Great instructors. Studio is clean and calm. Small groups. Variety of times and classes

I have been wanting to try yoga for sometime now, so after seeing a sign for YogaDale on the freeway the name just stuck & i looked them up. First impression: 10:30am class for beginners with Nancy was so calming & relaxing. It just so happens that they were having a few free classes this weekend so i really lucked out. This particular class had alittle over 10 people in it & the fact that it was my first time i enjoyed how welcoming everyone was, Nancy included. Everything was very clean & organized. Some advice: although drops ins are welcome($15) i can see why registering online would be the better option. Your info is already in their system when you arrive & you're off to pick your spot. Also, parking is limited to what you can find on the main road so try to arrive early if you take one of the afternoon classes i can see someone driving around or walking alittle to get to the studio. They have some mats that you can buy, there were also some mats on the shelves that im assuming you can use for a fee if you dont have one, I'm not sure about the specifics on this one because I took my own, but if you don't have one call ahead and ask. Conclusion: I really enjoyed myself & how patient Nancy was, i will be back. read more

YOC has experienced and wise teachers who support you to modify and adapt the poses to your body and your limits. I have done a week-long retreat with Jenn and Katina in Mexico and they were the most lovely and supportive leaders, encouraging students who ranged from newbies to longtime yogis. I regularly Zoom into classes and find that I can enjoy the teaching just as much from home. A wonderful studio! read more

I try to do yoga whenever I travel, and my time in Healdsburg was no different. I went to the Saturday and Sunday morning classes. Even though I had a sub on Saturday, he was great and it was one of my favorite yoga classes I've taken in a while. I don't do iyengar yoga which was his specialty but he had a really nice way of teaching the class. The space is airy and open. The teachers at this studio saved my life, literally. I was diagnosed with a serious heart condition about two and a half years ago, and decided to start doing yoga as a way of managing it. It was transformative: all of the teachers with whom I've taken classes-- Katina, Jenn, Kit, Amy, Daniel, Carmen, Molly, Kiera...have been amazing in their own ways. I've been able to push beyond physical and mental boundaries in ways that I did not think possible. YoC offers many different styles of yoga, which I really appreciate. It doesn't matter what level you are-- beginning to advanced-- there will be something for you here. Unfortunately my schedule has been crazy for the past six months, and before that I had a hip injury, so I haven't been around much lately, and I'm jonesing to get back into my YoC groove. I just took my first class this Saturday with Nancy! 75 mins of pure bliss! Highly recommend this studio! I am still a beginner yogi and Nancy made sure all levels were enjoying the class. My two friends and I were able to join the class a few minutes prior. Will definitely return ASAP. read more

We were fortunate enough to have Vinita teach our private yoga session this past weekend - she was wonderful! I was having a ladies get together in Healdsburg and wanted to conclude the weekend with a private yoga session at the house we rented. Vinita was in touch a couple of weeks before our weekend to confirm plans and find out what kind of yoga session we were hoping for. She arrived early to set up, brought nine yoga mats, and her own speaker. We LOVED her and the session she led us in. She was warm, knowledgeable, and intuitive. She had a great energy about her and was able to quickly assess the skill level of our group and tailor the session as such. Would take a class from her again in a heartbeat! Very clean space and supportive instruction. The vinyasa flow was a bit fast and it was warm in there, but well worth it. I dropped in since I was in the area. For $15, it's money well spent. read more

I love yoga. I'm not a yogi or anything, but I have a huge appreciation for the bit of yoga that is in my life...and for the teachers who I really connect with. One such teacher is Carmen at Yoga on Center. She is truly a transformative pillar of strength. I have never felt more "at home" in a yoga class before. As my sister in law once put it... "When I leave Carmen's class, my SOUL actually feels better!" Try her Slow Flow class Sunday mornings. I've been here a couple times and have had a solid workout. It's a good place to pop into with regular classes, but not much into yoga philosophy or vinyasa ie one movement one breath. Classes are more like yoga-cerise. read more

A great studio with great teachers in many different traditions and styles. Prices are reasonable, the studio is very clean (and they use natural non-toxic cleaners), hard wood floors, natural light and friendly folks. I've taken classes from most of the teachers, taken a couple of workshops, attended the meditations, and participated in one of the spring cleanses. I've been going to Yoga on Center (YOC) since March of 2009, and I've been practicing yoga since 2000. I'm really grateful to have this fantastic studio so close to where I live. read more
