I was in the mood for something cold before the drive home. Using the Yelp App has a search engine...."frozen yogurt near me" pointed me to "Toppings" in the Mountain Shadows Plaza. I have reviewed 50-60 frozen yogurt shops in the San Francisco Bay Region. "Toppings" is a cute place with a colorful fun decor. This place does something that most places don't do......they clearly post nutritional info on the pumps. Frozen Yogurt isn't always healthy. With the nutritional info clearly posted, you can decide if you want to eat it. "Toppings" is a pay-by-weight, self-service, frozen yogurt shop. They also offer shakes, smoothies, ice cones, and floats. May 2026- price per weight = 81 cents/ oz. Tip: Make sure they deduct the "tare weight." That's the weight of the cup. When you weigh your fro-yo, the scale should deduct a small amount. Why 5-stars? Because this fro-yo is hellya good! I would drive all the way up to Rohnert Park just for the Dubai Chocolate! I got Mint, Dubai Chocolate, and Pineapple Whip! Very good flavors, no chalky after taste, and a good firm consistency.....not runny. They have 4 fro-yo machines. 12 possible flavors. You see 3 valves on the machine? The center valve is the swirl, or the blend of the two the flavors. Also, the restroom was very clean. You will find "Toppings" in the shopping plaza at Golf Course Dr & Country Club in Rohnert Park. It's near a Starbucks. Free parking. read more

Love this frozen yogurt shop! They have so many choices for yogurt, even a vegan option and soooo many toppings! They even have doggy ice cream! The staff is always friendly and attentive and I see who I believe is the owner at many community events like music in the park. Topping has been our local, go-to froyo place for several years. They have everything you can want in a good froyo place including a variety of flavors (gluten free options, low sugar options. Etc), a really good selection of toppings, and they also do things like smoothies here. They have a good rewards program that gives you $5 off once you get 50 points. The people who work there are always very nice and helpful if you need help. I also like that this feels like a good, local place that supports the community. I totally had forgotten that one of the girls in the salon is truly allergic to mangoes and starts itching at even a real good smell of mango in the air... There was a sign in the front stating that self-serve is not allowed (due to current COVID regulations), but the owner was happily helping us with our selections. My 7 year old daughter whispered she didn't have enough sour gummy worms topping and the owner quickly and very friendly rectified that and gave her an extra scoop. Thank you! Tons of variety in the toppings area and have a little easier set up on accessing them. We had coupons to take the kids for getting awards at school and they loved it. The flavors were good. It was a kid size cup which was the perfect size for them- not just the one size is all you get deal. My only thing I could see being an issue is the noise volume inside as there is nothing on the walls to help dampen the sound- it more like echo's in there and when you're the only people there it can seem like you are yelling when you are having a simple table volume conversation. THE best frozen yogurt in Sonoma County! Toppings IS open during the shelter in place order. The owner is usually there during the day, is always super friendly and will tell you what yogurt options are available for the day, as he does change them out quite often. The place is spotless-- always being wiped down, and floors mopped. Currently, the establishment opens at 1:00, and they do offer delivery. Tried this place the other day with my three year old. What a great find! They have a great selection of yogurt favors and a huge selection of toppings. I had a tough time deciding but ended up going with cheesecake yogurt with chocolate sauce and strawberries. Really delicious! The place is super clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I got to say I'm a fan of tutti melon but it's half an hour away from RP so the next closest frozen yogurt place its Toppings which just recently open in rohnert park. So we figured we try it and I got to say we like it. The staff was friendly, the place was clean and one of the employees gave my daughter a balloon. I've been here quite a few times and really wanted to love this place since it's close to our home but it is really inconsistent and they rotate the same boring flavors over and over again. The frozen yogurt has come out super runny on a few occasions and on others it has come out icy or grainy. Not sure if this is just the way different employees make the frozen yogurt but I've had the same flavor come out completely different on separate trips. Until these consistency issues are figured out I think I'll just stick to Yogurtland in Petaluma, it's worth the trip for the unique flavors and consistently good tasting product. read more
