This is a really cute cafe nestled in Wynwood that is a must visit! Known for their baguette…read moresandwiches, I just had to try one. And seeing that a lox baguette (Laurie's Lox) was offered on the menu (I love me a good lox bagel), I knew what I wanted. The baguette is honestly impressive - just the right amount of crisp (not enough to leave your mouth in shreds) mixed with a great amount of softness in each bite. The amount of salmon provided was quite plentiful and the toppings are quite fresh as well, making the overall sandwich very flavorful. And lastly the size of the sandwich very much justifies the price in my opinion. The service is friendly and fast, considering I had to take my sandwich to-go. One thing I would like to note is I came very early in the morning (just after opening time, 9am, on a Tuesday), so I was able to find parking very easily. But I can see how later in the day finding parking can be quite a challenge in the surrounding area. Regardless of the parking, I would definitely still like to visit again one day!

Picking up a South Beach Food and Wine ticket is a great premise to stay and try a sandwich here…read more Order your food at the counter, get a number stand to place on your choice of seat. There is counter seating, a long table, a handful of smaller tables and a sofa at the entrance for your choice of cafe seating. They have a water cooler across from the counter to serve yourself water. I got a Turkey Brie-yonce ($14), which has turkey, brie, spinach, red onion, avocado. The baguette was fresh with good flour flavor and crusty crunch. There is no spread or sauce on the sandwiches because they give you a bottle of garlic cilantro and dijon vinaigrette to pour onto your sandwich as you eat it. I don't know if something was wrong with my taste buds but I honestly didn't taste much of a difference with the garlic cilantro and dijon vinaigrette besides the vinaigrette being, well, more acidic. I couldn't have told you what was in the garlic cilantro was if I didn't know what kind of sauce it was. Otherwise, the sandwich clearly had fresh ingredients and was lovely to eat with several pours of the sauces. It does make me think that someone may not like the sauces, so it would help to have a couple more sauce choices if the sandwiches are not dressed. They nonetheless know a quality sandwich with bread that the French would find acceptable. I'd return to try a different sandwich if I'm in the area!

Five of us ordered: 5 Cafecitos 1 Pan con Lechon 3 Pan con Bistec 1 Coladita 1 Timba Came out to $107.45 including a $10 tip. We already had a memorable Cubano sandwich so we explored other options. The Lechon was by far the crowd favorite flavor wise, but it is heavier with the pork fat. The garlic sauce is a must to help cut through the richness. We left supremely happy with the salty and garlicky fat flavors lingering on our tastebuds, rejuvenated by a quick shot of velvety espresso, and capped off with the sweet guava and tangy queso crema shake (La Timba). This location is nestled in a food court style area, with a few restaurants offering sit down table service as well. And when I say offering, the sales tactics are reminiscent of timeshare sales zombies standing in an idle state until you mistakenly stop for a BEAT and then it's game on for them. Luckily at Sanguich, they have a few dedicated seats and tables for themselves and they'll come drop your order for you. A little bit of a scavenger hunt to find it, but well worth the adventure. The views out on the water are a bonus too.

The matcha was so watered down though, there was no flavor. I would say the biggest downside is that their service is horrible, and I never complain about service. They completely ignore you if you need something, they are unapproachable and do not make it a nice experience for you. We got a couple drinks to go and the carrier tilted off the counter and spilled one because they didn't see the end of the ledge. They stared at us as if it was our fault, and had a clean and wipe everything until they put out a wet floor sign. It's not common for me to think of a place and only remember how bad their service is and how rude the staff is. I feel like they are just lucky their food is good.
