Love coming here!! If youre in the mood for some Mexican antojitos, this is the spot to go They are always fully stocked with their ice cream, aguas frescas and paletas. Over the hot weekend, came to Fru-Ta for a cool down! I love Fru-Ta because they have a mix of different ice creams. They have pre-made ice cream bars in various flavors, sorbets, yogurts, paletas, esquimal, smoothies, milkshakes, acai bowls, aguas frescas, etc. I ordered their Bionico and the Sorbet Magonada. The Bionico is healthy and filled with fruits topped with special sweet milk. It's like eating a fruit bowl! It comes with diced appleas, cantaloupe, mango, banana, granola, strawberries, coconut and raisins. The Sorbet Magonada is for those that loves tamarind/sour. I like the business! Petaluma is great, and so is the one by Hwy 12. But I will never go back to the Stony Point location. Parece que les duele hacer su trabajo. This location is RACIST: I've been to the Stony point location multiple times and every single time after my visit I feel sick to my stomach I stand in line for far to long while everyone else that has entered in after me if greeted and I am never greeted or made feel welcomed or glade for my business my daughter really enjoys the ice cream and who doesn't love bionicos. After todays visit I am left the same pit I ordered online this time to save from being embarrassed of the poor treatment however they still managed to get it in again no green although everyone else was with great smiles too and I had to stand at the pick up window waiting for someone to just hand it to me for several extended minutes while they helped everyone in line even the customers that came in after me. I will no longer go to any Fruta it is unfortunate because I enjoy the food. This is really disappointing. I had a friend of mine order me a binocio with everything but as I was half way eating it, I would taste the saltiness of the Tajin. The picture doesn't do its justice since i pretty much ate the part of the Tajin, but you can clearly see the specks of Tajin. My loved ones settled for the peach yogurt ice cream on sugar cones, chilly deliciousness! What is also eye catching is their variety of fruity popsicles, also freshly made on premises. What really caught my eye was their version of a fruit parfait. I'd define it to be their version of our Filipino "halo-halo" (minus the crushed ice). A fairly large clear cup packed with layers of freshly cut up fruit (apples, mangos, grapes, strawberries) with sweet cream poured all in. Everyone is always friendly. I went in after my outpatient surgery because my husband insisted I needed a treat. It was just as wonderful as the last time I wrote a review. It's so hard to make a decision because the flavors are so varied and unusual. I can't have ice cream or yogurt every day because I'm diabetic, or I'd be down there all the time and probably weigh 500 lbs. Don't miss the rose petal flavor or any other for that matter. Sweet, interesting texture, and tastes just like Tamalito, the corn scoop you get at Chevy's, for those of you who don't know what I'm talking about. Pinon. Pine nuts with a creamy fruit base. Surprisingly addictive, with a satisfying crunch and creamy pine nut flavor. Tequila. 'Nuff said. Cheese. This one piqued my interest, since I love cheese, and it did not disappoint. Very fun and yummy, with a rich creamy texture. Peach. FANTASMIC. Oh so good. Super yogurt-y and tart with a savory tang. Rose. Tastes as good as a rose smells, and leaves you feeling refreshed. Avocado. Wow, what a seriously good idea! The creaminess of an avocado, sweetened? I wish I had thought of it myself. Just slightly sweet. Walnut. Self explanatory, but very nutty and had full chunks in it, not just the flavor, which was a real treat for walnut lovers like me. Chongo Zamorano. We went to this place and bought a bunch of ice cream and one of them my son asked for almonds in it but when we got in the car we found out it was peanuts, the manager at this place need to train the workers so this doesn't happen to them too. Kinda pricey for what they offer compared to other similar icecream parlors. The service here is incredibly slow as well. My average wait time everytime I visit is 25mins or more. I'd understand if they were understaffed or insanely busy but often times I just see the employees casually chatting with other instead of efficiently working. It gets old when theres only two parties ahead of me with four workers yet I'm still waiting nearly 30minutes or longer for my drinks or ice cream. I've been to this little fruit filled oasis now 3 times and have enjoyed all three experiences. The young adults working in the shop are courteous and very helpful. On my first trip I was full of question trying to learn about the specialty items I saw listed on the menu. While I ended up settling for a couple scoops of the delicious exotic flavor sorbet ( mamay and Jamaica ) they didn't make me feel uncomfortable for asking lots of questions about the various flavors. I've also tried a few of the frozen ice cream bars. The strawberry was like eating fresh strawberries and cream. I love the all natural flavors. My friend ordered a cup of frozen Mango pieces that had a sweet and sour sauce poured over the top. The mango was a bit hot to eat as it was really frozen however would have been great on a really hot day when the heat would actually work to your advantage in this case. Came here today and waited in line. I was the last one in line, when it was my turn to order, the lady Rudely tells me "HEY WERE CLOSED NOW" then shuts the window closed and walks away.
