When I asked the manager if there were any 2022-2025 Honda Pilots available for a test drive, he told me none were available. I then asked for a business card, and he claimed he had run out, even though I could clearly see a stack of cards on his desk. He asked me to leave my name and number and said he would call when a vehicle became available, but I never received a call. (500 Yonkers Ave location) The experience left me feeling dismissed and undervalued as a customer. I have been a client since 2013 and just got my 2025 to be serviced. After 5k miles a16 which is a differential and oil change + a recall. Booked it a week in advanced and in their l form, I asked to let me know how long does it take so I can plan the day. 10 days later and another call to the service center, they failed to respond. Now here at the location and its.. you have an 8:45 am appointment and its 11 and no car. What is the point of a time if they will not honor it?. Can I just show up at any time?. I was just told that it might take another hour. An oil change and a software update = 4 hours. They are becoming the same as Toyota.. Received a notification from Honda for a safety recall dated August 2025 about the protective coating on driveshaft. 1. Brought car in 8/29/25. Parts had to be ordered. 2. Drive shaft was replaced 9/13/25. I noted a grinding noise coming from vehicle before I left dealership. 3. Took bringing the car back 9/16, 9/19 and 9/22 to finally get it right. The lower ball joints got damaged during the repair process and both front lower ball joints had to be replaced. 4. Had my NYS inspection by another party who knew nothing about my experience at Yonkers Honda and was informed that the drive axel bolt on right hand side was so loose I could have been injured. read more

I took my 2009 Honda Odyssey to this dealership for service because it was leaking oil. I told them clearly that I could see it was engine oil leaking from the car, not transmission fluid. However, they insisted it was the transmission leaking and said it needed a new seal. I ended up paying $2,400 for the repair. They kept my car for two weeks, and when I finally got it back, it was still leaking oil from the exact same spot. I brought it back again, and this time they claimed it was a "new leak" coming from the steering system and told me the steering pump needed to be replaced, which would cost an additional $3,600. At this point, it's clear that whatever they did didn't fix the original issue I came in for. I feel like I completely wasted $2,400, and my vehicle still has the same problem. I expected much better service from a dealership. I regret taking my car here and strongly warn others to be cautious before trusting this location with any major repairs. read more

Not to mention upon dropping my vehicle off I witnessed 2 of the mechanics crash into each other in customer vehicles. Take your vehicle to the new Rochelle dealership. In short: I believe they intentionally bent a connector pin in my tail light and tried to scam me into buying $1400 worth of services to fix it. I cannot definitively prove it, but I believe I was almost a victim of fraudulent business practices. I recently bought a used car in Pennsylvania and came here to get a NYS inspection. My service person was Joshua Taveras. He told me that the car did not pass inspection because one of the tail lights was not working. I bought the car from a dealership that bought it from the Manheim auction in PA where the vehicle report stated no issue with the tail lights. Additionally, many eyes have been on this vehicle, and the dealer checked all the lights before selling it to me. I even remember thinking the tail lights on the car looked great from the back. So this was very suspect. I took the car home and looked at it myself. Sure enough, the bulb on the reverse light was blown and the left tail light was not working. I replaced the bulb but could not figure out the issue with the tail light. However, I removed the tail light and tested it on the working side, and the LEDs lit up, so I knew the tail light assembly was fine--it was a wiring issue somewhere. Since I couldn't figure it out, I took it back. After dropping off the car, Joshua later called to tell me that I had faulty aftermarket wiring throughout the car and that they would need to remove paneling in half the car to replace it all--to the tune of $1400. $1400 to fix a tail light? BTW--the car DOES NOT have aftermarket wiring, that's a complete lie. I pushed back for more details about what the real issue was on why the tail light didn't work--after all, EVERYTHING else works so all of the wiring isn't bad, he just needed to trace the wire. He said he had to get more details and call me back. Next call he says: while I have faulty aftermarket wiring, the real problem is that the tail light assembly needs to be replaced. I probed for as much detail as possible before revealing that I tested the tail light myself and it works just fine; the issue is not with the tail light. I pressed for an actual picture of where the issue was. He followed up later with a picture of the real issue--a bent pin on the connector to the tail light. This seemed like the real issue, so I picked up the car. They waived the $289 diagnostic fee. I've attached a photo of the issue. Come to your own conclusions, but I find it highly unlikely that a single pin in a 2-pin connector could get bent back like this while connected. It all seems suspicious: trying to sell me a $1400 rewire of the vehicle, then walking that back to $720 for a new tail light, then the real issue is just a bent pin? In 60 seconds, I removed the panel and bent it back into position with a flathead screwdriver, and now the issue is fixed. I believe they tried to scam me and bent the pin themselves, knowing that I needed an inspection and had just bought the car used. I'm sure not everyone will have this kind of experience, but knowing that this is even a possibility, I would avoid at all costs. read more

