The studio is all open, which I love and I travel from DTLA to take Jay Co's class. I really enjoy his flow classes!

If you're curious to learn what yoga is really about, take Jay Co's class. Spoiler alert: it's not about flexibility ).

Ask the Community - yogazan

Do you guys have hot yoga?

hi matias, no we don’t. we heat to 75-80. with a lot of bodies in the room or in summer temps, the studio will get to mid-90s but we don’t do the 104 thing. thank you for asking.

Are there prenatal classes?

Are there showers?

No.

Do they pay close attention to newbies? I need to stretch and rev up my body, but am 73 and will need a couple of private classes to see what my limitations may be. I love the reviews!!…

yes. ask jayco. he will help you.

But with Covid, Yogaraj is currently online, and I'm still enjoying these online classes as much as in person.

I discovered Iconix Fitness after realizing my previous gym, a 24 Hour Fitness in Culver City, had…read moresimply outgrown its ability to provide the environment I was looking for. Cleanliness, safety, atmosphere, and overall experience had become increasingly important to me, so I began exploring other options including Equinox, LA Fitness, and several boutique gyms throughout Los Angeles. From my very first conversation with Charles at Iconix, the experience felt different. He exemplified true customer service -- knowledgeable, patient, professional, and genuinely invested in ensuring I had every detail needed to make the right decision for myself. There was never pressure, only consistency and care. Ironically, my initial visit almost talked me out of joining. The commute was nearly double what I was accustomed to, and the entire reason I started going to the gym after work was to avoid traffic, not drive deeper into it. I remember sitting in traffic convincing myself the entire way there that I absolutely would not be joining this gym. Then I walked in. What I expected to be "just another gym tour" turned into an experience. The atmosphere, the energy, the cleanliness, the professionalism, and the community completely shifted my perspective. I found myself not wanting to leave. What surprised me most is that Iconix became something I genuinely looked forward to. It no longer felt like a task squeezed into my day. It became part of my lifestyle. Every workout feels intentional, the environment remains motivating, and seeing familiar faces equally committed to growth and discipline creates an unspoken sense of community that is difficult to find elsewhere. Iconix didn't just change where I work out -- it changed how I feel about showing up for myself.

Icon Fit was my sanctuary when I was going through a breakup 2024. The retention here is strong. I…read morelook forward to seeing my afterwork and weekend morning gym crowd. Don't know anyone's names but it's comforting knowing they'll be there. The staff since I joined, has been great. The front staff always greet you and say goodbye haha. It's like when you're having a rough day and the cashier at Trader Joe's cheers you up. Even the membership card scanner says happy birthday to you! The maintenance staff is always friendly and say hello. The womens locker room is clean. There's rarely any towels just laying on surfaces in the locker room. I never see litter. Doesn't smell gross. Some lockers have broken hinges, but there's literally hundreds to choose from. I like the new glute and cardio equipment. I've taken a few classes- kickboxing with Steven and Robert and then the mobility pop-up. Steven is more cardio kickboxing while Robert is more about technique. I enjoy chatting with Robert. We always have fun convos. I want to try the cardio dance class. I feel like that would be fun. Shout out to Nic and Donovan. They were the ones who welcomed me on day 1. I miss Gabby's playlists! That being said, the disinfectant wipe order needs to increase. I go through about two wipes per workout- one when I hit the strength machines and the second one when I hit cardio. Or maybe a bottle of disinfectant like how planet fitness has disinfectant stations (2 bottles and a roll of paper towels). See you tomorrow!

3.5 stars No doubt the instructor knew what he was doing…read moreand was talented himself but negatives are as follows: The parking situation is very tight. This 'studio' is located in a strip mall that shares space with nutrifit, oop sushi and saki, a korean kbbq join, massage parlor, thai place and hair studio. Parking is compact and capped at 30min although it didnt seem to be a problem for me when i was there for this class Next the studio itself - it's super small and only fit 8 of us comfortably (instructor included) youre literally doing yoga in a hallway The walls are adorned with canvases of the instructor in various poses and there's supplies (matts, blocks, pillows in the back Theres also various teas up by the front door (for sale? Not sure) I did not like that he adjusted without asking the class permission first with who was comfortable being touched - although he seemed to adjust regulars so maybe he knows theyre okay or have provided consent - i did like that when he adjusted he had a pashmina between him and the person he was adjusting For an all levels class some of it was basic and i felt like it could have been a faster pace for a vinyasa class - but when we did certain balancing posture homie took it past intermediate and went straight to advanced positions lol *he also recorded/streamed the class* could have been in the waiver but it wasnt explicitly stated. Had i been aware beforehand that he would be recording i likely would have left Not sure i would be back personally, it was a free class pass credit and for whatever reason cp wouldnt let me book with my normal studio

The Vibe: You stay in the room, but everything moves. (This…read moreis the new theater. And yeah, it's your show.) The Space: There's a clear progression. Entry: A natural, open atrium Walk-in: Clean, gallery-like Meditation Room: Darker, softer, low to the ground. It mirrors the journey you're about to take. The Classes - Camila's Breathwork & Sound Bath: The container opened with a theme: Prune the plant. Remove what's dead so what's alive can expand. Breathwork: Open-mouth breath pattern. Belly chest (inhale, inhale) Exhale In Sync. Rhythmic. Effective. At some point, the music carried the message: You don't wait for life to change to feel better. You shift first. What you choose internally is what gets reflected back to you. (https://youtu.be/2GzFRyZxIkY?si=OwRNUXb_GPzBCMLH) Then Ruthie's Time Travel Meditation: We started with a slow body relaxation...feet to crown, and somewhere along the way...you disappear (ahhhh, yaaaaaaas!). Blissed out. The only thing that really stayed was the question: "What truly matters to you?" And the answer didn't come as thinking. It came as knowing. The Container: Both instructors clearly explained what to expect. Which translates to: Safety. Relaxation. Letting go. Feeling. Practical Notes: Wear something you can fully relax in (you're lying down most of the time) Expect emotional + physical release (it's not just "relaxing") Great if you're feeling full, overwhelmed, or in transition This is more inner work than "class" Bring a journal and markers for insight!
