Due to his inability to post grades by the date he was supposed to my grade now shows my grade as failed and I have to submit a petition for my financial aid. Already 2 weeks delayed now how much longer will it be delayed? I won't take anymore classes with Nakano. Worst teacher I have ever had. All assignments were pre made and he wasnt present at all and his syllabus was hard to understand. Your required to reply to students but thats kind of hard when he doesn't approve the discussion posts on time

What a beautiful campus…read more Came here for a conference and it was so refreshing to be on a campus that wasn't over 50 years old. The campus opened around 2005 and still looks brand new. Their fields, buildings, and lakes are all pretty. I went to the bookstore and got a pendant for my collection. I hope they keep up the beauty and appearance of the campus as years go on.

The town is too far away to be of any use (not that it's a great college town anyway, but at least it has a sandwich shop). There are no clubs, no activities, no reason to be there. I may get some flack about some small random club, but you can compare their website to any other university and judge for yourself. Students returning state they hate it. It's just a money grab. My son slipped into major depression there, sought help and was told by a counselor "you will never beat your depression". How incredibly F-up is that?!? I took it with a grain of salt, that it was his interpretation of the situation, but ultimately made the call to drive down at midnight and pull his ass out of there. Glad I did, got him the help that he really needed. Just talked to a former student that went there this semester, same story, so I'm writing this review. So parents, be very aware, you are going to have to check on your child's well being often. I would not trust anything about this campus, and it's their own doing. Please listen to them and don't be afraid to pull them out.

I ended up failing during my prerequisite courses, leaving me with a $1,500 debt that I had to repay before I could try again. When I decided to return to nursing school, I carefully researched my options and chose the Modesto campus. Although both campuses were about 40 miles from where I lived, the commute to Modesto felt more manageable. More importantly, the Modesto campus felt like home. The support I received from the instructors and administrators went far beyond academics. They not only taught me how to become a nurse, but how to become a good nurse. Those lessons will stay with me throughout my career and for the rest of my life. My biggest piece of advice to future students is simple: read the books. Do not rely solely on Quizlet or shortcuts. Read the chapters, take handwritten notes, and put in the work. I am not the smartest person in the room, but I worked hard and gave this program my full effort. I want to express my sincere appreciation to Tu, Mr. Bennie, Ms. Laura, Amber, both Stephanies, and Stephanie at the front desk, who always answered my questions and every phone call. I am especially grateful to Stephanie Kelly, my first clinical instructor, as well as Ms. Maria, MJ, Ms. Nisha, and Tina, the nurse at my clinical site. Because of the guidance, encouragement, and support of these incredible individuals, I successfully became a licensed nurse. Today, I am proud to be working as a nurse in San Francisco. Module 1 was by far the most difficult not because of the material itself, but due to poorly prepared instructors who did not seem knowledgeable about what they were teaching, along with administration that relied heavily on fear and intimidation rather than support. Module 2 continued with the same issues. When I reached out for help regarding a class concern, I contacted Mr. Baca, the VN coordinator, and received a very cold, dismissive response. There was no compassion, no guidance, and his demeanor was unprofessional, rude, and insincere. This lack of support was consistent throughout the program. Module 3 was overall the easiest academically; however, the Med-Surg 2 instructor was frequently absent and displayed petty behavior, which further reflected the program's lack of structure and accountability. Module 4 was the one exception. Dawn, the OB instructor, was exceptional--she is one of the most passionate and dedicated nurses I have ever met. Ms. Charmaine, the instructor thats a NICU nurse was also outstanding and truly amazing. These two instructors were the highlight of the program and the only ones who genuinely cared about student learning and success. Along with Jay the clinical instructor, he holds a lot of passion for what he does. I did pass the exit exam and have completed the program. I would only recommend this school to individuals who are 100% committed to becoming a nurse, highly resilient, and capable of navigating a program with minimal support. Unfortunately, there is little to no help from instructors or management. Ms.Tu although i did not speak to her much she was always professional and helpful when i did contact her. Overall, this program lacks organization, professionalism, and adequate student support.

It's so awesome to learn about their Disabilities Support Programs and Services and well as their Calworks and Basic needs programs. I found out they have a financial aid representative here every Monday until 4pm and counseling available by appointment! I love that all of these services and more are right in our pocket. I spoke with Heidi Santino, the Resource Specialist, and she sent me up with information about Delta's Food Pantry. Dr. Pablo Ortega, the Dean of the campus was so welcoming and he made me feel right at home. Jessica Torres the Student Programs Specialist helped me find the Financial Aid representative on campus and I was able to get help right away! All of the student workers were insanely sweet and it's great to have support from my peers. I can't wait for Fall 2025 at the South Campus!

Delta college has pretty easy classes to get into. There is the main campus in Stockton, and the…read moresmaller campus in mountain house/Tracy. I have not had problems registering for most classes as long as you sign up during the registration period. Most classes you can also register into by showing up on the first day, there are usually a few students who drop. Some of the professors are a hit or miss. I like the Tracy campus because it is easy to get in and out of. I have taken two classes at the Tracy campus and have like the professors so far. Once I finish the semester I will update my review.
