Through years of yoga styles and fads, I've never been able to maintain a consistent, beneficial practice that connects all three virtues of strength, spirituality, and wellness until I had the fortune of meeting Deneene last February. The practice is customized to meet me where I am at physically and emotionally each time I approach the mat. Whether it's over Zoom, or sometimes in person, we designed a practice that has resulted in steady, incremental changes for long-term sustainability. Deneene is great with explaining the names and benefits of each posture, while checking form and giving gentle reminders on incorporating breath work. She is conscious of my body's ever-changing stress tolerance and emphasizes movement "only if it feels good." It gives an organic, customized feel to each practice as opposed to cookie cutter movements I've typically received from studios or other online classes in the past. After spending way too much money at other gyms on classes and extras I wasn't using, I decided to rejoin Motion and look into working with a trainer. Alicia happened to be there when I signed up, and we've been meeting once a week ever since. I'm in my 50s, and after having bariatric surgery and losing about 100 pounds, my goal is to rebuild muscle, strength, and stamina. With bad knees and a previous shoulder injury, I needed someone who could help me make progress while respecting those limitations. Alicia has been wonderful at showing me how to use the machines and choosing exercises that challenge me without aggravating my knees or shoulder. They have good equipment and a nice variety of machines and free weights. They have everything I need to keep on top my exercise regime. They only cons I can list are that they don't provide towels or shower supplies, but this in normal for a gym that is priced at this price point. They do have 1 shower that is kept clean and if you bring your own stuff you can use it. They also do not have locking lockers, just cubbies to put your stuff in. But it's clear that the people that go here are nice folks and I never feel that my stuff is at risk at all. They have two rooms for stretching. One with big soft stationary mats and another with yoga mats that you roll out and put away when your done. The yoga mats are a little beat up. So bring your own if your going to have an issue with that. Overall I am very glad I found this place and am grateful that it's very centrally located and has a friendly but considerate group of people working out. Highly recommend checking it out.

Ultimately, the $20 fee was more important to them than staying on good terms with a long time customer. EDIT: I notified you of my intent to cancel 6/19 and you refused to do so. You crediting me back was not a "kindness" but a legal requirement of the contract we signed. You charging me $20 to fix your mistake is absolutely disgusting, and any reasonable human would agree. You know the $20 fee wouldn't stand in court, but you also know it's not worth my time to continue to fight it. You have no integrity and you should be ashamed of yourself.