I went home. Today I returned to have the work done, and the Service Representative did what he could to make up for yesterday's lapse. I entered as an emergency case and received an estimate for repairs amounting to $9,000. I could have acquired a new automobile for $9,000, and my current vehicle is not very old. They claim that everything is wrong but are unable to rectify the car recall, since they have not had the necessary item for a year. Rear brakes priced at $700? I didn't ask about any brake matter. It seems they fabricate issues to accumulate a substantial charge. Honda the goal is to encourage customers return to a company rather than discourage them via poor practices. Stick to a consistent approach, as preferred by the clientele. Also, the diagnostic charge increased to $289 plus tax.. Last Honda I will ever own! read more

Hands-down the most disappointing, unsatisfactory experience in my life at a Honda service department, which consists of a laundry list of negatives where amongst several personnel, they did not get one thing right. I won't list them all, but it starts with Hector, the Porter, who not only for some reason could not show me how to get my car into the drop off area, but raised his voice after the 3rd time I asked him. My advisor Tracy went MIA 2 hours into the service. 2 "before" alignment reports suggests that the tech actually took my car out for a joy ride, throwing my alignment way off both front and rear, plus, showing 2 extra miles on the odometer compared to what the mileage out stated. My car's alignment/handling instantly felt worse then when I brought it in, even slightly nervous and dangerous in crosswinds. To top it off, despite multiple calls and emails to the Service Manager and GM, I have yet to get any call back. It really beguiles me how a business can have an array of personnel (with exception of Jonathan) who clearly are disorganized and demonstrate an utter lack of urgency and care for the customer. I went in for a recall inspection. Ralph was my service representative. I had both of my toddlers with me, so he expedited the service. This made the world of difference for a mom with young kids! I've been going to the Yonkers Honda service center since 2013. Two days ago I brought my car in for service on the brakes and an oil change. This was the first time I felt the upsell from the sales rep. "4 Critical" items needed immediate attention. Turns out the only real critical service required was for my brakes which I already expected. I had to question the almost $2000 quote to only be told "They just list it all as critical, no you don't need to do the RECOMMENDED service." That left a very bitter taste because Edson Reyes and the paperwork indicated "Critical" on paper but when I questioned it admitted it was only recommended. In addition, he ignored my question on a loyal customer discount which I have received before. NOT THE WAY TO RETAIN CUSTOMER LOYALTY. I NO LONGER RECOMMEND YONKER HONDA SERVICE. Funny how typically before I even leave I get a request to rate the service and this time I did not. VERY SHADY! read more

