myself(know what I'm going for and get in and get out), but if you're a serious shopper you would be better off going to the aforementioned Park City or even the outlets in Lancaster. read more

This place is huge, it has all the stores you can ask for, even H&M (might need a forever21 too) and it is so empty!! Went there for the first time today and the building looks abandoned. There were maybe 30 cars parked outside and that was only on one side because all other parking lots were absolutely empty. It was around 4pm on a Monday and hardly anyone was there. I feel bad for the employees. They still get their pay but it must be absolute torture for them to sit there for 8h with hardly any customers. Maybe the mall is in an "empty" area of York or maybe there is another mall more central... but this one is not going to make it much longer it was literally empty.. read more

dark- drab- horrible. Bazcuv's store----weird. most stores in this mall do not have a lot of stock and options. the good stores are in name only-- nothing inside the store but a few pickings. read more

Awful mall. It's slow lame and needs major attention from potential buyers. Needs a new major look with new stores and restaurants and possibly a new name. Maybe York Galleria Center. Also redo the whole parking lot. It's awful. Seriously read more

I was at this mall over the weekend and it seemed like a decent place to shop. They had quite a few kid friendly events for the holidays including a bungee bounce and there is a place called tumble town. Can't complain about the anchor stores, they are pretty standard. The food court had a decent selection. If you are in York, this is your best option. read more

Malls in America are a dying tradition. I feel like this one has more life left in it than the failing mall on the west side of york, but every time I visit here, usually on a weekend, it always seems empty. I'm pretty sure the arcade is a money laundering front because I never see anyone in it. Just saying. Needless to say, if you're not an online shopper, this is the place to start, but otherwise do yourself a favor and order online. read more
