Every time we turn around, we find another reason to love this place. The food has been incredible, the drinks have been top-notch, and the folks we've met have been as friendly as they come. Now let me tell y'all about the real star of the day... Nimble & Finn's Handmade Ice Cream! Now, I don't usually get all worked up over ice cream. It's good and all, but I'm usually more of a "maybe next time" kind of gal. But when I saw they had Lavender Honeycomb... well, suga, you didn't have to tell me twice! Lord have mercy... it was GOOD. I mean, "close your eyes and savor every bite" kind of good. I would've licked the cup clean if I'd thought nobody was watching. The sweet gal behind the counter said Lavender Honeycomb has quite the following, and after one bite, I believe every word of it. So if you're anywhere around Santa Rosa, do yourself a favor and scoot on over to Nimble & Finn's. Grab yourself a scoop--or two--and see what all the fuss is about. I have a feeling you'll be planning your next visit before you even leave the parking lot! Hubby got an Ice cream sandwich Northern California... y'all are sure making it easy to feel right at home.

Small batch, homemade and delicious. We ran right into this cute shop so we popped in. Calm vibe and friendly staff is what you will find here. Their summer menu is serving up all kinds of delicious scoops and I decided to try the matcha strawberry swirl and the sea salt caramel. Nice easy to eat scoops and we ate it all. The matcha strawberry swirl was the best in the terms of two scoops. So creamy and you could still taste the earthiness of the matcha with a hint of strawberry. Very refreshing. The owners of this shop Leandra and Jazmin (sisters) use only organic dairy from Straus Creamery, seasonal produce, house jams, cakes and candy to come up with their takes on classic flavors. They have won several gold medal awards in Sonoma County and the Sonoma County Harvest Fair. This shop is unique in that it makes ice cream cocktails. Yes, with real alcohol. I didn't try one on this day but I was tempted. In addition to this location, they also have a shop in Guerneville.

In my opinion, Noble Folk not only has the best ice cream in Sonoma County, but also some of the best pies and cupcakes. They do just about everything dessert as well as support other local businesses and local farms. They have a wonderful assortment of merch you can buy and they also have a great staff of people who work for them. On this particular visit, we came in for ice cream. Their ice cream flavors are really unique and fun, with lots of flavors and textures. Tonight I tried their Sticky Toffee flavor, which was superb. I am also very partial to their Dutch Chocolate and their Earl Grey ice cream. Besides their ice cream, I've also had their pie on several occasions including ordering their pies for holidays. They are a great business to support so please stop on by and check it out!

I liked seeing that they source ingredients locally. They have other locations, like in Healdsburg. Immediately, I was greeted with the sweet scent of pie. There were lots of cookie options in the bakery case. They had a lot of ice cream flavors, too, but they only allow two samples per person. I tried the coffee and peach, but neither tasted good to me. I ended up asking the server what were the popular flavors. Then I got a split scoop $6.25 of DUTCH COOKIE and PISTACHIO CHERRY. They were both really good. It tasted like real, homemade ice cream to me. There are just a few seats by the window. No outdoor seating. Parking: You will need to find metered street parking spots around the area. No bathroom. Credit card/Apple Pay accepted. No Wifi.

I mean it is the best ice cream I've ever had, anywhere, in this country and others. The ice cream is impeccably crafted, using many local ingredients and it is consistently excellent. Also, the owner must be a great picker of people, because the young people who work there are warm, friendly, and efficient. It is always a pleasure to deal with them; they never give off, the "I-hate-working-here-and-customers-are-irritating" vibes that can sometimes be found in establishments that primarily hire young people. And I have never seen employees on their phones, which is also pretty remarkable. Excellent product, good people, and a colorful and enjoyable environment puts Screaming Mimi's in a league all its own. And lest you think I'm the owner's sister or a shill for the company, let me assure you I'm just a regular customer who has a enjoyed and appreciated this business since the day they opened decades ago, and I just never got around to writing a review until now. Don't miss Screaming Mimi's.

The space doesn't fit too many people so the line usually extended a little outside the door until space opened up. Service was always really helpful each time which was great with any questions I had. I noticed that things move pretty quickly as well linewise so it wouldn't be too bad either way. So far I've gotten the brioche provencale, regale, coup de cour, brioche cannelle (large pecan). Everything has been good but the cannelle has been my favorite so far. The crust is delectable and the ribbons are just sweet enough for me. I nibbled my way through that thing over a couple of weeks. The fruit adorning the pastries always had a great flavor to them. The coup de cour with blueberries was the most interesting I'd say. I really liked the balance between the fruit and the chocolate in the center. It wasn't too sweet which was great. The one thing I haven't tried are the actual loaves of bread. I grab too many pastries when I've gone, but I'll make sure not to get distracted the next time.