Thank you to the quick and accurate service today. Our car's battery had to be replaced and as a result the dashboard display was out and needed to be fixed. In order to fix it the situation required that the battery had to be unhooked and then hooked back in place and then the power button on the display was pressed and it was operational once again. It might sound like a minor issue but in reality it's not. Important is stored and at times alerts do come about on this display. The dont place customers first nor do they have any respect. they need to let the sales reps all go and hire individuals that want to create satisfied customers and money for themselves. I had gone there as the result of an open recall of passenger side Takata air bag recall, along with requesting a fluid /lube oil change. After almost seven hours the work was finished with the service advisor Pedro Marty informing us that we had, a valve cover gasket leak, vtec solenoid gasket problem, and passenger side axle leak which would cost in total $1,281. to repair. I declined the repair and took my car to my cousin who is an experienced auto mechanic. After careful inspection he found none of these problems or repairs needed. I have since put 40,000 miles on my older car without problems. Agreeing to these phony repairs would have been the biggest swindle in my entire life, and I'm over 60 years old. FOR SHAME, and even worse is the tepid response I got from Honda Corporate when I reported the problem. Keep away from this dealership... read more

Most times I'd be indifferent about a business like this but wasting my time is a big deal to me. The appointment setter was trying to work with me and my erratic schedule. They suggest I come in first thing in the morning to see if I can be squeezed in. I do exactly that but I'm turned away and told "We don't accept walk-ins". Problem is, they absolutely DO take walk-ins as I've been a walk-in several times this and last year. Either be consistent in your rule bending across the board, or don't offer it as an option. That's just a bad business model. For anyone thinking I'm being petty, consider the following: Getting out of my neighborhood and to this dealership isn't a simple matter of a 15 minute drive each way; it means giving up a valuable parking spot and potentially losing 2-3 hours on average looking for another one on my return. So when I say wasting my mf time is a big deal to me, you'll understand the frustration at the true cost of time. read more

I am a first time car owner and have visited Yonkers Honda 3 times in the 18 months that I've had my car, mostly for oil changes and periodic maintenance. The customer service and overall experience are superior to what you'll experience at the neighboring Bronx Honda, with which so many reviewers have made comparisons. The entry off the street is into an elevated parking garage where customers are greeted and checked in in a clear and orderly fashion. Appointment times are generally honored, and customers are clearly contacted during their visit via an intercom system. I generally trust the quality of the service provided, and most of the advice that's dispensed about what services need to be performed. However, some of the price quotes are very high. And there are certain issues, like air conditioner problems, that they won't even look into without a hefty diagnostic fee. I will definitely continue to visit Yonkers Honda for maintenance services, but have learned to shop around a bit for everything else. read more

I have used here several times before to take care of the manufacturer's recalls and advanced technical diagnoses. My suggestion is to avoid this place at any cost. I guess Yorktown and DCH would be a much better shot. My consistent impression is that they are always trying to take advantage of your ignorance to overcharge. In my case, they have SECRETLY charged for their diagnostic work to re-do a failed repair WITHOUT any explicit explanation. Why do I have to pay for them to clean up their mess? The service rep clearly took advantage of my being in rush. So, if you are very familiar with the tech detail of the car and how they charge, you should be fine. But if you are a non-expert, a busy business person who does not want to waste time to dispute deceptive bills, and the type of person who might not receive full respect from them (women, the young, immigrants, etc.), just avoid. read more

Brought my car in for a recall, waited two hours, asked for an update the staff member I spoke to told me it was almost ready. TWO hours later I asked for an update the same guy tells me it's almost done.. i said you said that 2 hours ago.. his reply to me was, in my defensive you wasn't supposed to wait for the car here you was supposed to leave. Not sorry for the wait not sorry for telling you it was almost done when it wasn't...Not sure how I was supposed to leave when I only have one car that was being serviced for the recall. I was very patient until I started getting automatic responses like it's almost ready. When I register the car he did not mention "I was supposed to leave" and when I checked about the car 2 hours in he was informed that I was here waiting. When I arrived to check in, I was told that don't perform that service on Saturdays because they don't have the manpower and that I would have to re-schedule and that there was nothing they could do. AVOID!!!! This place is a complete ripoff. I took my car for recall and I ended up with $2200 bill to replace water pump, thermostat, suspension and rear brake pads. I took the car for service at 8am, the service advisor called me at 10am to tell me all things that are needed to be done. I was dumb enough to agree. I should have called the mechanic I go to regularly. I was so mad when I saw the breakdown of the bill. They charged me for 14 hours labor. How that is even possible? The math does not add up. They started work past 10am and was told at 4pm they were done. That's 6 hours provided my car was the only one the mechanic worked on. The service advisor said two mechanics worked on my car. Ok. Even with two mechanics 14 hours labor the math still does not makes sense. I will never recommend this place to anyone. I feel like I've been robbed in a very stupid way. read more

Stay AWAY from Yonkers Honda Service Center!! I had my car for 3 months and my car died. I took it to them and they said it was my battery. I Had it replaced. Shortly after my car died AGAIN and when I called the manager Jeremy he told me it was probably just "another bad battery" They don't offer loaner cars like every other dealership does. Instead they told me I could rent a car through them. I asked to speak to whoever was above him and was told he would call me back! Never got that call. I called Mount Kisco Honda and they immediately took my car in, gave me a loaner and said it sounds like a bad starter. They ran a diagnostic test and sure enough it was the starter! Had Yonkers Honda actually taken the time to do the test the FIRST time they would've figured this out. Apparently 2015 accords are known to have the starters go bad. Yonkers Honda never mentioned that or even looked into it. I should not have had to go through this twice in 6 months. I will never step foot in that service center again! Thank God I found Mount Kisco Honda because they have proven to be trustworthy and professional and can actually diagnose a problem unlike Yonkers. read more

Pretty Good Service. This is where I usually take my car for maintenance and service. The guys who you see first when pulling in are always cool & straight to the point. Im always paired up with Jonathan Lopez as my Service Advisor and he always does a decent job when explaining and recommending, along with doing the best he can on prices. I find this place way better then the Service Center in the bronx (zerega) . They are pretty fast at times. Sometimes they take long, depends on work. But efficient. I recommend. read more

I went to Yonkers Honda for the first time. For a oil change and to have a sunroof visor installed. They did a good job. Friendly and professional. I would have given them five stars but when I got my car back I noticed and small oil spotted area around my sunroof area. On the soft material. I like Honda very much, and always try to kind my material clean. Of course mistakes happen, which is why I only removed one star. I'll be there again very soon. Bad news. Took car for recall of airbag inflator. Everything goes well until my car is given back to me with engine light on and blinking and car running badly. This is why I hate having anyone else touch my car besides my trusted and very honest mechanic. Spoke to gentleman at Honda who helped me check car in and said that the car was brought that way. I know my car and have been driving a long time. Long enough to know this type of thing does not happen in 5 minutes. Nice try - next time maybe pick a younger person who isn't savvy to this type of setup. What do want to bet if I left my car with Honda to have the problem checked, I would have needed a catalytic convertor!!! One piece of advice I can offer when they take photo of your dashboard make sure car is running. read more

And all the while like a true car sales men they are bullshiting me on prices. I took my car to this place because the "emission system problem" light went on for the second time with in four months. They didn't find any problem the first time. This time around I had to wait two days for them to figure out the problem. After four days, I decide to go in person to figure out when my car will be ready. I contacted this particular Honda service center because someone had stolen a sensor from my car. I was told to speak with RJ and he would assist me. Well this happened back in March. I had called and left him a message to find out when this part would be in and I got NO response. So I took my car for an oil change and spoke with him again directly and was then told he needed a claim number and that he had sent me a text, which he did not. So I told him and he said he would send it again and DID NOT. So I returned a call to the service department to respond to them asking me about my car after service. I asked AGAIN for RJ and was told he'd call me back well I got no call. Today 7/28/21 I called my car insurance agent to find out not only did he NOT order the part I needed for my car but he lied and said he gave me some number (which he did not) and he NEVER submitted the pictures to my insurance company as he told me he did. So I am now going to another Honda who already ordered the parts for my car that hadn't been fixed in 5 months because of incompetence. STAY AWAY!!!!!! Save yourself the aggravation! read more
